Mulder1617 commented on Wii U Virtual Console Launch Lineup Is Revealed:

What a lame list! I wish they would just release all of the games they showed on the video. Its bad enough they made us think it was going to launch today. Then they pull the rug out from under us and give us crappy VC games. Sheesh Nintendo!

Mulder1617 commented on Wii U System Update Coming Next Week:

Sorry to burst bubbles but I guess the update is either happening today or on Thursday :( It really sucks!!! Pictures that were seen around the net that said 3 days away, then two apparently meant "until the spring update" not VC release.

Mulder1617 commented on Talking Point: An Open Letter To Nintendo:

Zelda has stunk since Ocarina?!!! WOW!! That right there is a V-8 smack yourself on the forehead moment. Zelda has done very well since then with Twilight Princess, the remake of Ocarina in 3D, and Skyward Sword (which was epic!!). People were screaming for Link to be an adult and so they made him into an adult in Twilight Princess. Then they complained the game was too dark and thought it was dumb that he turned into a wolf for a good portion of the game. Then there is the whole Ubisoft debacle with Rayman getting pushed back and Ninja Gaiden: Razor's Edge now going to XBox 360 and Playstation 3 and it is frustrating but these things happen. There is always going to be a Pach-Attack, a third party that decides they want nothing to do with Nintendo or the Wii U, something totally unexpected that puts a game possibly on hold for a long time (i.e. Smash Bros. Wii U due to Sakurai's problems with his hands and wrists), sales numbers, and not enough 1st party games. The guy raises a lot of okay points but also is blowing a lot of hot air of "impatience". I agree with a lot of those others who made comments before mine that said wait until E3 because we never know what Nintendo has up their sleeves and until then we just need to sit down, relax, hunt and kill some monsters, drive like speed demons and mow poor lego people down, and bust some ghosts with our man of the year Luigi.

I have a good feeling that when they merged together their hand held department and with some other department that they are possibly working on another totally different type of system. So, I don't Nintendo is quitting anytime soon in the hardware business.

Mulder1617 commented on Analyst Firm Concerned That Wii U Will "Lack B...:

I am afraid to say this but I fear that just a few HD rehashes on a new machine that is just catching up to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 may get blown out of the water if the X-box 720 and PS4 come out this year. There is already a ton of awesome first party games on the 3DS that to me is doing so much better and has a better chance at real success in the long run. Perhaps I'm being too pessimistic but I really regret having sold my ambassador 3ds for a Wii U.

Mulder1617 commented on Pick Up Keldeo For Free in Pokémon Giveaway:

There are actually some pokemon creator programs out there or hacks I guess you could call them that you can use to generate a Keldeo, Genesect, or Meoletta which are the three extras you can unlock in Pokemon Black and White. So, if you don't have a Gamestop or Gamestation or GAME you might want to try that route (even though its technically not "legal" to use them in battles online).

Mulder1617 commented on Those Wii U Launch Details Might be Coming in ...:

I have read on other sites about that being the most likely day for the news we've all been waiting for! :) I hope it will be a November release, price around $250 in the U.S., maybe some launch games and prices, if both white and black colors will be available here, and if something like Nintendo Land would be packed in.

For anyone else here, like myself, from North America, I didn't see anything for that Final Fantasy music game in the e-shop under demos. Do you know if you have to have a copy of the game in order to have anything show up for download?

Mulder1617 commented on Talking Point: Reviewing Nintendo's E3 Press C...:

The best part overall was the beginning of the presentation with Miyamoto and Pikmin 3. Nintendoland was boring, news about Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3ds was boring (especially since all you do is grab gold coins) which I will gladly pass on buying, and a few other highlights of games coming up. No big free running 3d Mario game or Zelda was a huge disappointment. And, is the Wii U really that more powerful than the current Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 as they had predicted? Its not looking to be that way, unless you add on some extra memory.

Mulder1617 commented on E3 2012: Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon to Launch ...:

Why? Why Nintendo why?? First they tease us last E3 with footage of this game that got me really amped for it and I was sitting here anticipating a release date of hopefully like July or August and ....Holidays?? Good grief. And, they didn't even mention Animal Crossing at all or a release date for that. :(

Mulder1617 commented on Sakurai: Dual Analogue Control in Kid Icarus: ...:

I tried the circle pad pro the first time and it was bulky. I was dumb enough to return it and then end up buying it again. Both times my wrist was totally screwed up and in pain. I could barely hold the stylus either way. Adjusting the level and speed, etc. of the stylus didn't help me either. So, I tried moving with the A,X,B,Y buttons and that worked for awhile along with the stylus and once again my wrist was a wreck. Setting up the cross button, left, or right shoulder button to use powers is a pain too because you like have to stop right in the middle of battle to push whatever button you had mapped to use the power and end up getting pummeled. I tried fighting online and got my butt kicked every time most likely by right handed people. Movement was just too intense in battle against other players and left handers are left getting the shaft.

Did you get a trophy for your world record score on Donkey Kong, jr? If so, where do you keep it in your home?

Have you ever thought about coaching some of the younger people of this generation in the different aspects of planning, practicing, and developing strong skills to help further their chances in world arcade scoring history?

Mulder1617 commented on Ask Steve Wiebe:

Are there any other arcade games that you have considered attempting to break a world record on?

Will there be a sequel to King of Kong?

Do you currently own a next gen console? If so, which one? And what is your favorite genre of game?

Since your last attempt at breaking the world record again for Donkey Kong, (which was at E3 last year), do you think you will consider retiring from the world of competitive record breaking gaming?
