Mr_Pringles commented on Splatoon Developers Talk Stage Design and the ...:

I feel that Splatoon's map design is okay, but there are a few meh maps with huge biases to certain weapons (Mahi Mahi is ridiculous for long range weapons like Dyanamo Rollers and Jet Squelchers, E-Liters can control the entire mid area for Saltspray, etc). And then there's Arowana which is just silly in Splat Zones. Overall though I find them pretty fun, and I love the recent dynamic maps like Museum! I hope in Splatwoon they'll have more balanced weapons, and DEFINITELY more maps available per four hour rotation. Either that or two maps per two hour rotation

Mr_Pringles commented on Video: See Splatoon's New Fearsome Hydra Splat...:

@OorWullie Actually IMO it's one of, if not the best specials in the entire game. With echolocator, unless you have cold blooded, you cannot push against the enemy team at all, neither can you flank them. They know exactly where you are, and they're ready for it (unless they really suck with combat). If you're going up a wall or something snipers can get prepared to take their shot and splat you the second you appear. Rollers (or any other weapon tbh, just that rollers magnify this) can see if you're coming up to their corner even more easily with echolocator and just wait patiently for you to come to them. Plus echolocator completely handicaps rollers themselves, considering they can't hide in enemy ink, rendering them practically useless for 12 seconds. If you try to, say, enter the splat zone, the enemy team all know you are advancing and the next thing you know you have two or three people shooting at you at once. In Tower Control and Rainmaker the person who's in the tower/the rainmaker knows where you are, so they can just jump off the tower and finish you off, or just avoid where you are with Rainmaker. It's less so about whether you get killed by echolocator, but more about whether your team can operate well with it. It's the reason why cold blooded will permanently be one of my abilities in my gear. But even with cold blooded the enemy team still roughly knows where you are, so it only reduces echolocator's effectiveness, not completely ruins it. The only time when echolocator is bad is if the users themselves are bad, like using the special when there's like only one player alive in the enemy team pretty much a complete waste

Tldr in my opinion echolocator is really good because you can't do anything with it when used against you

Mr_Pringles commented on Video: Check Out Splatoon's Custom E-litre 3K ...:

@2xDair The custom scope works well for those who want to play e-litre defensively, with Kraken as an escape button for them. It's also good for the camper style snipers, because they can basically just keep on jumping to the same spot using quickly and switch to different spots using beakons easily as a strategy. Personally I favor vanilla e-litre scope for all the reasons you stated, but I can see why some would prefer the custom.

Also, why would you worry about people knowing your position as a sniper? It's a given that people already know where you are no matter what, with the laser and all.

Mr_Pringles commented on Obituary: Satoru Iwata:

He died so young... What a shame. R.I.P Iwata. Even though I may not agree with some of your practices, you were still the one who led Nintendo to an age of huge profits. Your contributions to the industry will never be forgotten

@Zobocop I had already settled this with the original commentor, so you're beating a dead horse.
PS:
There's no need for immature insults. Also, it's amusing that you didn't do research on the conversation the original commentor and I had before writing out that list for me. And yet, you criticize me for not doing my research before saying something. Furthermore, you didn't do research on how to apply the phrase "PS" in which contexts either, and yet you still use it. The irony of it all

Mr_Pringles commented on Review: EarthBound Beginnings (Wii U eShop / NES):

Mother 1/Earthbound Beginnings is a true NES RPG. Ridiculously difficult and many crptic messages scattered around. Anyone who might want to jump in to the Mother series and isn't that great at the genre should definitely try out Earthbound first.

...I guess you could say most people should try out Earthbound as... their Beginnings? Hehe

Just because a game is exclusive to Nintendo's platform does not mean Nintendo made the IP.

@DarksunRyda You said that all Gearbox makes are one IP at a time, I showed you other IPs that they also develop for, pointing out your ignorance on making such a statement. sadly, you attack my reading comprehension and the point of my comment

Also, perhaps you could provide a PSN ID or Gamertag to show that you play on other consoles as well?

@Project_Dolphin

You mentioned that "that isn't changing until the sales show otherwise"
Well, I've showed you that the sales have showed otherwise. And the games I mentioned are indeed from the famous Mario brand. So I fail to see how my point was irrelevant.

When did sales ever have to affect the quality and number of games a company is releasing? Seems to me that you're trying to add in another completely unrelated factor to change your point. Plus, LittleBigPlanet was a success, and it was neither a shooter nor an adventure game. Just a platformer. A new IP. The reason COD has been selling is because it has been here for more than 10 years. There is a loyal fanbase. Same as Mario, same as Uncharted. I was merely criticizing your ignorant view on what Sony pushes out. There are internal first parties Sony has like Guerrilla Games which makes shooters, and then there's first parties like Team Ico and Media Molecule which cnstantly produces new content.

@DarksunRyda Until Dawn isn't a shooter. Bloodborne isn't a shooter. Persona 5 isn't a shooter. The Last Guardian isn't a shooter. Tearaway isn't a shooter. And that's not counting multiplats like Batman Arkham Knight, SF 5 etc. Comments like yours are as ignorant as saying "all Nintendo makes is platformer after platformer after platformer"

"You can whine about this all you want, but that isn't changing until the sales figures show otherwise."
Compare NSMB Wi's sales to NSMBU's. MK Wii to MK8.

"Just like Sony isn't bashful about releasing yet another mature shooter/adventure game for their userbase to go crazy over,"
The Last Guardian? Tearaway Unfolded? Dreams? Are any of those mature shooter/adventure games?

P.S. Crash is with Activision. Do you honestly expect that company to sell it off? It's like saying MS is gonna give Rare's IPs back to Nintendo.
