Milton_Burle commented on Feature: Assessing Affordable Space Adventures...:

Loved every minute of the main game - my favourite digital title since "And Yet It Moves" - and now working through the additional content. The new levels are very hard. Is it worth replaying the remastered main game if you've already finished it?

Milton_Burle commented on PES 2014 Will Not Be Dispensed On Wii U:

@TTGlider I'm still playing PES 2013 today, it's the best football/soccer game I've ever played (and I've played them all). A Wii U version could attain perfection with touch-screen tactics, share-able replays on Miiverse, updatable (DLC) team rosters and a deeper, statistic-filled Master League. I can only dream...

Milton_Burle commented on Soapbox: Even With The Arrival Of PS4 And Xbox...:

@Peach64 "That's like saying movies won't move forward creatively unless we change the way we control our DVD players."
It's not though, is it? Movies are passive, the DVD remote is irrelevant to the experience. You wouldn't be making such a laboured analogy if Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft/whoever had just sold you a holodeck.

Milton_Burle commented on Review: Super Mario Bros. (Wii U eShop / NES):

Super Mario Bros has appeared on:

  • NES (original version)
  • SNES (Super Mario All Stars)
  • Gameboy Color ("Deluxe" version)
  • GBA (Classic NES Series)
  • Wii (Virtual Console)
  • Wii (as part of Super Mario All Stars Limited Edition)
  • 3DS (Virtual Console)
  • Wii U (Virtual Console)

Have I missed any? How many times will this game be re-packaged/release?

Milton_Burle commented on PES 2014 Will Not Be Dispensed On Wii U:

NOT FAIR! No-one bought PES 2013 because it was IDENTICAL to PES 2012 and 2010. The Wii U is perfect for PES, I want bigger new Master League with tactics on the controller screen. We don't get this but you can be sure there will be plenty of sh*tty "Petz" games and useless movie tie ins coming. SUCKS.

Milton_Burle commented on Tank! Tank! Tank! Available Now in European Wi...:

I'm loving this. Wasn't going to buy the game but thought I'd try since it was a free demo. And it's great fun, especially the vs mode. Can't decide now whether to buy the game retail (it's £22 on Amazon) or pay to download other bits and bobs.

Milton_Burle commented on Review: Zen Pinball 2 (Wii U eShop):

I hit the same problem as many others - bought a table without the demo, got confused, had to Google it. Still, I've been playing "Epic Quest" all afternoon and it's great. My first foray into Zen Pinball. I'll try some of the Marvel tables next.

Milton_Burle commented on Wii U Version Of Need For Speed: Most Wanted W...:

I want this. The one disappointing thing about Wii was its lack of decent (non-Kart) driving games. And I'm glad Criterion are involved. The Burnout series for me reached a peak at Burnout 2 but the later games were one of only things to (almost) tempt me to a non-Nintendo console. I'd love to see a new Burnout as well.

Milton_Burle commented on Wii U Games Struggling At Retail In The UK:

Everyone says price is the problem and I agree to an extent, but that doesn't seem to put people in the UK off shelling out for yet another variant of a glowing Apple tablet. Most people I talk to haven't heard of a Wii U or don't understand what it is. I think word of mouth is a big thing for Nintendo consoles. With the Wii I'd show people Wii Sports and they'd instantly want one. Wii U is a more subtle, slow-burning experience, harder to sell. But I hope sales pick up.

Milton_Burle commented on Developer Interview: Broken Rules on the First...:

I downloaded this today and it's well worth the reduced price. I'll be revisiting the single-player mode to try and get 3 stars for each course. I'd have loved some marathon single-player levels, not just lap-based ones. But what with this and the excellent "And Yet It Moves", Broken Rules are fast becoming my favourite indie developer.
