Aw man, you guys get Metal Slug 3. You know how long I've been waiting for that? I hope we get it soon. And yes I have the collection, but I want Metal Slug 3 anyways. It's just that good a game.

@Betagam7 I played it in 50 hz just for fun once. It plays just fine. Borders were a bit annoying, but I got used to them in, like, a minute. It's really not that bad in this case. This is coming from somebody who has never had to put up with that stuff before.

Mickeymac commented on Retailers Call for Summer Blockbusters:

Lack of games? I got 4 games I want coming out this summer, and only 2 in the fall (early fall I might add). Sure they're not Triple A games from the biggest money grubbers around, but that's the point. These so-called droughts are so the smaller companies can have a fighting chance. If you want new games, expand your horizons. The games you want are there, you just don't know it yet.

Mickeymac commented on Peter Molyneux Wants More From 'Lacklustre Wii U':

@ChocoGoldfish Hyping up his own games and making empty promises are the bigger problem than his stance on the industry. He can be "outspoken" all he wants, but no one's gonna take him seriously until he starts delivering. Mayhaps he should spend a little less time talking and more time trying to make his big ideas work, no?

Mickeymac commented on Peter Molyneux Wants More From 'Lacklustre Wii U':

Provacative title and my own dislike for the man aside, reading the actual quote provided, he's actually not saying much bad. In fact, he's saying what we've been saying for a long time: That the Wii U's gonna need a stellar first party line-up.

Mickeymac commented on Review: Sonic Labyrinth (3DS eShop / Game Gear):

@Samholy "I had one as a kid"

I had a Gameboy as a kid. Guess what I played? Pokemon and crumby licensed games. Am I gonna say the Gameboy had nothing good besides pokemon because that's all I experienced, though, in light of the dozens of good games on the system? No. I know better than that.

Look, I've played dozens of Game Gear games, probably some you haven't even heard of. I know there are still good ones out there, heck, we still got some that were recently rated that we still need to get. You didn't have the internet when you were a kid. You didn't know what was good back then. And I'm sure you didn't have the whole library of games at your disposal at that rental store. Rather than remain ignorant, how about you educate yourself instead?

For some reason I forgot it was more linear than Monster World. Anyways, very good review, hit all the main points. Only thing I don't agree with is that it's easy, but then again, I don't think I ever used the genie and always saved my potions for the boss, so I guess I made it harder for myself. For me, it's one of the best on the system, an absolute joy to play from start to finish. I look forward to playing it again on VC.

Want so bad. The cast list just keeps getting better, and the moves more impressive. I'd expect nothing less from Banpresto.

@zenarium You've said the same thing for the past 3 articles about this. Is that really all you're ever gonna say on the topic?

Mickeymac commented on Feature: Staff Memories of the Wii Launch:

@Burning_Spear It's not that they didn't have imagination - they honestly didn't know how to properly use the Wii remote, and by the time enough of them got the hang of it, too many gamers had moved on that it was no longer profitable to make big games on the Wii anymore.

Mickeymac commented on Feature: Staff Memories of the Wii Launch:

I remember getting Nintendo Power around that time. I remember it, because nearly every Launch game except Wii Sports turned out to be utter crap. I was never more disappointed in my life. I still had hope, though. Metroid Prime 3 was still on the horizon, after all.
