Big=Sexy: I'm sorry to say that Technos went out of business back in 1995. Luckily, former employes of Technos formed another company, Million Corp, and purchased the former intellectual properties of their old one, so they pretty much own the rights. These days they mostly make hand held games, including Double Dragon Advance and River City Ransom EX on the GBA.

I used to play this game with my brothers and cousin way back in my childhood. Simplicity is simplicity at it's finest and that makes it awesome! I wonder if Bubble Bobble 2 will ever see the light of day on the VC. Not too many people got to play it since it came out late during the NES's lifespan. If I were you, I would get BOTH!

cartoonking: Do you have the TurboCD or SegaCD version? Because one of the main different's between the two is how the music were recorded. This version used heavy metal while the SegaCD port used hard rock that also utilized the keyboard a bit more to give the music more of a fantasy feel to the game.

Anyway, after reading through many positive reviews, I pretty much knew exactly what I was getting into when I downloaded Lords of Thunder. I've been playing for the past six days and it's has been an amazing experince so far. I like shop system, I like the ability to switch between different elemental armors before starting a level, and I love the fact that you have a health bar.

As for the rest, just sit back, enjoy the music, and try not to die!

I've spend a good two hours on Dungeon Explorer along with my brother and a couple of buddies. Since it played pretty much like Gaunlet, I was able to get into it rather quickly. I guess my only complant is that like Gauntlet, single player is far too difficult. Unless you have a GROUP OF FRIENDS, you're not going to have fun with this game. Otherwise, download it!

Before we jump onto our "WAH ITS NOT DA GAME I WANT NOE GOOD GAMEZ THEY SUCK CUZ I NEVA HERD OF DEM BFORE!" band wagon...

From what I've been I able to read and watch (Yes, I do ACTUAL research) Cybernator seems like the best choice out of the three. Alien Storm might be good for some people while Monster Lair should be kept away from (And it's not because it's a T-16/CD game, it's just nothing special)

I might be one of the few people who played Double Dribble back then and enjoyed it. It's no NBA Jam, but it when you have a second player, the game is not too bad.

But yeah, not a great week.

And the Dreamcast? As much as I love that console, that's highly unlikely.

That's exactly what I felt when I played it. Splatter House, an arcade port, is a game with a mix bag of good and bad qualities. It's not great, but it's not entirely crappy either. The second has similar gameplaying mechanics while the third game is a sidscolling beat em' up.

When it was first annonced that the TG-16 was going to be on their VC service back in 2006, I did as much research as humanly possible because I had to know what it was. Since the console never caught on in the US, so I completely missed out on it (I had a NES and a SNES while one of my friends had a Genesis). Since then, I've mostly been downloading TG-16 games on my Wii and I love em as much as any other 8-16 bit game! Just something is unheard of in one country doesn't mean it sucks.

We already know how awesome the NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, and Neo Geo games are. Check out the power! Turbo power!

MaxK commented on TMNT increases in price for Europe:

I admit, I did have a little fun with the first TMNT game. The music is pretty rockin' despite the lack of the theme song, and I did like the bird's eye view portions of it. The melee attacks are responsive enough, but the jumping mechanics made the game hard and the second level is just too unforgiving.

MaxK commented on TMNT increases in price for Europe:

It's no big deal. The later NES titles (I own a copy of TMNT III) and Turtles in Time are much better anyway and the one they made on the Genisis is supposed to be decent as well. Too bad we have to wait.

MaxK commented on US VC Releases - 20th August - Super Metroid:

Finally! I've been getting really annoyed with gaming message boards complaining about "no good games" being on the VC. This week will certainly shut them up.

Get these games! They are all worth the downloads.

It looks and plays pretty darn well. It's easy for anyone to discard this game as Zelda clone, but I say it's worth the download!

It's hard to believe that one of the best vertical ship shooters is on such a underrated console. Sure, it's "just another shooter," but it plays great! Everything from the gameplay to the sound, the music, the power ups, the enemies, the boss battles and difficulty settings, it's a special gem that shouldn't be missed. Ever!
