Mattiator commented on Best Buy Employee On A Mission To Save R.O.B.:

I fully understand Best Buy's position on this. A customer who brings in something, anything, to be recycled, expects it to be destroyed and made into something new in a manner that would not jeprodize their personal information on, say, a laptop. While this is a bit different (since I highly doubt an R.O.B would have your visa number), no doubt it's company policy to protect consumers.

Mattiator commented on Real Heroes: Firefighter Sequel In Development...:

Uh, actually, the Wii version was rather fun. It had issues, yes, but it was a unique experience. The 3DS version was garbage, mind you. Currently they're trying to get a re-release of the Wii game onto Steam via Greenlight, with funds from that game possibly going to fund this sequel (which they REALLY have wanted to do for quite a while, heck, they've mentioned it as a possibility during the greenlight campaign).

Goddammit, this makes... the third time I'll be picking up this game? Grabbed the Augmented Edition for the 360, the PC version along with the first two Deus Ex titles for cheap, and later the Missing Link DLC. Square Enix, please stop. My wallet can't take it.

Mattiator commented on Chances Of Strike Suit Zero Wii U Port Jettiso...:

Man, this really would be a great addition to Wii U. I already own it on PC, and while it certainly has a few issues (poor AI and lame voice acting), it's definitely exhilarating once it finds it's stride. Dive-bombing a cruiser lobbing rockets, switching out into Strike Mode (the 'mech' you see in the video) and strafing along it's broadside clearing off turrets, then finally flicking back into Pursuit Mode to make a rapid escape is unforgettable.

Just a reminder/confirmation that the update to Ice Climber adds multiplayer via download play, so you can play with friends with only one copy of the game. Hopefully this means we'll be seeing the addition of two-player for Balloon Fight, as well as the Game Boy VC titles (Like Fortified Zone and Radar Mission).

Mattiator commented on Project X Zone Fighting To a Worldwide Release...:

Oh my god. After Capcom confirmed that they weren't localizing E.X. Troopers I was concerned this one also wouldn't make it over. Unfortunately, depsite how excited I am for this game, I don't have the money for it so I'll probably save what I have for Bravely Default and Professor Layton Vs. Ace Attorney.

Liberation Maiden for me! Just roared through it, and I was not at all dissapointed. Except maybe the fact that it ended at the worst possible point. Oh well, I'm sure I'm going to be getting way more than my $8 worth out of it given how immensely replayable it's proven itself so far. Hokkaido, prepare for purification!

Mattiator commented on Game Boy Advance Games Pop Up On Nintendo Euro...:

Just give me Riviera: The Promised Land and Yggdra Union: We'll Never Fight Alone (especially YU since my cart's finally starting to kick the bucket. Played the hell out of that one). There's a few other lesser-known titles I'd enjoy seeing, like Dark Arena and Megaman & Bass.

Mattiator commented on Round Up: Wii U Launch Window Games:

@Chrno-x Unfortunately, it's not the high-speed future racing game we'd all like, instead it's a probably lousy take on the TV show 'Wipeout' where people get balls thrown at them. Trust me, I'd like nothing more than to have Wip3ouT on Wii U, but there's pretty much no hope of that.

Mattiator commented on Rhythm Thief Joins Layton in Jump to iOS:

I'm sorry, when my current time sink is a port of an iOS game to PC, I think I can safely say that real gaming exists on iOS. The game is a spiritual successor to Freelancer, essentially a starfighter simulator. Already sank over 20 hours into the iOS version, and sunk another 12 hours into the full HD PC version a few days after I got it. Galaxy on Fire 2 consumes my life.

Mattiator commented on Review: Mad Dog McCree (3DS eShop):

I'd pick up the Gunslinger Pack on Wii instead of this one. Mad Dog McCree as well as it's two sequels, and spot-on reproduction of light-gun gameplay. Say what you will about Laserdisc/Interactive Movies, but they have a very special role in the development of gaming as we know it today.

Mattiator commented on Nintendo Reveals New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS:

You know what I'D love to see? Some of the creative power ups and mechanics from the 3D games (64/Sunshine/Galaxy) brought into the 2D plane! FLUDD with swappable nozzles? The ice flower? The metal box? Make the game EARN that 'new' moniker by blending classic stuff with more recent techniques!

Mattiator commented on Feature: Bargain Bin DS Games:

Here in Canada, I found like 6 used copies of Tom Clancy's EndWar on the DS going for $2 at an EBGames. It's a generic strategy game, but it's functional enough, and for two dollars it's definitely worth a purchase.

Mattiator commented on Australia Rates Pokémon + Nobunaga's Ambition:

Has Australia even seen ANY Nobunaga's Ambition games released? Pokemon Conquest is more generic-sounding, to be sure, but I dunno. Seems like a gamble they're taking. Mark my words, Pokemon will be in much bigger type than Nobunaga's Ambition.
