"The checkpoint system should have been turned off by default, with an option somewhere to turn it on."

To be honest I don't see how this is an issue at all. Renegade Kid was broadening its audience by allowing checkpoints, and placating hardcore fans at the same time.

I enjoyed the game. Is it worth a double or triple dip? It depends on how much you like Mudds. But I thought the game looked great on my TV, and it's the definitive version of the already solid foundation of the original.

Magnalon commented on Talking Point: Nintendo Should Step Up for the...:

The 3DS eShop is probably my favorite marketplace ever. I have around 100 digital games and growing — I love that I can just put in a 32 GB card without having to worry about proprietary nonsense like the Vita. I'm really surprised Nintendo went all in with NEW IPs like Pushmo, Dillon's, and Sakura Samurai — really nice work.

The Wii U eShop — it needs work. The VC should have launched with a bang, and not a whimper. Nintendo really needs to step it up and start doing more "franchise sales" like Mario and Kirby to entice people to fill their VC library up (or back up from the Wii).

Magnalon commented on Iwata: Nintendo Open To "Free-To-Play" Gaming ...:

I have no idea why you guys are so afraid. If there's anyone I trust to do free-to-play right, it's Nintendo. They won't sacrifice quality.

If Halfbrick can do it with Jetpack Joyride, and RocketCat can do it with Punch Quest, Nintendo can handle it.

@3Dash

I don't see the harm in it. You know how Tekken Tag Tournament: Wii U Edition has Nintendo costumes?

A Link outfit character skin would be a neat idea to add a little extra value to Darksiders II: Wii U Edition. It's just a little extra that requires very little work on THQ's part.

@GrandChaseLover

I said "basically" couldn't play - yea it will suck :D

I just wouldn't call Kid Icarus "true" Circle Pad Pro support. Right handed gamers may get the add-on thinking they can use it for Kid Icarus, then find out they actually can't.

IIRC Kid Icarus will not truly use the Circle Pad Pro - only left handed users will get to use it, because otherwise they basically couldn't play the game.

Magnalon commented on Aonuma: "Future Zelda Games Will Use Motion Co...:

Motion controls for combat? Great!

Motion controls for bird flight that constantly deadzone, needless waggle for shimmying on ledges/grass, and odd bomb throw/roll motion controls? Not so great!

What I don't get is a lot of the game's controls that could be motion based are button based, and a lot of controls that could be button based are motion based (ie not having to use the "real" archery method with the nunchuk, and just pressing "A" to shoot instead). It's like the designers couldn't decide on what the game should be outside of sword play, and the result is more than jarring.

I hope they get it right next time if they're really intent on using motion controls.
