Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Excitebots Crashes Out At Retail:
I don't think Wii owners are stupid. The typical wii owner owns: Wii Sports, Mario Kart, Wii Fit, Super Mario Galaxy and Zelda Twillight Princess. These are some of the greatest and most innovative video games ever made.
When all is said and done Excitebots is basically a bit gay... But its still better than any motostorm game

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Excitebots Crashes Out At Retail:
To be honest the name Excitebots sounds a bit crap and it does look quite generic. Also a lot of the reviews stated that much of the tracks were simply ripped from Excitetruck. So why buy the game if it seems that it is just a jazzed up excite truck? Thats how i feel about it anyway.
Excitetruck was lots of fun for a few sessions but lacked longevity and I get the impression it would be the same for Excitebots.
I do want another racer for my Wii other than my much beloved Mario Kart, but what i I really want is a more serious racing sim, not Excitebots. That is how Nintendo would get top dollar out of me, a racing sim to complement my excellant kart game.
EDIT: A new F - Zero would be nice too

It's not a crappy update. I'm waiting for the review for Swords and Soldiers, I'm pretty sure it's going to be positive, then I'll download it asap.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Top 20 WiiWare Games in USA (13th May):
I also don't get My Aquarium either, but I kind of want to burn 500 points on it just to find out what the big attraction is. I was also checking out the vgchartz website, which lists the sales figures for wiiware and found out that dr. Mario was the biggest money maker, so I'm not suprised that it continues to enjoy success.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Happy Birthday WiiWare Service:
I do slightly miss the focus on the Virtual Console and Wiiware on their own distinct sites as sometimes I like to get hyped about one or the other and ignore everything else. But other than that NintendoLife is perfect for me and I particulary appreciate the clean cut design that you carried over from before. Happy Birthday WiiWare World and long live NintendoLife

@Calcuron. You forgot Adventure Island, which is the platformer I enjoyed most of Wiiware.

@prosody, what are the other tremendous platformers on wiiware?

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Review: Rainbow Islands: Towering Adventure! (...:
Having never played the original this sounds like pretty good fun to me. 800 points isn't going to break the bank so I think I'll give it a try.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Review: Rainbow Islands: Towering Adventure! (...:
I still don't know whether to get this or not. I wish Drake had of done the review, I find his reviews more informative. I guess I'm gonna wait for some gamer's comments.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Zelda: Spirit Tracks To Appeal To a Wider Age ...:
Yes, difficulty is subjective and depends on how much you like the game. For example my girlfriend can finish Dr Mario on the hardest settings (till level 20), where as I can't and really I can't be bothered too. Whereas it was a breeze for me to collect 120 on Mario Glaxay and she struggles to collect 5. It really depends on how the game motivates you.
Phantom Hourglass didn't motivate me to play until too completion even though I new it wouldn't have to been to difficult to manage it, which is wh I'm not holding out much hope for Spirit Tracks.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Zelda: Spirit Tracks To Appeal To a Wider Age ...:
@i8cookie. One of the mods changed my username. I don't get it either, I'm always whinging on this site, maybe it is meant to be ironic
Regarding 'Zelda', That word doesn't gaurantee quality to me anymore. Although I would love to see a new NON-TOON game I think they should leave the franchise alone for a while and as I say - concentrate on something fresh.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Zelda: Spirit Tracks To Appeal To a Wider Age ...:
It's time for Nintendo to stop cashing in on it's former fan favourites and make something fresh for the real gamers out there. Phantom Hourglass wasn't anything special and nor will this be. I'll pass.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Review: Adventure Island: The Beginning (WiiWare):
Sorry I think i was smoking something when i wrote my last comment. It's a good game, try not to be put off by the presentation. The gameplay is fun and thats the main thing. Also I doubt most gamers would find it as easy as the reviewer did so i would ignore that part of the review if i were you.

This game is wicked awesome, it really cheered me up cos the weather where i am is awful. Sir Francis has major skills on this game, if you want proof check out the leaderboards, what a geek;-). Thats why he only gave it 7/10 ha ha

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Review: Adventure Island: The Beginning (WiiWare):
Great Review! I think for 1000 points it sounds like a really solid game. I'm sure I'll get some good value out of it and I would love to see more platformers on WiiWare so I'm gonna support this. Wiiware shouldn't just be for wacky new ideas, I'm glad Hudson are bringing us more traditional games like this for the service.

Thtas a shame. I really want a definitive FPS experience with online for Wii. I've held back on COD and MOD for the Conduit. And have even bought Wii Speak partly in anticipation for this one.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on StarFox Developer Not Interested in Wii Sequel:
What I don't understand is why Starfox was given a complete makeover for Starfox Adventures and then totally forgotten about afterwards, like it never existed. I mean I thought that staff kicked ass so why couldn't he keep it? In Super Smash Bros. Brawl he has some almost defective laser gun that hardly does anything. I think his character has been messed up.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on StarFox Developer Not Interested in Wii Sequel:
Starfox command is no good anyway, so this guy is nothing special. Lylat Wars is the best starfox game, but Starfox Adventures was alright as well.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Review: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64):
I agree that Phantom Hourglass was a major dissapointment and I was really gutted when they announced Spirit Tracks! I was hoping that the Zelda team were working on a sequel to Twillight Princess not more toon Link. To be honest, I really don't see why people like the toon style...
#26
Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Review: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64):
I don't think Ocarina or Majoras Mask are the pinnacle of the series, in my eyes Twilight Princess is the pinnacle of the Zelda series and the greatest game ever made, even though Ocarina was more revolutionary for it's time.
I skipped Majoras Mask first time round cos I couldn't get used to the time constraints. For me Zelda is all about living and breathing the experience; allowing yourself the space and time to stop to smell the flowers.
Having said that, based on this review I might give it another try, maybe I was to quick to judge before.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!:
Ok, because I imagined that final scores would be run past the 'lords that be' before being posted. That would rule out the possibility of us fans being misled by extreme opinions and so on.
Also is there a way of checking latest comments for all games? Because I really liked this tool on WWW and VCR

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!:
@Nanaki. So the score only represents the personal opinion of the reviewer, it does not reflect a consensus opinion of all you guys? Is this true for all reviews?
#30
Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!:
I've just been checking out your Wii games section and no offence guys but I don't think you've rated the games too well. I mean 9 out of 10 for games like Mercury Meltdown and Trauma Centre. I think most people would agree these games are no better than above average.
I don't plan to rely on your Wii game reviews as I do for your WiiWare reviews.

This game would be great if it wasn't for all the text. Seriously, how awesome would Fire Emblem be if the story was told through animations?

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Review: Battalion Wars 2 (Wii):
I don't understand why this game hasn't done better. I really enjoyed it and managed to complete it 100%, which is rare for me.
It has a nice story and plenty of variety. Of course I realise that if you compare it to similar games on other platforms it seems a bit kiddish. But its also very accessible and friendly and I would of thought that its a great entry point to the genre as well as being outstanding on Wii.
I've seen it going for half price in some shops and as a budget game its definately worth picking up.

This game has been criminally underrated. I don't care how similar it is to the previous entries in the series. Animal Crossing on Wii is awesome.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!:
Thats a good point actually. WiiWare World and Corbie got plugged in the Official Nintendo Magazine by 2d Boy. And now people won't even be able to find WiiWare World cos it doesn't exist anymore.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!:
As far as I know, this all started from VC-reviews; a place where you could find out what games were good on the Virtual Console and which were best avoided, wriiten by independent gamers.
Now it has come to this. And I'm sad

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Welcome to the New Look Nintendo Life!:
It all looks too generic for my liking and for that reason alone I think you'll turn off future internet surfers. To be honest I'd might as well just go to ign or one of the countless others now. You've lost the simple charm that you had before.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Review: The Tower of Druaga (Arcade):
No thanks. Thats 4 and 0 for me out of the initial arcade releases. However, I think there is great potential for this department of the VC and I'm glad that the VC as a whole isn't being overlooked by Nintendo.

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Bubble Bobble Plus!:
I was saving 800 points for this but couldn't wait any longer and got Super Punch Out today. Anyway this and Adventure Island are still my most anticipated WiiWare titles. So hurry up and get them out NoE!...Please
BTW does anyone know why this is published by Square Enix and not Taito?

I don't like this game. IMO Ocarina of Time completely blows this out of the water and Twillight Princess is a bigger and better version of OOT. I don't like This, Windwaker or Phantom Hourglass. They suck! OOT and TP Rule!

Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Review: F-Zero (SNES):
Thanks Shinnock. I just can't understand why its 9/10 when it's a racing game with no multiplayer and appears to be superseded by F Zero X in every way. At the time I might of been impressed by the 'mode 7' graphics, but now I don't think thats relevant.
#50
Luigi_La_Bouncy commented on Review: F-Zero (SNES):
Why does this game get 9/10, the same score as F-Zero X, when everybody seems to agree that F-Zero X is better? Which game is better F-Zero or F-Zero X? Surely it is possible to split them, especially now you're scoring games out of ten.
