The game i'm most interested in out of all of these is Aliens Colonial Marines, but at least we know now that nintendo has the ability to reclaim the hardcore gaming crowd with this new console.
Wow, this is like a perfect mix between super mario 64 and super mario galaxy, with a bit of classic SMB3 thrown in there as well. In other words, it looks amazing
Look, of course violent video games can have an effect on kids, but no more of an effect than violent movies, books or any other media that portrays violence can. People need to stop being lazy and blame video games for society's problems, instead they should actually take proper action to deal with the issue itself. It's like the same thing happens every time some new medium becomes popular with the current generations youth, older people don't necessarily understand it so they try to create something negative out of it. Video games are just the scapegoat of today's day and age. And just because this guy has a PhD doesn't mean that he can't be wrong on the subject matter he's supposedly researched.
For now Retro is almost like the new Rare, and by that i mean the Rare of old that gave birth to such awesome games like Goldeneye and Banjo Kazooie. They really are a talented developer and i can't wait to see what their next project is going to be.
I hope they either a) Make a new F-zero or Starfox for project cafe or b) Make an entirely new IP of their own.
Like others have said before, there needs to be a balance between games distributed on physical media and games distributed as digital media.
Certainly particular types of games are better suited to one form or the other, and obviously big-budget massive full length titles shouldn't be only available as a download, and small half an hour indie games shouldn't be given a full retail release.
But even if physical retail games die one day in the future, a digital download will never compare to being able to hold your favourite game in your hands; case, boxart, instruction booklet and all.
