Link-Hero commented on Ninterview: The History of Gaming, In Oil Paint:

All of these look great! Thought the NES Zapper was a photograph for a second.

Even though some of them are a little step in price (cheapest being $450), I might be interested if he made made a US SNES controller or console painting.

Link-Hero commented on Hyperkin's GameCube-Inspired ProCube Pad is No...:

Oh look. Using the worst aspects of the Gamecube and Wii U Pro Controller. Octagonal borders for the control sticks, nubby C-stick, and digital shoulder buttons. It also looks like they are using the same mushy D-pad from the Gamecube controller.

Link-Hero commented on Xenoblade Chronicles X Will Use Downloadable D...:

Doesn't matter to me. Going to download the game through the eShop.

This just proves that disk media is an outdated format and it can't catch up to hardware improvements anymore. Downloading games is the future.

No, the reason for data packs is because disk readers can't read fast enough to lower loading times with all this new more powerful hardware. Having it downloaded from the eShop, it doesn't need data packs since the game is in one big file and does not have to read through a physical disk to load the data it needs to work properly.

So if you want the game to work at its optimal, just play the eShop version.

Link-Hero commented on The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Developers Talk ...:

I've heard that this game had trouble running on the Vita. It's a 2D game with not to much going on the screen. Both the original 3DS and Vita has run large hardware intensive 3D games before without any problems.

It seems like to me these guys are not the best programers and don't know how to optimize their own game.

While I like that they make these weapons and/or shields by the request of their viewers and they are not obligated to even do this, I was always bothered by the end result. Most of the weapons and/or shields they make always have these cheap and overly smooth looking metal, lack of fine detail work, and a poor paint job.

You will never see this kind of work in a decent budgeted film. It's obvious that they are paid to make the weapons and/or shields to look and perform as good as possible. Their YouTube channel is only a small source of their income and treat it as a thing to do in between their more "important" projects.

Link-Hero commented on Video: Does Super Mario Galaxy 2 On Wii U Offe...:

I had the feeling it was just going to basically be a shortcut straight to a digital version of a game. I don't mind it since I'm glad I can play Wii games digitally now. Also glad that older saves work with the digital versions.

Once they re-release all of the games I own physically on disc onto the EShop, I can finally sell them and free up shelf space. Might get decent money on my original tin case version of Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Will also easily be able to buy back some of the games I sold awhile ago (Wario Land: Shake It amongst a few others) and some of the ones I've been interested in for awhile (Xenoblade and The Last Story).

I thought that even a little break in the packaging would drop the value of the product? Which most collectors do not want and would freak out once they found out the product they bought that supposed to be "completely sealed" has in fact, been opened.

There is absolutely no point in doing this. Might as well open it up completely.

While its weird to see Link talk, overall this is ok so far. Need to see more episodes before making my final opinion. For all we know, it could be like one of those shows with a weak start but it gets good after certain amount of episodes.

As for the mystery item, someone in this thread said it was a key, so i was delighted to find a Hylian Sheild in mine. So I guess the mystery items are random which is neat.

Whelp, that made me lose what little interest I had with these figures. I utterly despise this type of marketing tactic. It's just a scam to make you waste time and money by buying the same thing over and over again hoping you get something different. It's why I don't bother buying stuff like trading cards and other "collectables" like that anymore.

Link-Hero commented on These Awesome Articulated Nintendo Figures Are...:

To be honest, these don't look nearly as good as the Figma and Bandai Tamashii Nations figures. Even though they are more expensive then the Jakks Pacific figures, they seem to have better built quality with more accessories.

Link-Hero commented on Donkey Kong, Pac-Man And Q*Bert Cast Alongside...:

I doubt that Nintendo will let Sony make their IPs look bad (or at least intentionally).

Whenever Nintendo licenses another company with one of their IPs, they always kept a close eye on what they are doing with it. Whatever is in the final product is what Nintendo approved/were fine with.

Nintendo is very protective of their IPs. Heck, Nintendo even told Disney how Bowser is suppose to hold his teacup in Wreck-It Ralph during production they are that protective.

None of you should be worried about the depiction of Nintendo's IPs in this movie.

Though how good this movie is going to be since Adam Sandler is in it... I'm not sure. Lets wait and see.

Link-Hero commented on Hacker Claims to Demonstrate an Exploit to Mod...:

Even though they have good intentions, other people won't have the same mind set. Once they release the Homebrew software (if they ever do), I guarantee you that someone is going to get their hands on the program and modify it to be able to play games with cheats (including online matches) and ways to pirate games.

Same thing happened to the Wii Homebrew Channel. They also had good intentions, but others turned it into what it is today.

I'm sorry, but I don't support this. Hopefully Nintendo can find a way to stop this from ever being released to the public.

Link-Hero commented on LostWinds Now Available For Wii to Wii U Transfer:

I can confirm that this works!!!

I was able to transfer my Lost Winds game and save file from my Wii to Wii U, and it did not overwrite or delete any of my other games or purchase data from the last transfer I did.

You do not have to worry about losing anything.

Warning though. If you have save data, like Super Smash Bros Brawl for example, on Wii and Wii U, the Wii version will overwrite the Wii U version. So if you don't want this to happen, either move the Wii version on another SD card or delete it before you do this. The Transfer Tool will warn you about this.

Link-Hero commented on Weirdness: Amazon Plans Drone Air Delivery Ser...:

While I do see problems like weather conditions, drone/package size/weight limitations, possible chance of drone/package being stolen/targeted, certain places likes city's/apartment complexes can't use this, etc. Though it does seem to be a nice way to get what you need pretty quickly. It looks to be especially great for delivering stuff like emergency supplies.

Also, at least these drones will treat your package better then most delivery companies will ever do.

Unless Nintendo doesn't want this to happen, then what gives us the right to say they can't make a Metroid movie? Because it might suck? So what? People make bad videos about Metroid (or based on any video game for that matter) all the time. Unless it's like those legendarily bad/its so bad its good kind of films, most people will probably forget about this movie. I mean, does anyone remember that Sonic movie with Jaleel White in it that came out awhile ago?

If they want to make a movie and not make a profit from it, then let them.

Link-Hero commented on Interview: Zelda Producer Eiji Aonuma Talks DL...:

So Wind Waker HD is just getting the same treatment as Ocarina of Time 3d. Just upgrading the graphics, changing the controls, and improving the inventory interface? If that truely is the case, then I'm not getting it.

I've already played the original Gamecube version multiple times, so what's the point in buying a slightly upgraded version if they are not going to add anything new?

Link-Hero commented on New Mewtwo Form Revealed For Pokémon X & Y:

Guys, did you forget that Mewtwo is a failed clone of Mew, not it's actual 2nd evolution form? No, I'm not talking about the movie. In the games, there are hints in journals you can find in a building I can't remember where exactly pointing to this (same place where you can find the Master Ball I think). That Pokémon in the video could be Mew's true 2nd evolution form.
