I read an article in last month's NGamer magazine saying that Nintendo intend(o) to give the Wii a much longer lifespan than those of previous console "generations". If this is true, then I guess holding back on VC games or releasing pretty VC games only a year and a half after the console's release makes sense, from the standpoint of extending the lifespan of the Virtual Console and so also the lifespan of the Wii in general as a result. I know all you geeks and otaku (
) out there think that Nintendo should be giving you what you want when you want it, but it really wouldn't make much sense for them to "blow their load early" and have nothing of interest to offer two or three years down the line.
