Joco84 commented on Review: Mario Tennis Open (3DS):

This was a day one for me, until I started reading reviews.

I've read 5 reviews now and all say the same thing; good but could be a lot better.

I'm disappointed and will probably give it a miss unfortunately.

Back to RE:Revelations and KI:Uprising I go! :)

Joco84 commented on Iwata Defends Identical Digital and Retail Prices:

I will not make a download purchase of a retail game, unless the price is at least 80% cheaper.
I'm all for getting a bargain, but I also like physical copies of games. If I'm not getting the incentive to change to download, they can kiss my rear!

Joco84 commented on The U.S. Sales Results are in for Nintendo:

I cannot get used to any of the control schemes in Kid Icarus: Uprising.
I have tried right-handed, left-handed, but still find the whole "move with the stylus" clunky and inaccurate - despite getting to chapter 10.
Once I complete the single player, I cannot see me playing it much more and will look at selling it on.

Saw this on the US Amazon store last month going for around £8, I think I'll wait for it to come down in price before making a purchase.

Joco84 commented on Review: Dillon's Rolling Western (3DSWare):

I'm a bit hesitant due to being left-handed and not enjoying my time with Kid Icarus demo last year.
Might have to unfortunately give this one a miss, unless I play a demo of it first.

Joco84 commented on Nicalis: "The eShop Has Turned Things Around f...:

I believe that Nintendo need to take the eShop further and make it more user friendly.
I know that they like to be different with their stuff, but it needs to be easier to search for new stuff and not confusing sections of games that come under categories such as "games that would be ideal while trapped inside a box".

They need to have simple sections like:

  • New this week
  • Top 5 3DSWare Games Chart
  • Top 5 Virtual Console Games Chart
  • Top 10 Game Boy Games Chart
  • 3DS Demos
  • 3DSWare Games
  • Game Boy Games
  • NES Games
  • etc,etc

I dread each week going onto the eShop. I shouldn't feel that way, but I do unfortunately. They need to be able for people to find what they're looking for quicker - not searching random places for games they might enjoy.
