3D may be the headliner for the 3DS but it isn't the only advancement. HVS could throw it out and give us good graphics with tilt controls. The Wii, and PS Move, offer brilliant FPS experiences through motion control and there's no reason why 3DS couldn't offer the same if developers are prepared to sacrifice 3D.
