My first Gameboy game (with Tetris) on my first Nintendo console and I've been hooked every since. Actually gave this a play through on my Super Gameboy a few weeks ago... love the music and the level designs are still great fun. I remember my older brother had one he told me pressing a,b, start and select would open extra levels... of course it just reset my game... good times.

As much as I'm looking forward to this... It's essentially a reminder of all the games that Rare don't make anymore. The N64 was my first home console and Banjo K/T were a big part of my childhood. That fact that a true Banjo adventure has yet to see the light of day is truly sad... one of the greatest games companies with some truly memorable IP's has just been left to rot for 13 years despite being own by one of the leading names in gaming. During Rare's long Microsoft years, I've never understood why they bought the company if they had no intention of use them to make Rare games??? It's just sad.

InnerSpirit commented on Rumour: Nintendo NX Won't Be As Powerful As Pl...:

Given the time lapse between the PS4 release and NX (whenever it comes) it if doesn't match the PS4 for power... then why bother. The Wii U struggled heavily for third party support. I buy Nintendo for Nintendo games but if they had a better mix of big release I'd happily just buy Nintendo. Nintendo got lucky with the Wii in terms of not competing on power but as the price of making games gets higher Nintendo needs to have a console on par with Xbox and PlayStation so developers can make games without changing/downgrading and cost them more money, especially when they aren't going to sell as much as the other version. The NX would have to be something truly special or the Wii U might be my last punt on a Nintendo home console.

Also... it's still trying to push the Wii U so anyone on the fence about getting one (despite the great games on it) will be unlikely to get one if they know all the bells and whistle of the NX. Why buy a questionable current gen when you already know what's coming... keep it secret and keep the Wii U alive a little longer (just about).

InnerSpirit commented on Exclusive: We Almost Got A Wii U F-Zero Create...:

What's to revive... just a Wii U version is all anyone wants. Funny that they never bother to revive Mario Kart, Mario, Zelda, Smash or any other franchise. As long as it's good quality and fun to play... more of the same is fine. Pretty sure fans only get pissed off when they don't get anything... the amount of time between Star Fox games was insane... how long are we going to wait to see F Zero, A true Metroid game and a Mario game that's in the same league as Galaxy???

Normally I like characters to stay the same out of respect for the characters... but that female link concept artwork looks amazing... I'd play as her. Perhaps the next game should offer the boy/girl choice to keep everyone happy.

If I could find them in the shops... I'd probably buy them all. I've only seen a few amiibo come back in stock on Nintendo UK... 6 months of wave releases and no restocks. It's a joke... stop making new ones until you can meet the demand for the stupid amount that are already out. It's a shame that they don't seem to be learning or care about the fanbase. Nintendo's entire business rests on a loyal fanbase and games aside Nintendo seems to be lagging behind the competition right across the board.

Odd is the right word... as much as I love Nintendo... I just don't understand why is struggles to give fans what they want... Amiibo stock, DS/GBA on 3DS VC, Gamecube games on Wii U VC, User ID's that make it possible to access purchases should the worst happen. Nintendo may be the most unique and creative Video game company out there but it is failing to keep up with the competition where it matters.

Banjo is my all time favourite game, so glad this is being made... just hope it balances new ideas with the ripping off of ideas from the older games... even the background music in the KS video sounded very close to BK style music. Hopefully this kind of hype might end up with Microsoft finally making a true Banjo sequel.

InnerSpirit commented on Lego Dimensions Will Feature Lord Of The Rings...:

This had my interest big time until I saw the price... compared to Infinity and Skylanders... I don't get the justification of charging double just because it's Lego... which I think makes it look cheap and nasty. Add on £30 for the level packs and as much as this probably will be a very enjoyable game... there's no way I'd ever pay that much for this.

InnerSpirit commented on Reaction: LEGO Dimensions Could be a Sales Phe...:

I'd be tempted but this is too expensive for what it is... the starter pack is double what it should be... and the lego figures are just that... lego figures. I know it's meant to be Lego but it just feels keep and nasty to pay so much for so little. At least Amiibo feel like a solid collectable you can display... even the Lego Portal looks tacky. £50 starter pack and £5 a figure is all it's worth.

I had... and still have very little interest in Adult themed games... as a kid I was happy to smash around on Mario Kart and Ocarina of Time... I did however get several games that were rating 15 and 18 such as Perfect Dark and the Turok games... essentially because my parents judge that I knew the difference between really live and gaming ... and despite shooting monsters and people neither game felt inappropriate... I actual found the games themselves were too difficult to play at that age. It should be the parents' call but they should perhaps do a little research it the type of games they let their kids play and if possible play it themselves first.

I'm a traditionalist, for me Link is and always should be a guy character, because that's who he is. If Nintendo want to create a Zelda game with a new female lead or have Zelda as a playable character that would be awesome gender swapping seams a bit disrespectful to the character. Would you ask for Sonic, Mario, Samus, Lara Croft etc to mix it up... no because they're icons of gaming as is the Hero Of Time himself.

Is it still a micro transaction when it cost more than a full retail game to buy in game content?... I'm really surprised that this even exist as a Nintendo game. I guess you don't have to spend any money but those options are far too steep.

I hadn't given the idea of Nintendo themed TV much thought... though as soon as I saw the title of this article I was filled with a longing for a live action F Zero... Need For Speed/Fast and Furious with a futuristic setting... I'm so there.

I've seen a few rare figures recently that haven't interested me, Although it's tempting to buy for resale, I left them on the shelves hopefully for fans or collectors as I'm not liking the stock issues and have no intention of paying over the odds.

How can Nintendo not understand the demand for its products. Surely they must realise that it's the dedicated fan base keeping them going because take Nintendo IP's out of the equation a Nintendo would have died out years ago. I get that they don't want to flood the market, but a Zelda Limited edition of a console upgrade was always going to sell well. I guess if Nintendo don't want my money... nobody's having. Will not fund this kind of gamer exploitation.

Beedrill? Really... surely that one's pretty low on the Mega wishlist. Not a fan of the Megas anyway... Wish they come up with some decent new Pokémon instead of messing around with the evolutions of classic ones. Even though the games get better the actual Pokémon seem to get worse with each generation.

5700 games...you couldn't ever play them all... and probably wouldn't want to. I find it hard to find time keeping up with new release. Even if I had the money, surely its better and a lot cheaper to just buy the games you want from somewhere else.

InnerSpirit commented on Turns Out The GameCube Controller Adapter Won'...:

Not what I was expecting... but then the GC controller is 2 generations old and there should be other options. Why design a game in 2014 that works best (for a lot of players) with a 12 year old controller? Likewise why go to the trouble of allowing the Wii U to use GC controllers and stop short support wise and have it only work with SSB... Surely some assurance of future support or plan to update for VC. I get that this is a good thing for SSB fans with a load of GC controllers but if your not in the group... this is currently a bit of a why bother moment at least for now. That said I'm loving SSB 3DS though controls aren't as good a the GC, but I'll give the Gamepad and Pro controller a go before ruling this as a huge mistake for SSB U fans.
