Well not unfair but the picture this PR is painting is too optimistic, which is that 3DS is doing about twice as good as DS did in its first 12 months, because in 1 month DS will catch up significantly.

While the numbers are incredible, DS has its second holiday spike in a month so it will catch up, so the whole 12 months comparison is abit unfair.

And it was during the 2006 period, around when DS Lite released that DS really took off, it'll be a challenge for Nintendo to keep up with the rate of sales DS had then, we have to wait and see if they can capture the "touch generation" type of appeal DS had with Nintendogs/Brain Age type of software. Some argue that those people have migrated to other platforms today.

My point is that 3DS is on track, but it will be a big challenge to maintain DS levels throughout its lifespan, not a given.

I'm sure 3DS will get GBA games eventually, they are just spacing things out, starting with GB/GBC.

It's not really a bluff though, the point is that the ambassadors will recieve the games for free, and maybe (probably) get timed exclusivity as a bonus!
