Am I the only one jealous that this guy gets to play it so early and yet doesn't seem to appreciate it that much?

I've personally never had a problem with Nook. He's a cuddlebear compared to real life landlords.

Way, way, way too fast for a 3D Mario title. I hope it's not a "New Super Mario Bros 2" style rush job.

Basically here's the divide: Under 25 years old: "I hate this! It's not polished! I want a true 3D world to explore!" Over 25 years old: "I love this! Excited to see this classic game updated! Love the original top-down style!" Of course there are exceptions to both rules, but the consensus of both stands.

The more I hear about this the less I like it.

Also a problem is the fact that a lot of the sales of the Wii were to people age 40 and older because of Wii Sports and Wii Fit. These people are still perfectly content playing the Wii they already have and don't see any reason to upgrade.

Here's the thing about Wii U: The casual gamers who picked up a Wii and loved it all think it's just an HD Wii expansion. It was a mistake to have "Wii" in the title.

I have downloaded a couple retail titles to my 3DS, but there are some games that I prefer to buy the physical copies to (mainly games that I want to keep forever since Nintendo has no username or cloud service to keep my downloads secure in case my 3DS dies).

Kid Icarus was unplayable to me because of those controls. I have big hands because I am an adult male and I felt like I would have had to grow octopus tentacles out of my fingers to effectively navigate that game. As for Other M, I'm a supporter. I actually did like the story a lot because it showed a vulnerable side to Samus, whereas that's why a lot of people disliked it.

Nice line up of complete shovelware for 3DS this week.

It was very fun, but did feel a bit incomplete in some areas.

Animal Crossing followed by Luigi for me. I hope that NoA is using all this delay time for AC to really make the villagers' personalities shine in New Leaf, as opposed to City Folk, where each personality only repeated the same 12 phrases or so over and over.

Save states on the 3DS make it beatable for the first time ever to those who are not of the most absolutely skilled at platformers. I recommend it to any Mario fan.

Love that thing. So convenient. Yeah, it is a little cheaply made, but it's nice to be able to switch your wallpaper out at will.

Nintendo could announce the next Zelda game as DSiWare and I just wouldn't be that excited. The platform is dated and filled to the brim with so much shovelware that I barely even look through the releases anymore.

These are basically commercials for games that have already been announced. It started out as kind of a mini E3 showing kind of thing, but quickly devolved. I'll continue to watch 'em probably, but I won't get my hopes up for anything big anymore.

Capcom has just become *bleepin idiotic. "Oh, this computer only thing will determine the future of a console series that's been around for 20-something years." Gah. Shut them down and give Mega Man back to the guy who created him.

This Animal Crossing bs is really starting to bug me. It's straight up out in Japan and has been for almost a month and yet the rest of the world has to wait till like June or July? Why? Yes, there's text to translate and lots of it, but a team should have been on this months and months ago.

Snore. That weird Tokyo Crash Mob thing kind of looks interesting but the rest of it is meh, especially for 3DS.

Find this game to be kind of overrated. It looks great, but becomes very boring because there's no variation.

Can Nintendo itself make nothing now but a Mario every 15 minutes and a Zelda every 5 years? Why can't they make a new Metroid themselves?

I think Miyamoto may have put the character restrictions on the Sticker Star team because of the lackluster characters that were introduced in Super Paper Mario. Aside from some of the villains and Tipi, I don't recall a single one of them. Still yet though, since Sticker Star has sort of a feel to it that the first game had, it would have been nice to see Parakarry delivering a letter to a toad or to have Tayse T. have a restaurant in Decalburg where a bunch of hungry toads gathered to eat. A few cameos would have been nice, but I really can't complain much since this is the best game to come out for 3DS since I don't remember when.

Yeah, I really don't care about it either. When I play Xbox and Playstation games, I never actually set out to try to get achievements. When one pops up, I'm like "ok, cool" but it's not a big issue for me.

I love how everybody here just blew me out for making a simple observation. I was always under the impression that these games were big since the original included a seperate memory card. One simple "you're incorrect" would have sufficed. Ugh. I so wish there were another nicer Nintendo forum to populate.

I hope someone imports it from Japan and posts some game play videos soon. If I can't play it, I'd at least like to see someone else playing it.

What do you guys think of the Power of Illusion demo? I got it and it seems like the full experience might a fun and possibly very content-heavy game. I still don't really care for the graphics though and I actually DID grow up in the early 90's with the SNES and Genesis Mickey games. If it had come out in this form on maybe the Game Boy Color or Advance, I'd be a little less critical but this the 3DS; they could make it look a little better. The character sprites are, for the most part, kinda hideous.

Contrary to what all the others are saying, I can see this happening if the Wii U is a failure. I feel like they sort of did this with the 3DS since they continue to put out games for the DS and market and promote it.

I do believe these are animated with CGI, but with a Lego motif. Still cool though.

A decent week and always nice to get new 3DS Virtual Console games, but I do have to wonder why some of the more famous NES games, like SMB 2 and 3 haven't been released yet. Gradius is ok and all, but portable versions of those two in their original 8-bit glory would be a gold mine for Nintendo. Seems weird that they're holding them back.

The more we find out about the launch games, the more rushed the Wii U sounds. Glad I won't be picking one up for a while.

The obsession with resolution is really a paradox for me. While I want Nintendo to be competitive this generation with other systems, I personally do not care about how shiny and crisp it looks and I'm sure there are others like me who grew up on NES games that agree.

@Robo-goose The Gamecube version required an entire memory card to play and was packaged with one. AC games have always been pretty big because of all the text and items and holidays.

Uhm, why release something on WiiWare when Wii U is a month away? Or will the Wii U eShop be like the 3DS' and contain both WiiWare and WiiUWare?

If it wasn't confirmed before, it is now: I will be purchasing the PHYSICAL copy of Animal Crossing.

I don't know if I'll be getting anymore of these now that I've gotten to the million coin goal unless there's some new one that is like 8 bit retro or something like that.

@PeterW77 I'm sure you do. I'm talking about having to hang out with these like 12-13 year olds on AC. Makes you think to yourself, "Just exactly HOW did I get into this game again?" lol

@PeterW77 Tell me about it. I'm 30 and it can be kinda frustrating sometimes being an Animal Crossing fan and hanging out with kids talking about One Direction and Justin Beiber. :/
