GazPlant commented on Feature: The Big Nintendo E3 Survey:

I'd put it down as disappointing by Nintendo's own standards, but one that has improved after the event. 3D World is a huge disappointment to me, as is DKCTC over Metroid, but Mario Kart 8 and Smash look ridiculously good. Think this year was all about tempering expectations, Nintendo Direct now does what E3 did

As normal, Pachter hits the nail on the head. While it's not great to hear, Nintendo are in a bit of a mess right now and should have launched a Wii HD in 2010. Although I can't say I agree that they've blown their chance in the console market, they could just abandon Wii U early and sort it out that way

GazPlant commented on Talking Point: Nintendo Should Make EA Co-oper...:

I've always said Nintendo need EA's support, if only for the annual sports games. I for one am a massive fan of FIFA, and getting shafted year on year on Nintendo platforms with mediocre efforts is taking it's toll. It was one of my main reasons for buying another platform last gen. That and Mass Effect. Wii U needs that sort of game.
So for me, Nintendo really need to get EA back on board

It's interesting that everyone (and I mean everyone) I've physically showed the Wii U to has been pleasantly surprised by it and even expressed an interest in buying one. People I talk to about it dismiss it and don't understand it's uses. Marketing needs to step up, Nintendo Land is the perfect advertising tool is used well

Yep, they need to be used more, but only when it's done sensibly. Kid Icarus had a wonderful use of AR Cards, and I'd love to see more. After all, what's the point of having that functionality on the system if no-one will use it?
