@AbeVigoda ROB's don't go for anything near $300 on eBay, unless you're talking about the entire NES Deluxe set, which does go for around that... but from what I've read it seemed like he only wanted to save ROB.

@Chrono_Cross #65 Who said I was "all offended"? The article had misinformation, I was correcting it. "Expressing concerns" implies some degree of constructive criticism. Making blanket statements like "Japanese games are all terrible" tells no one anything about what is supposedly, actually wrong with them.

Phil Fish never expressed his "concerns" with Japanese game development. He said "your games are ... terrible." Kind of big difference there.

@Epicnessofme99 I think I read somewhere that the game is going to be the equivalent of $20 USD. Still pretty reasonable imo when you consider the one for 3DS started at $35-40, and didn't support NFC.

This game seems interesting. How much is it? I can't go on my 3DS at the moment to check and I can't find it in NL's database of eShop games. Edit: Oh... it says on the side panel. Didn't realize this was UK/EU only for now.

AGAIN, no option for a Wii U copy as a reward for backing, even though the Wii U release isn't even a stretch goal for this one. So once again, not backing. :

Unfortunately I don't want to back this unless it is guaranteed to come to the Wii U, but others probably feel the same way and will hold off on funding until then, which could then cause the game to not get the funding needed to make it to the Wii U. : This is the one thing that's bothering me about Kickstarter lately.

@BestBuck123 Well, I got mine for Christmas and didn't spend a dime on it and I'm sure many others are in the same boat, so the "you just don't want to feel burned by a price drop" argument doesn't really fly there. Certainly, the price in the UK seems high from an American perspective, but I just chalked that up to the UK's higher wages and higher cost of living. But I understand I could be completely wrong about that take on it.

I already own 2 of them and plan to buy AA3 soon. Don't need a collection, myself. But the prices of the individual games are quite high for how old they are, so a collection does make sense.

Yeah, he's saying they always want hardware lower priced so more people can afford their games. The Wii U doesn't NEED a price drop now as others have said, it just needs games.

@TrueWiiMaster Chasing Aurora was just overpriced, seeing as there are only 2 game modes, and the gameplay never evolves into anything more complex or engaging. Little Inferno arguably was fairly priced because it at least offered clever writing and themes and a dark atmosphere. Haven't played Runner2.

Also, all you people saying you're going to deliberately buy it used to "make a statement"--YOU ARE NOT HELPING. The suits at Ubisoft will just be validated in their belief that the Wii U version wouldn't sell enough on its own to warrant the exclusivity in the first place.

The game absolutely needs to be on the Wii U if it has those same photography mechanics, though. It would just be divine. And given Ubisoft's apparent good faith in the Wii U (despite the Rayman thing), I think there's a great possibility of that.

@ecco6t9 lol owch, low blow. That whole mess with Aliens wasn't Sega's fault, for the most part. The horribleness of Aliens had nothing to do with Sega's "creativity" factor (or lack thereof). After all, they didn't make the game. It's almost entirely on Gearbox.

Yeah, no one knows better about Nintendo's future as a console manufacturer than a third-party developer who has never (to my knowledge) worked with the company in question.

@Lopezdm What "education" are you basing this guess on, then? I'm "educated" in the fact that people predicted Nintendo would fail with the Gamecube... and the Wii... and the DS... and the 3DS. And I'm also educated of the fact that the first three months of a console's life mean jack about its future. Obviously people aren't going to appreciate wild speculation of Nintendo's supposed, impending doom under the guise of logical thought, on a Nintendo-focused site.

If they stopped making consoles it would be a travesty. And as others have said, if they went out of business you simply wouldn't be able to play their games ANYWHERE because they would cease to exist.

@Highwinter Gears of War is still his IP. He and the other top developers at Epic have done everything they possibly can to make sure long-term Gears of War fans can't play the game the way they like to. But hey, that's a conversation for another time and place.

@Chrno-x Nintendo's sequels and Mario games are no more similar than other studios' sequels; the only difference is they have been around longer than who they tend to be compared to (Sony). In recent years in particular, their games make creative use of the hardware they're on, and the hardware itself pushes new ways to play. The "Nintendo never does anything new" argument is trite and founded in nothing more than the fact that it's now fashionable to hate on Nintendo.

These are the kind of creative possibilities I love about the Wii U. I'm not really a fan of driving games, but I love the thought they've put into this game all the same.

I've seen a lot of people (on this site and others) fixating on the "on all home consoles" bit when I think they should be asking if this leak is even legit. It's actually a strange phrase for them to have picked when normally a company will just list which specific consoles the game will be on. Also, this is Kotaku we're talking about. This is great, and I hope they keep up with putting eShop games on sale. I've got like 6 on my wish list just for the 3DS, and only one of them (Fractured Soul) is in this sale.

I'm completely hooked on this game; so much more fun than Mario Kart, imo. It just has a lot more variety, more of a challenge, more interesting design... and you can tell the love Sega put into commemorating their franchises even if you weren't a "Sega kid" growing up. And this is all saying a lot considering how mediocre the first game was.

Pretty sure I read the 360 and PS3 versions are Japan-only, because as others have said, Nintendo published the game in the West.

@CaPPa I'm in the same boat, I buy everything PG* makes. And with The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 coming to the Wii U, I'm sure there are a lot of other PG* fans in the console's install base.
