Hahaha, implying the Vita rivals the 3DS.

Fillytase commented on Best Buy R.O.B. Saga Reaches a Happy Ending:
@AbeVigoda ROB's don't go for anything near $300 on eBay, unless you're talking about the entire NES Deluxe set, which does go for around that... but from what I've read it seemed like he only wanted to save ROB.
Aside from being a part of video game history, he's my main in Brawl. Love him ^_^

@Chrono_Cross #65 Who said I was "all offended"? The article had misinformation, I was correcting it. "Expressing concerns" implies some degree of constructive criticism. Making blanket statements like "Japanese games are all terrible" tells no one anything about what is supposedly, actually wrong with them.

Fillytase commented on FEZ Creator Insists The Game Wouldn't Work On ...:
Phil Fish never expressed his "concerns" with Japanese game development. He said "your games are ... terrible." Kind of big difference there.

@snoox Not familiar with the Pokemon Rumble games?

Fillytase commented on Pokémon Rumble U Trailer Shows NFC in Action:
@Epicnessofme99 I think I read somewhere that the game is going to be the equivalent of $20 USD. Still pretty reasonable imo when you consider the one for 3DS started at $35-40, and didn't support NFC.
Edit: Oh, this very post says that. But I read it somewhere else too, lol

Fillytase commented on Pokémon Rumble U Trailer Shows NFC in Action:
OMG, this is unbearably cute, and I wanted to start a collection of Pokemon figures anyway. I freaking want the Bulbasaur and Torchic <3 I'm probably definitely thinking of getting this...

This game seems interesting. How much is it? I can't go on my 3DS at the moment to check and I can't find it in NL's database of eShop games. Edit: Oh... it says on the side panel. Didn't realize this was UK/EU only for now.

AGAIN, no option for a Wii U copy as a reward for backing, even though the Wii U release isn't even a stretch goal for this one. So once again, not backing. :

Unfortunately I don't want to back this unless it is guaranteed to come to the Wii U, but others probably feel the same way and will hold off on funding until then, which could then cause the game to not get the funding needed to make it to the Wii U. : This is the one thing that's bothering me about Kickstarter lately.

@BestBuck123 Well, I got mine for Christmas and didn't spend a dime on it and I'm sure many others are in the same boat, so the "you just don't want to feel burned by a price drop" argument doesn't really fly there. Certainly, the price in the UK seems high from an American perspective, but I just chalked that up to the UK's higher wages and higher cost of living. But I understand I could be completely wrong about that take on it.

Fillytase commented on Ace Attorney Collection for 3DS Has Been Propo...:
I already own 2 of them and plan to buy AA3 soon. Don't need a collection, myself. But the prices of the individual games are quite high for how old they are, so a collection does make sense.
#16
Fillytase commented on Ubisoft Is "Optimistic" About Wii U, But Would...:
Yeah, he's saying they always want hardware lower priced so more people can afford their games. The Wii U doesn't NEED a price drop now as others have said, it just needs games.

I fail to see how waking up as your great-great grandfather would be any less "weird" than waking up as your great-great grandmother.
Also not liking the comments saying "female assassins are REALLY effective! They can seduce people!"... or they can use the same tactics male assassins use? Why perpetuate the notion that if women excel at anything, it has to be by using sex?

Fillytase commented on Platinum Games: Ask Capcom if You Want Okami 2:
Echoing the comments of "play Okamiden."
Also, people wonder why new IPs are barely made anymore. It's because all people do now is demand sequels to old games. Not every great game ever made needs a sequel!

Fillytase commented on Rhythm Hunter: HarmoKnight's US Price Is Revealed:
@TrueWiiMaster Chasing Aurora was just overpriced, seeing as there are only 2 game modes, and the gameplay never evolves into anything more complex or engaging. Little Inferno arguably was fairly priced because it at least offered clever writing and themes and a dark atmosphere. Haven't played Runner2.
A for HarmoKnight... it looks WAY too simple for the price they're asking (based on videos I've seen).

That's good for them to keep working on the game as long as they have all that extra time.
Also, all you people saying you're going to deliberately buy it used to "make a statement"--YOU ARE NOT HELPING. The suits at Ubisoft will just be validated in their belief that the Wii U version wouldn't sell enough on its own to warrant the exclusivity in the first place.
#28
Fillytase commented on Ubisoft: Beyond Good & Evil 2 Is On The Way:
"...with Ubisoft stating more news will be with us shortly." Where does Yves suggest that BGE2 news will be here "shortly"? All he said in that quote is the game is still a WIP, and they will talk about it when they have something new to show.
The game absolutely needs to be on the Wii U if it has those same photography mechanics, though. It would just be divine. And given Ubisoft's apparent good faith in the Wii U (despite the Rayman thing), I think there's a great possibility of that.

Fillytase commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:
@ecco6t9 lol owch, low blow. That whole mess with Aliens wasn't Sega's fault, for the most part. The horribleness of Aliens had nothing to do with Sega's "creativity" factor (or lack thereof). After all, they didn't make the game. It's almost entirely on Gearbox.
#31
Fillytase commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:
Yeah, no one knows better about Nintendo's future as a console manufacturer than a third-party developer who has never (to my knowledge) worked with the company in question.
#32
Fillytase commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:
@Lopezdm What "education" are you basing this guess on, then? I'm "educated" in the fact that people predicted Nintendo would fail with the Gamecube... and the Wii... and the DS... and the 3DS. And I'm also educated of the fact that the first three months of a console's life mean jack about its future. Obviously people aren't going to appreciate wild speculation of Nintendo's supposed, impending doom under the guise of logical thought, on a Nintendo-focused site.
#33
Fillytase commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:
@Lopezdm My life is officially ruined.
#34
Fillytase commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:
@Kagamine Because Nintendo is the last console manufacturer that still cares about actually innovating hardware and offering new ways to play instead of making a second-rate PC? If they stopped making consoles it would be a travesty. And as others have said, if they went out of business you simply wouldn't be able to play their games ANYWHERE because they would cease to exist.
#35
Fillytase commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:
@Highwinter Gears of War is still his IP. He and the other top developers at Epic have done everything they possibly can to make sure long-term Gears of War fans can't play the game the way they like to. But hey, that's a conversation for another time and place.
@Lopezdm WOW, you agree with Cliffyb on something? Your credibility just SKYROCKETED.

Virtually no one has mentioned the elephant in the room: THIS COULD EASILY BE FAKE. It was originally posted on NeoGAF. I'm just sayin'.
And even if it's real, there is way too much rage here. I've kind of become a Nintendo fangirl as of late, but even I can see there's no need to get THIS worked up over a silly one-liner ad. Just laugh at the irony/stupidity of it (if it's even a real ad) and move on.

Fillytase commented on Talking Point: The Year of Luigi Could Bring a...:
@Chrno-x Nintendo's sequels and Mario games are no more similar than other studios' sequels; the only difference is they have been around longer than who they tend to be compared to (Sony). In recent years in particular, their games make creative use of the hardware they're on, and the hardware itself pushes new ways to play. The "Nintendo never does anything new" argument is trite and founded in nothing more than the fact that it's now fashionable to hate on Nintendo.

Fillytase commented on Rumour: Ubisoft's Watch Dogs Is Coming To The ...:
I've seen a lot of people (on this site and others) fixating on the "on all home consoles" bit when I think they should be asking if this leak is even legit. It's actually a strange phrase for them to have picked when normally a company will just list which specific consoles the game will be on. Also, this is Kotaku we're talking about. And this wouldn't be the first time a promotional poster turned out to be bogus. Remember this? http://chattypics.com/files/WP_000046_m59ysntp2o.jpg

I'm completely hooked on this game; so much more fun than Mario Kart, imo. It just has a lot more variety, more of a challenge, more interesting design... and you can tell the love Sega put into commemorating their franchises even if you weren't a "Sega kid" growing up. And this is all saying a lot considering how mediocre the first game was.

@Shrapmo Cool, I'll sign it, though a 100 signatures goal isn't very ambitious and probably won't do much to convince Konami.

Fillytase commented on There's Hope For Metal Gear Rising: Revengeanc...:
That's totally me.
Why all the negativity for this idea? Totally understand if you didn't like the demo or what have you. I don't see how them later releasing this for the Wii U would be "too late" for anything. If they announced plans now, I bet plenty of people would hold off for the Gamepad functionality and the promise of having an additional game to play on their new system. For a new system, the Wii U's third-party line up for 2013 isn't terrible, but nonetheless, MGR:R wouldn't have a ton of competition on this system if it came out later this year. I also think there are is a sizable sample of Metal Gear fans who only own Nintendo consoles and would like to see it return.
As for the people who say "I'd prefer Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain" - why not all of the above?
