That's not the point. The point is that you are blowing out $ 40 for a game that comes with an obsolete Wii-Remote.
I would actually happier if didn't come with anything instead of an old Wii-Remote, just in this special case.

Nintendo will do well this Christmas, I'm sure of that. It could possibly be turned down a notch compared to a year or two ago, but it wouldn't be slaughter. They have Wii Party , Kirby's Epic Yarn, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and Disney Epic Mickey to keep the Wii up, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii is still doing good.

You know why I won't buy Wii Party? Mainly because it comes bundled with a normal Wii-Remote.
Releasing a normal Wii-Remote bundle one month before the Wii-Remote Plus is just a joke to me.

Re: Are Sony and Microsoft's Sales Going to Blow Nintendo Away This Xmas?

I have one thing to say: Kirby's Epic Yarn won't be out for Christmas in Europe and Australia.
It gets even worse; Kirby's Epic Yarn comes out at the end of March here. What is this, the 20th century?
Why would Nintendo aim at the Easter(?) market for those regions?
Do they think the market would be flooded with too many high-profile titles if it wasn't around at Christmas?
I wouldn't complain if they'd release it in January or even February.

Nintendo should pay for that. I hope Microsoft and Sony win this year.

Re: Excellent Review of Sonic Colours in N-Gamer

I tend to agree with GT's reviews most of the time, that's why I'm not really sure if it's the game for me.
You guys are free to watch the GT review; I posted the link in my post above.
The 5 hours GT were referring to were just beating the game. I usually complete all my games 100 % so it should take me some more time than that.
By the way, I do think 6.4 is a bit of a harsh score considering what I've heard and seen of the game from other sources.

And why do you believe to game trailers? The game really looks great, the only problem IGN mentioned was the hard difficulty at some levels.

Excuse me? I was merely saying that another source [Gametrailers] didn't give it such a favorable review.
Gametrailers are entitled to their opinion, just as everyone else is. They found the controls to be unresponsive, the story and dialogue to be cheesy and some levels to be unfair and frustrating.
I can't tell if I agree or disagree yet because I haven't played it. I will still wait for some reviews before buying it.
Gametrailers also said that the game lasts for about 5 hours. I don't really know if 5 hours are worth the price.

Even worse, do you like to pay for stuff that's already on the disc (Bioshock 2) /in the file (Megaman 10) but the makers wanna cash in so you have to pay in order to unlock it?
DLC is just a honorless confidence trick. When will you people understand?

When I wanna play a game 10 years from now, am I still going to have the same Wii, the same Xbox Live account or the same Playstation Network account? Are the servers that distribute the DLC still gonna be active so I can actually redownload the DLC I paid for? Are the databases still going to have the entry that says "'X paid for the DLC, therefor X is allowed download the DLC.'"?

When I buy a game, I want to get the full experience.
If they want to charge five more dollars for a few more levels, they should put them on the damn disc and sell the game for five more dollars.

DLC's aren't always just minor additions, they can be major additions to the game that many people will download. DLC should be added because of two reasons:

1. Super Smash Bros. 4 may not receive all the contents we/the developer of said game want to pack inside either due to the constraint that the console might have that could prevent it or not being able to make enough time to include the feature. DLC provides developers the oppertunity to add everything that they want to include in the game to keep interest going as long as possible.

2. Licensing issues that prevented a franchise from joining Super Smash Bros. 4 can potentially be added on later on. So that means that your said most requested character can still have a chance at joining the fray.

Wow, I'm already looking forward to the Super Smash Bros. game that only has Mario and every other character will be obtainable through DLC. (paid DLC, of course)
You don't seem to understand my point. You think it would be okay to go out and sell a disc with nothing on it except for an engine that can download DLC and be modified through the DLC?
The rest of the "game" is gonna be released over the course of a year, and as you could have already guessed, you have to pay for each expansion. The excuse of the developer for this would then of course be: "Sorry, we didn't have enough time to actually make a game due to budget restrictions but we were able to make a fancy DLC updater in the time of the development."

If a developer doesn't have enough time to put in the said content, there are only 3 acceptable options to me:
a) Postpone the release of the game
b) Don't offer the said content at all
c) Release the said content as free DLC (postponing the game to implement the content would be my preferred option though)

The one point you made about the console restrictions didn't make any sense at all. Are you implying that if for example the Wii can't render HD graphics, DLC will magically allow it to do so?

One more thing, I know NintendoLife hates correct spelling, (else they wouldn't delete my posts where I encourage people to spell things properly as a side note) but could you please proofread your posts before posting them? That would spare me a lot of time encrypting them and finding out what you actually want to say.

NINTENDO IS FOR LITTLE CHILDREN
FPS PLAYERS ARE JERKS AND HAVE PREJUDICES AGAINST NINTENDO PLAYERS, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND
WOMEN ARE AWFUL DRIVERS (even though men are more often involved in car accidents than women)
FOREIGNERS BRING NO GOOD

And let's not forget throwing in another random statement that has no relevance to the subject.

GHOST 'N' GOBLINS IS AN AWFUL GAME BECAUSE IT'S TOO HARD
MALE PEOPLE THAT PLAY THE SIMS ARE HOMOSEXUAL
JUSTIN BIEBER MUST DIE

On topic; I've never really been interested in FPSs. To this day, I wasn't able to force myself through more than 2 hours of Metroid Prime Trilogy. (even though I like Metroid a lot (I'm sure that someday I will finish the game))
In contrary, today I got GoldenEye 007 and I've already played it for 3 hours - enjoying it most of the time.

Mine did too, but it happened on single player. I was on the very first part of the dam level, and when I was in the tower getting the sniper rifle, it froze and made this loud noise that didn't stop until I unplugged the system.

I got significant frame-drops in the tower.
One more gripe; The hit detection in the very first tutorial was awful.
You could shoot like 10 centimeters off target and the target would still split.
I don't know yet if this also works like this in the normal game-play, but I'd be very disappointed if it did.

I bought the classic controller bundle.
The golden classic controller turned out not to be as glossy as the other classic controllers. The surface on the back is also more raspy than the normal ones'.
I'm kind of disappointed about the frame-rate drops and some technical decisions, but it's been quite action packed as of now.

I was very disappointed in Super Scribblenauts.
Many levels were just too dull and I often felt "too creative" for the game as there were some levels which broke (literally) when you didn't use the "mainstream solution".
In addition, why would they play the music randomly instead of assigning certain tracks to certain levels?
I also found most of the music to be ruined (the remixed ones).

It's an awesome game, but as a huge fan of the first game I was very let down.

I have to agree with your complaints. The puzzles in this game are seriously lackluster compared to the open-ended, creative puzzles from the first one.

I also felt that the first game had better puzzles(although confusing at times), but I also felt that the action stages (although lacking in numbers) in this game were well crafted and made me think out a plan. There were a good deal of puzzles that can be pretty challenging during challenge mode. As a Scribble-fan, I wasn't one bit disappointed with this game, mainly because while the levels may be on the easy-side, everything that was wrong with the first game has been fixed. Also, Scribblenauts is all about the sandbox.

EDIT: I liked a couple of the new tracks in this game. The random music was a great idea for the title screen (better than hearing that "same song" in the first game), it was odd in the levels. Especially for the level creator, where maybe a certain piece of music would perfectly suit your level.

I'm okay with the sandbox having random music, but with the rest of the game it's just ridiculous.

I forgot to mention, when you looks at Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, the game has what, nearly 50 games? Most are Genesis games ($8 on the Wii) and the game is $30.

$35 for 4 NES games is downright robbery, considering SUGC has extra features as well. Pffft, I'm even more glad I'm not getting this. But to each his own...

It's not 4 NES games, it''s 4 SNES games! the quality is much improved

It's 1 SNES game...

In addition, the package really is a rip-off in my opinion.
People demanded Super Mario All-Stars. Why are you happy with Nintendo releasing it on a disc instead of on Virtual Console, where it's supposed to be?
This is supposed to be the 25th birthday of the greatest gaming character of all time. What we are getting is just weak.
All-Stars is good, but what's the point of playing the games with 16-bit graphics and sound?
It's a completely different experience. I don't wanna relive the experience of Mario's 10th birthday or for whatever All-Stars was intended, I want something untouched and/or (something) new.
You also have to take into account that All-Stars doesn't even include a quarter of the main series' games. In what universe is 1 game going to represent a quarter century of an awesome game series?
With untouched I mean the original games, with original sound and original graphics.
I would have totally bought a package with Super Mario Bros. to Super Mario 64 (including Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island) for € 40; for € 50 if it also included Super Mario Sunshine.

Dear Nintendo, I am disappointed. (this time I'm being serious, not "WHY'S TABUU IN SSBB YOU RUINED MY LIFE NINETEDNO"-like, a.k.a. sarcastic)

To clarify my point; I'm don't really think it will get a direct sequel and I don't want to raise my hopes too high, however I would love to see a sequel.

I also wouldn't want that sequel to be on the Wii again. I'd prefer it to be on the Wii's successor or the 3DS.
