I'll be playing Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and WarioWare on the GBA VC this weekend. Along with replaying through Rhythm Heaven Fever trying to get some more superbs and perfects, I love that game so much :*

I need to try to get through Wind Waker HD's wind temple this weekend too, as that's been hanging over me.

I still haven't finished Ni No Kuni and I've had it since this time last year
I'm basically trying to tie up some loose ends before Mario Kart 8 releases!

Emaan commented on Super Smash Bros. Hitting 3DS This Summer, Wii...:

I'll probably end up getting both games. Definitely more excited for the Wii U version though. I'm fine with this being a great Christmas game for me :*

We all know the Wii U version is the one to get, but I feel like releasing the 3DS version first will take away from the impact of the Wii U release.

I do appreciate the fact that they are putting extra time into the Wii U version since it's a completely different matter dealing with the technical aspects of everything and we want everything to be polished and up to standard.

At the very least, it would have made more sense to release the 3DS version either simultaneously with the Wii U version when the Wii U version was ready; or release it shortly thereafter. That way the hype and excitement surrounding the new Smash Bros. game would be focused on the Wii U version and Nintendo could see a likely major success with the release based a lot around consumer excitement.

Though this is all hypothetical. I think both versions will sell well regardless, and the Wii U will definitely be capturing more interest with the release of this game and Mario Kart 8 this year. I just think they might have taken away from their successes slightly with this decision. Who knows how everything will turn out though, only time will tell.

I realize there's something very smart about this decision to have the 3DS version release first after all. Most of us who were more interested in the Wii U version are probably much more tempted to get both now so we can play the 3DS version while we wait on the Wii U version. Crafty Nintendo. :p

"discouraging players from targeting only one player"

Now how is that going to be enforced?? So I'm playing online and I just happen to go after a certain fighter because they're in the lead or they've been playing cheap- so I guess I'm going to be reported / banned? What. :p

While I see the need for there to be a level of player regulation, this could also have a bad side.

"You might be wondering why we haven't shown Zero Suit Samus, well that's because she won't be joining us in the new Smash Bros."

Oh Sakurai how you troll us all :*

I was at first really intrigued by their decision to individualize Sheik and Zero Suit Samus from being a transformation but it makes sense. I can tell that Sakurai is making a lot of efforts to balance out the roster and all of the characters move sets for competitive play. I'm appreciating all the updated final smashes as well as a side note.

Speaking of Sakurai trolling, PLEASE just show me Ness and Captain Falcon already so I can rest easy :'(

Hopefully in the next couple months they confirm all of the returning veterans, and that includes Jigglypuff.
I hope there's still some newcomers left for them to show as well.

The whole part about them recommending better connection options bothers me. They're setting it up like we're probably going to encounter similar lag issues to Brawl- so they're informing us of precautions to take to try to minimize these problems.

That's just what it comes off as to me. I would hope that in the years of experience Nintendo has had with online play now, we can have a relatively smooth online experience with this game. I would expect as much with Mario Kart 8 as well.

Besides all that I like the online setup for the most part. I'm not sure why they force you to only be on final destination for the "For Glory" mode. I'm all for having separate online modes, one for casual fun and one for competitive play, but shouldn't stage selection be up to the players regardless? I don't know it's a minor complaint.

The moment I thought this I thought "This is so Sakurai! This is City Trial from Kirby Air Ride" I love the idea.

I'm really happy to see they are making efforts to differentiate the two versions of the game rather than just having the 3DS version be a lesser after-thought.

Mario Kart Wii basically punished you for being in the lead it seems. They just have to balance out the Blue Shell really. Mario Kart 7 seemed to take things in the right direction but something else needs to be done.

Very excited to see how the new Rainbow Road turns out in other news!

Why doesn't Nintendo use its characters as marketing tools to advertise their systems like this more often? Instead of showing generic lame families with the Wii U, show us unique animated commercials of how the Mario crew uses the system. I just feel like they could be far more creative than they have been.

Emaan commented on Nintendo Switching Off Wi-Fi Connection Servic...:

While this makes sense for most of these games, I'm a little surprised Nintendo so easily shuts out online for the Pokemon games on the DS. I know people who still play Diamond and Pearl online, let alone Black and White 2 have been out for just over two years. I just think with a series that places such an emphasis on communication, such as the global trade station and online battles, this really seems impractical.

I'm going to really miss the online for Mario Kart Wii and Animal Crossing: City Folk too.

No one's going to miss Super Smash Bros. Brawl online though, at least. :*

I'm definitely buying this. $8 for what seems to be an addictive puzzle game is pretty amazing :3

Also how many new Pokemon spin-offs does it take for us to get a new Pokemon Snap? It would be the perfect Wii U eShop game. :*
