I don't know about the gender politics of this, but I'll definitely be playing as Princess Peach from time to time with this game :3

While DLC much later on sounds nice, I'd much rather have a well rounded game full of original content from the start rather than less and having to pay for more.

I think the GamePad is brilliant, though it has a lot of untapped potential. That said, it's way too early for anyone to claim the idea isn't a good one. Nintendo needs to prove all the unbelievers wrong with the Wii U concept. I do admit though, very few E3 2013 games demonstrated much other than off-TV play. If only Time had played Nintendo Land or Game & Wario.

I think I'm going to give Mighty Switch Force! 2 a chance, if only because I loved the original- and its groovy soundtrack :3

For me, it was between Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8, but I had to go with Mario Kart. It just looks so impressive!

The 3 new Pokemon designs look great too!

I see his point. There's plenty of "new IPs" that I've seen released lately that might feature some snazzy new visual and 'wrapping' so to speak, but underneath it all, is just the same old mechanic or style of game that we've seen many times before.

On the other hand though, I would love to see Nintendo get some fresh ideas out with the Wii U and 3DS generation. The Pikmin series shows that they're still very capable of coming up with something new that excites even the most traditional of fans.

I think the games are there, Nintendo just needs to market the actual Wii U system better so more people know exactly what it is and what they would be potentially buying for such games.

This was somewhat expected.
Maybe I wish we saw something similar to the adventure games like 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy but this still seems great.

I really really want Nintendo to do well at E3 this year. Wii U needs a turnaround, bring the big games.

It was a fun addition to the original, but I can understand it not being included now. I'm at least glad they brought the island back in this one, something that was missing in the games following the original.

Well this only reminds me how much I need to find myself a copy of Rhythm Thief & The Emperor's Treasure.
