Or the fact that David Hayter hasn't done anything relevant other than Metal Gear Solid which ironically he was replaced in. I think Mike Pollock said it best a few weeks back when he tweeted this gem.

He was joking since Link doesn't have speaking roles but if you want to get technical Link doesn't have an English voice all those grunts etc. are from different Japanese seiyuus like Akira Sasanuma and Nobuyuki Hiyama. You can find a full list here.

EdJericho commented on Voice Actors Union Authorises Strike Action Wi...:

Hopefully this means Japanese games will feature less dubbing and just stick with the original Japanese track, especially when some games feature a dub only track (Persona 4: Dance All Night, Tales of Xillia, Kid Icarus: Uprising) or those that charge for the Japanese track as DLC (Final Fantasy 13: Lightning Returns, Drakengard 3).

In the western side of things companies like Naughty Dog, Activision, EA, Bungie, etc. will probably either cave in or just hire lesser known voice actors who aren't in the union. Which wouldn't make a difference to me since I honestly don't even know most to begin with and only recognize David Hayter and Tara Strong from that list mentioned.

EdJericho commented on Disney Infinity 3.0's Toy Box Mode Offers Blat...:

Reading the Twitter and Youtube comments makes me wonder if Nintendo fans are seriously this butthurt over the Infinity devs making a (crappy) Splatoon parody. They aren't calling it their own and they're obviously hinting it's a Splatoon parody from the stage level being Arowana Mall, using the word Squid Wars (you don't even turn into a Squid), and even saying Squidest Kid. Anyone saying Disney should be sued clearly doesn't get its a game editor mechanic and the devs more than likely knew about the Minecraft and Team Fortress 2 mods already made so they figured they'd make one and save people the trouble of making their own for the Infinity Toy Box editor.

EdJericho commented on Review: SENRAN KAGURA 2: Deep Crimson (3DS):

@AlexOlney No need for popcorn or coffee, this isn't a Nintendo game where if it'd had gotten a 6/10 (or an 8.8) the fan boys would be up in arms.

I didn't expect great reviews from this game like I usually do with any niche game but also mainly due to many who've played it still considered the previous Vita spin-off title better than SK2.

EdJericho commented on Interview: Senran Kagura Producer Kenichirō T...:

(Nervous laugh) Um, I'd say my preference falls on the smaller end of the spectrum. And yourself?

So @zipmon confirmed to be a Hibari fan?

@kensredemption I actually enjoyed both Hetalia and Free even tho they're both pandering to the fujoshi crowd.

In any case love this guy, speaks his mind and clearly loves what he does. Looking forward to getting both Senran Kagura 2 for 3DS but especially Estival Versus for the PS4.

Also, we need to make these comments more positive and ignore the Hometown-Hurt, so which Senran is best Kagura and why is it Yomi?

EdJericho commented on Stats Suggest That UK Kids Are More Likely To ...:

I believe it and I don't care for mobile gaming (tho I will admit there is some Jap games I find interesting). I feel most react this way due to insecurity that something may some day take over the handheld gaming market for the newer generations. It's visibly clear when you look around you and see kids playing more on a Tablet than a DS / 3DS (it comes to the point for me at least where I'm shocked to see a kid playing a 3DS instead of a Tablet like the majority do now). I also find the excuse about Tablets not having physical buttons ordeal so lame now in days since a newer generation of people seem to have no problems playing with just a touch screen. This doesn't mean I prefer non button games because I don't, but that excuse reminds me of how old folks have trouble getting newer products like say how they have issues understanding a Smart Phone and just prefer their old button dial number only phones.

EdJericho commented on Nintendo Quashes Rumours Of New Hardware At E3...:

Nintendo says there won't be a 3DS price drop. Over a month later they reveal a price drop.

Nintendo says there's no need for the 3DS to have a 2nd stick. Months later they introduce the Controller Stick Pro.

Nintendo says there won't be a 3DS remodel. Months later they reveal a 3DS XL

Nintendo says there won't be a Wii U price drop. Over a month later they reveal a price drop and even a bundle.

Yeah if anything this confirms more they're gonna reveal some new hardware rather than not.

EdJericho commented on Nicalis Boss Tyrone Rodriguez Thinks The Wii U...:

@Darknyht @Hy8ogen

Sony had the concept for motion controls prior Wii ever being revealed and was meant to be used with the Eye Toy. Also, the PSP had a similar feature of connectivity with the PS3 (revealed back in 2006). As for the having to spend extra cash to use a Gamepad like feature, you do realize Vita is a handheld with its own library of games right? It's not just a controller like the Wii U gamepad and pretty much everyone including their pet has a tablet in this day in age.

EdJericho commented on Nicalis Boss Tyrone Rodriguez Thinks The Wii U...:

The ironic part is just a few days ago during that article on why Murdered: Soul Suspect wasn't coming to Wii U many called his excuse weak and he should just be blunt saying it's not happening because Wii U sales are weak or that like many devs they don't want to use the Gamepad features (which they then list Controller Pro, Wiimote, etc. as alternatives and call the dev lazy). Jump now to today and Nicalis (which people think they're funny acting like they never heard of them even tho they've supported Nintendo many times) is giving the hard truth and once again people can't just accept the reality. Nintendo (Iwata) already admitted the Gamepad was the biggest reason the Wii U isn't selling well.

@AeroTech @MrSRArter

Nintendo isn't that smart to do such a thing just like they haven't bothered making their VC titles have online play even tho it's possible in Emulators (as well as many other classic remakes having such possible features in PS3, 360, PC) especially since they've stated years ago they want VC titles to stay to their original likeness. Tho this ordeal reminds me of the Retro Engine created by Christian "Taxman" Whitehead for Sonic 1, 2, and CD where Sega got interested in it and actually hired him and ended up selling these improved versions on PS3, 360, and Mobile Phones.

EdJericho commented on Nintendo Disables Swapnote's SpotPass Service ...:

Swapnote was never that great to be honest (except for Nikki she was awesome), and with Miiverse being added in the near future Swapnote will pretty much become useless. The only thing I hope is Nikki does the 3DS Miiverse message updates and not Tom.

EdJericho commented on Nintendo Financial Reports Bring Minor Profit,...:

I don't see the Wii U reaching that 9 Million mark when it hasn't even still reached the 4 Million mark (which was originally 5 Million) back at the end of the fiscal year this past March. It's honestly gonna get a lot worse with PS4 and XB1 just lurking a few weeks away.

EdJericho commented on Shigeru Miyamoto Clarifies That Local Multipla...:

Sounds more like Nintendo is being lazy by not adding the feature honestly (especially since he said it's possible). The whole seeing your opponents reaction is also a lame excuse since just a few years back one of the key features for Star Fox 64 3D was the whole seeing your opponents reaction on the screen, and that game wasn't even online so it was truly pointless because you could've just looked right at them, and yet it's a feature never used again for their online games like Mario Kart 7, Kid Icarus Uprising, and Luigi's Mansion 2 which would have made more sense to have in. I don't see how Nintendo can be taken seriously about their whole recent wanting to make their games co-op without having online play. This should at the very least been an optional choice for the gamers since there is many gamers who would use the option and let's be honest here, if it did have online co-op many of the people saying they don't care or agree with this excuse would be excited saying they can't wait to play it with friends and strangers online, just like how during the Wii era many said graphics didn't matter yet now go crazy saying how they can't wait to play games like the new Zelda in HD 1080p 60fps, or want a new Metroid, Star Fox, etc in HD 1080p 60fps.

EdJericho commented on Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut Will ...:

@Saleemra @LDXD

Yes but you need SmartGlass for the Xbox 360 version and a Vita for the PS3 version. So if you don't have a tablet or a Vita you can't even use the features while the Wii U version is playable because its through the game pad which was included with the Wii U. This is suppose to be one of the advantages Nintendo fans would always go on about that the Wii U has over their competitors when they use SmartGlass and Vita as a 2nd screen, that you "need" to buy an extra devices to use contents for a game. Even then the game was already out before on PS3/360 and unless I'm not mistaken there is no DLC upgrade if you bought the original Deus Ex so if anything the PS3/360 buyers are more screwed than this Wii U price because they have to buy the game again for such features (meaning they are paying about double the price) and on top of that if they don't own a tablet or Vita they have to pay A LOT more to use those extra features. In all honesty this just seems like Nintendo fans just wanting to complain over anything and jumping into conspiracy theories that 3rd parties are out to get Nintendo.

EdJericho commented on Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut Will ...:

Didn't most people here complain a few weeks back when Batman Arkham Origins was the same price as the PS3/360 even tho it was missing the online multiplayer and said it should've been cheaper due to that (which later got a cheaper price and people then found it reasonable to buy... sort of). Now we get this game where the Wii U has more content and instead people are complaining because its more expensive over extra content?

EdJericho commented on 32GB White Wii U, Rechargeable Wii Remote Batt...:

That charge dock is kind of disappointing especially compared to the ones Nyko has been selling since the Wii came out. It's only one Wiimote for the dock while Nyko has a dock for 2 and 4 Wiimotes. While it's nice to see Nintendo "finally" making their own they could've done something much better.

EdJericho commented on SEGA Reveals Castle of Illusion HD But There's...:

That trailer is from Playstation UK's YouTube channel so they won't show competition, if you go to Sega UK's YouTube channel however you'll see the same trailer with the Xbox 360 and Steam logos at the end with no spot available to place a Wii U logo. I'd get this for PSN either way so it's not a loss for me.

EdJericho commented on Original DuckTales Not Coming To Virtual Console:

That's odd of them to say since in the trailer at the very end when it shows all the fine print of all the copyright info for Sony, MS, and Nintendo it says "If you do not have the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS main menu, you will need to perform a system update." I guess that could've been a botch in there part since there is no mention of Wii U within that fine print yet mentions for PS3 and 360.

EdJericho commented on Rumour: 3DS Cartridge Could Allow Handheld to ...:

I can see this happening and honestly expected such an ordeal would occur back when the Wii U was revealed. In fact I see Nintendo even a few years from now making a 3DS XL Pro with the L2 R2 and 2nd Circle Pad built in the 3DS for such a reason and people won't have to deal with buying the attachment.
