Wow, these guys must be big fans of Rastan Saga, it looks very similar. If the gameplay is good i will be getting it for sure. I use to love games like this back in the day. Games like Rastan, Rygar, Golden Axe, Black Tiger, Ghosts n Goblins etc. I just wish they made it look more like an SNES game instead of an NES one. Great music too.

Call me old fashioned, but I like to own the physical copy of a game. I'll admit that digital is definitely more convenient, but being an older gamer I just like all the collectables that come with this hobby, like box art. I know is strange but I still prefer cartridges. Wish the Wii U had big chunky plastic cartridges. Those where the days.

I prefer to own physical copies of games provided they're available, but if not I go digital. I actually have been downloading quite a few games lately as there have been a lot of good indie games coming out lately. Can't wait for the new Shantae.

@JaxonH yeah that's pretty much where this industry is headed. There's not a lot of developers left out there that can afford to make those big AAA games. I think we're going to see a kind of 16-bit, arcade game kind of era, with the rise of indie games. Plus, like you said, the occasional big budget game.
Not necessarily a bad thing in my humble opinion as we're seeing games that cover the whole spectrum of the video game scale, from basic 8-bit style retro games to epic HD games.
I think games have gone about as far as they can go in terms of scope and graphic quality and now there's a return to simpler games. As long as Nintendo sticks around ( which they will) so will I.

I really hope these 3DS and Wii U DragonQuest games get western releases soon. Japan have got what? This, Terry's Wonderland and DQ7 on 3DS, and DQX Wii U. Hopefully we'll get some if not all of these games soon. If they can release Bravely Default, a relatively unknown brand compared to DragonQuest, in the west, I can't see why we won't see more DragonQuest eventually.
Anyway, this game looks great even if it is a remake.

@Tsusasi Don't be too hard on Nintendolife, I think this "drought" is something that's on a lot of gamers minds lately( it's certainly crossed my mind lately when planning my game purchases). I think part of the problem is that Nintendo's first party games are so amazingly amazing ( for want of a better term) that most Nintendo fans can't wait for their release. I mean c'mon, who doesn't want Smash Bros. NOW! But as many others have pointed out, quality beats quantity anytime.
Like you I'm an old school gamer and have owned most systems since the 8-bit days. If I had the money I'd buy SEGA and bring back Alex Kidd, not to mention a tonne of other dormant SEGA IP's.

I usually replay some of my favourite games when things are quiet. I currently have ten retail games and a bunch of VC and Indie games on Wii U since getting it at launch to keep me busy, plus DK Tropical Freeze this week.
I don't understand gamers who buy games, play them once, then trade them in for their next gaming fix. I personally think most games are more enjoyable after their first play through. I'm currently on my second play through of Wind Waker HD and really enjoying it. I wish I had more time to play some of my older games like Pandoras Tower and the Last story, not to mention I gave up on Xenoblade about halfway through, which I'd like to finish some time. Plus my sixteen 3DS games are keeping me busy. The only Wii U game I think should have been released by now is DragonQuest X.
