dizzy_boy commented on Mario Kart 8 Software Update and DLC Available...:

Something minor that I noticed while playing online, when you join a new session, the back button has been dissabled at the character select screen. You can only back out at the lobby, or in the middle of a race.
Also, there's no new stamps, can't complain too much really though, but it was something that I thought would be added.
Plus, I'm suprised that selecting 32 or 40 race isn't in the custom race option, it seems to be tacked on.

What the heck, Wario's gold mine got gimped. Some turns were quite tricky to get round if they weren't navigated right on Mario Kart Wii, which gave it a slight sense of danger. This version has been made easier because the track has been made slightly wider, and I'm sure there's a big dip missing just before the jump section in the second half of the race.
I was kind of expecting the Excite Bike track to be much better, but no.
Also, the trophies for both new GP's look identical except for the GP logo.

dizzy_boy commented on Wii U System Update 5.3.0 Adds amiibo Settings:

I suppose the best way Nintendo could work around the memory limitations of the amiibo would be to have stats saved in the game's saxe file. That way you can copy your data to an amiibo should you chose to use your stats on a friends WiiU. Then you can update the stats saved at home.

dizzy_boy commented on Video: Enjoy a Turbo Boost With This Mario Kar...:

I was thinking about how they would deal with the dlc tracks, atleast we now know.
The thing is, it'll split the community up quite a bit, especially when pack 2 arrives. They'll have to split it into those with no DLC, those who only own pack 1, those who only pack 2, and those who own both packs.
Also, isn't it frustrating to know the DLC is ready, yet we can't play it.

dizzy_boy commented on The Man Behind Sega's Wonder Boy Series Hates ...:

I could understand the original donkey kong games and mario bros, but super mario bros was spot on.
Having your thumb on the run button and wresting over the jump button made sense too, you have no need to lift your thumb to press jump simply because your thumb is there allready. It made for much more precise play.

dizzy_boy commented on Wii U Owner Proves That Rejecting The End-User...:

The only time Nintendo are gonig to block a WiiU or software is if you're running homebrew, pirate software, act like an idiot on miiverse, or use the internet browser for illegal use.
I have never heard of one instance where Nintendo have ever blocked an individual system, or it's software without good reason what so ever. There needs to specific reason before the take any action.
Since when has any update negatively impacted the way we play games on our consoles,?

dizzy_boy commented on Wii U Owner Proves That Rejecting The End-User...:

The guy in the video didn't even read all of the way through EULA. He should have atleast Informed himself fully what he's disagreeing to before he even rang Nintendo to complain.
Besides, since when have Nintendo ever done anything to the OS of their consoles that nobody wanted, or impacted the way we use the console's. Imo, they've always improved the OS. And even when glitches have appeared, they've always fixed, and pretty quick at doing so.
If the guy in the video is gonna use the car analogy, then he wouldn't buy a car and get part way through learning how to drive before he sets off at 100mph down the road.

dizzy_boy commented on Ubisoft To Release Petz Beach And Petz Country...:

In a few months I would love to see sales comparisons between this games and the Assasins Creed games. It would be quite interesting to know which sold more in the few months.
I would bet that Ubi won't be complaining if this doesn't sell many copies, even though they whine about there other games not selling on Nintendo systems.

dizzy_boy commented on Nintendo 64x64: Sin & Punishment:

@MegaWatts I have it on the Wii VC. I still think that I would probably dislike playing it with an N64 controller because I'm not a fan of moving the the charecter with one stick while aiming with the other in 3rd person view.
If it played like Space Harrier where you move you charecter, that's where you shot, I would have enjoyed it more.

dizzy_boy commented on Talking Point: Mario Kart 8's Diverse DLC Sets...:

I think Doc Louis from Punch out should be added with a boxing ring themed battle zone.
The Blue Falcon and F-Zero track is a welcom, it's highly unlikely that we'll be seeing a full F-Zero game any time soon.
The other thing to note is that I never see anyone complaining about the Namco charecters in the Arcade Mario Kart games, so I don't see the problem with a few non Mario charecters and courses. Just so long that Nintendo keep the balance in favour of the Mario franchise.

dizzy_boy commented on You Can't Count Nintendo Out, Says Activision CEO:

Activision obviously don't look at the eShop ratings, 5 of their games are currently in the top 20, 3 of which are mature rated games. So, it suprises me that Activision are now only supporting the kiddie market.
Tbh though, it's rather dissapointing to have to pay out for an extra console just to play the non Nintendo games.
