DiSTANToblivion commented on Talking Point: The Watch_Dogs Wii U Delay Demo...:

It's simple, I will not purchase any other third party titles on Wii U because of the non-existent support. Here in Australia we still don't have the Injustice DLC and I have yet to go back to the game. The only decent third party release I own is Rayman Legends.

I bought my Wii U for first party titles and Indie eShop releases, so I personally don't have an issue with third party companies not seeing Nintendo as being profitable for them.

DiSTANToblivion commented on Sonic Lost World Sales Reached 640,000 in 2013:

I felt the demo for the Wii U version was pretty weak. I didn't get the impression I'd have any fun playing through the whole game so I think the sales are about right. The Wonderful 101 on the other hand, VERY underrated game that many negative reviews failed to even properly understand. It's a pity W101 has sold pretty poorly.

DiSTANToblivion commented on Nintendo Scoops Two Awards at D.I.C.E:

The Last Of Us truly deserves the praise it recieves in my opinion. It's so much more than a game, it's an experience. As much as I am a Nintendo fan, even I can see that the two previous "Game Of The Year" awards rightfully went to the correct choices (The Last Of Us and Journey). Just thought I'd add my two cents to all the bitterness here.

EDIT: Besides, it's not like awards shows mean anything. Everyone has the capacity to agree or disagree with whatever they want, no imaginary 'award' for bragging rights will change that. That's why opinions are just so much fun... hahaha.

DiSTANToblivion commented on Nintendo States There Are "No Plans" to Bring ...:

After looking up Mario related games on Android Mobile (not to buy, I really dislike mobile 'gaming') I've come to the assumption that people playing mobile games really are clueless.

Review after review of Nintendo games 'Tips and Tricks', 'Walkthroughs' etc. resulted in the same 1 star complaints...

"Not a game!" / "Where is game?" / "Terrible app, it doesn't even have the game!"

It's one of the only games in recent memory that made me want to play it straight after I had finished. I did too, three times in a row. I want that elusive all gold star ranking but cannot seem to get past a silver for time. This game is amazing for speedrunning as well.

Now I wait patiently for the sequel. I REALLY want that sequel.

DiSTANToblivion commented on Analysts Weigh In With Estimates for Wii U Fis...:

I like my Wii U, no knowledge of how much they make or don't make will change that. Since when did we all become so concerned with numbers and figures? Remember the time when we all just enjoyed playing games and didn't let any of this news become relevant to us gamers? This should be more important to companies etc. Why should we even care if we're are still just having a good time playing games?

I think they were onto something good with the Skyward Sword desert time travel. The past and present encapsulated together working hand in hand. You could even be more experimental by creating an alternate universe where Link isn't the only hero saving Hyrule. Or maybe even realize Dark Link as an alternate Link, in this other world Ganondorf is the hero. It's important to make both realms co-exist together. How about getting even crazier and setting some story in modern day times? Too weird?

DiSTANToblivion commented on Nintendo Download: 3rd October (North America):

Guess I must be easy to please because I think I've still got plenty to play on Wii U. Some games I've finished, but since the replay value is good I'll still be enjoying them... W101, Pikmin 3 and NSLU; not to mention the downloadable titles I still have and Wind Waker HD plus Sonic Lost World too.

DiSTANToblivion commented on UK Boy Band Union J Sign Up To Promote Pokémo...:

They're not a band, they're a group, and just like One Direction they are a terrible group at best. Well I guess they make money through being a generic trend, so they achieve that goal. As long as the corporate music industry can profit we can't really do much about it besides turn off the radio and TV and actually listen to something decent.

@galetyler You do make some really good points, it's unfortunate that they didn't try and seperate console and handheld. There are a few great titles though, like P4G which is especially great if you've never had the chance to play Persona. Soul Sacrifice is pretty under rated to me but again just feels like a console game. Dragon's Crown should've been a Vita exclusive. Tearaway looks awesome and very original, that could show some unique features of the Vita for sure.

DiSTANToblivion commented on Poll: Would You Buy Grand Theft Auto V On Wii U?:

Saw the opening to GTA V on YouTube. Storywise the game looks to be incredibly generic and stale, with subpar emotional investment. The gameplay on the other hand seemed fun, though I've never played a GTA game that held my interest for more than two hours. Seems it's just repetitive shallow violence. If this wins Story of the year for gaming over the The Last Of Us I'll lose all hope for humanity. At least violence was relevant in that game and the story had emotional investment. Anyways... rant over.

DiSTANToblivion commented on Rayman Legends Sells More Copies In The UK On ...:

If only The Wonderful 101 could sell more... I haven't had a chance to even start playing Rayman Legends yet as W101 is taking all my time. Well there's that and the fact I still haven't finished Pikmin 3 either.

I'm playing though about 8 games now (on 3DS as well). I fail to see how Wii U owners are going through software starvation, like some people are still saying. Ahh well I guess people will always complain.

DiSTANToblivion commented on Layton 7 is Announced, and Looks Like Quite a ...:

@C-Olimar Actually I kind of agree on what you said about the Layton series. While I do love the stories, settings and music; after a while the games start feeling like a chore. I pretty much played 1-3 one after the other and enjoyed them all. I started getting tired of getting through the puzzles to see the stories in 4 and I still have yet to complete 5. No, for that I got distracted by other games, namely Project X Zone.

So while I still love the series I am feeling Laytoned out I guess...

DiSTANToblivion commented on Review: Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (Nintendo 64):

This and the first game were some of the most atmospheric experiences of the time. Love both the soundtracks in particular. I wish more 1st-Person Shooters took this approach of having gigantic levels that are ripe with secrets and weapons instead of the soulless CoD fodder you see nowadays.
