Actually, this looks like it has potential. there are a few minor changes I would like to see, but overall, this game could be quite a solid platformer.

Alright, I have legitimately stopped caring about this issue. I never said that it was MORALLY right. However, as a business, Nintendo has made the right decision, as Japanese standards are so much different than ours.

Remove the feature, its homophobia, patch and make the feature official, and its major problems for ninty Japan. No right option here people. I refuse to believe this until it is 100% official. I've been disappointed by squeenix far to many times recently to believe that they could actually do something that won't **** off their fanbase, so I'm not getting my hopes up again.

Can't really say I'm surprised. Squeenix's recent performance has been atrocious. Not localizing their good games and supporting nothing but the iphone (which has almost no market for a game that costs more than $10)... Also, I'm still incredibly bitter about the whole "twewy solo remix" ordeal. I hold one heckuva grudge, and squeenix has done little to nothing to redeem themselves recently. Tomb Raider 2013 is pretty good, but that's also a seperate branch, so I don't consider it a part of the "main" square enix.

wait, what? I never said it was "meaningless," just that it's inaccurate. That's why I never even bothered paying attention to the 3DS sales as of late. The fact is, the most important times to analyze a console's amount "units shifted" (for lack of a better term) are in it's first week to see how successful it was initially, and after the console dies off, aka, the final number of consoles sold. I'm not even that much of a ninty fanboy anymore, (meaning I'm not biased) and I know that the vita has a ****load of potential. But let me guess, the only way I would NOT be considered a "fanboy" from your point of view would be if I said something along the lines of the following:

The problem with analyzing sales charts at this point is that a lot of people who wanted a 3DS already have one. I kinda feel that sales charts before the console has ceased production are an unidealic way to analyze a system's success. Not to concerned at this point.

Let me introduce you to a little game called "Final Fantasy: All The Bravest."

Square enix has literally no right to complain about taking a heavy loss. They have been releasing nothing but **** for months, and teasing fans the entire time. New twewy game? NOPE. remake for the ios. Week long teaser site, too. Bravely default localization? NOPE. Greedy, terrible final fantasy ios game. They can't complain about poor sales on consoles, because they haven't released anything DECENT on consoles for a long time.

Square enix is getting progressively more dead to me. They used to care about making fantastic games and pleasing their fans. Now all they care about is the ios.

Honestly, I am ecstatic that Pokemon is finally making the jump to 3D. We haven't had a true 3D game since xd: gale of darkness/ It's great to see that the main series is going in that direction. It's also about time Ninty released a main series pokemon game for the 3DS. So psyched for this!

Everyone keeps saying that there will be a RS remake, but I doubt thats going to happen. The reason gamefreak even remade GS was because it would have been impossible to complete the national pokedex if someone only had a dsi (which was incapable of migrating pokemon from RSE and fire red/leaf green). The release of HGSS made it possible to catch all 493 pokemon at the time, and since pokemon can be transferred from the gen 4 games into the gen 5 games, RS does not NEED to be remade. Contrary to popular belief, game freak did not remake GS to appease the fans; that was just a side effect.

tl;dr: there is no "reason" for game freak to remake RS, and there won't be until the DS games become obsolete. In other words, there will never be a RS remake on the 3DS

Honestly, this game seems to be a poor man's version of Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes, a retail DS that has done all of the things this game does better. Sorry for the terrible grammar in that last sentence, but you know what I mean.

Anyways, great review. Was interested in this, but I had a bad hunch about it that was just confirmed.

My main problem with ditching rpg elements for this new game was that fighting enemies suddenly felt useless. Less than useless, actually. Without experience points, there is nothing to be gained from the battles at all, other than losing your precious, LIMITED stickers and guaranteed losing of health (unlike the M&L series where all attacks can be avoided somehow). Losing the rpg element of experience points while keeping the rpg element of separate battle screens feels like a poor design choice. I cannot tell you how relieved I am when I hit a goomba with my hammer and see it die immediately and not have to go into an official battle sequence. While I can understand the ideas behind it and I can respect the innovation of the game, I have to say it just doesn't work well at all. In truth, playing sticker star just made me REALLY want to break out my old N64 and play the original paper mario again.

Lets be honest. Even if this game got a 1, most people would still buy it.

I've played the sequel a few times. Great game, I must say. So creepy it goes full circle and is almost comical.

That is far to expensive. They should pay you to download the game in order to punish EnjoyUp games.

I really hope this is something good, but knowing square, they're just going to butcher this thing entirely. The last three mana games ranged from adequate to terrible, and I fear that squeenix is intent to maintain that pattern. Quote from the main producer of SoM: "The mana series is whatever I want it to be." Seeing as how squeenix has a personal vendetta against its fanbase, this may not be what anyone is hoping for. Good news for iOS gamers though.

Nothing but dissapointment for this teaser. There could have been so much more. Especially with all the hype it got, I was expecting more than a mere port with a couple upgrades and a weakened battle system

Needs moar TWEWY. Josh got more lines then Neku did. Although I love the kingdom hearts series, the fact that TWEWY is involved in the game at all completely overshadows the fact that kingdom hearts in general is my 3rd favorite game/series. 1st being TWEWY and 2nd being Pokemon.

HALLELUJAH! I AM SO PSYCHED!!!! (get it? PSYCHED?) Anyways, a sequel to this game would be fantastic. I would go as far as to say that The World Ends With You is the best game I have ever played. And yes, I have played games like Mario 3, Link to the past, portal, etc.

This I can actually understand. Traditionally, fire emblem games have one "lord" unit per party, which is the main protagonist. The most noteworthy exception is sacred stones, when you have both Eirika and Ephraim. In this fire emblem, the player will not only have the main lord, but their own "my unit" character. Having Marth in the game from the get-go would just be overpowering in favor of the character. This way, a player can choose to make themselves insanely powerful or not. Of course, there's always the option to have a character and just not use them but.... I'm just going to ignore that flaw in my argument.

I really don't care much about the power of the system. Sure, the super mario bros graphics didn't require a lot of power, but exactly how much more would one need? It looks perfect for the kind of graphical style it's using, and it doesn't need to be more powerful. Eventually, graphics are going to be irrelevant, as there WILL be a certain point where graphics cannot be enhanced anymore. This is what I call the "reality limit." Graphics simply cannot become more vivid and detailed then they are in real life. Eventually, we will reach the point where handhelds can play games that look as good as Crysis 2. Where do we go then? at that point, graphics can't be enhanced much more. At that point, graphical and processing power will be pretty much useless as it would reach a point where it could not advance any farther. Luckily, developers can actually focus on good gameplay at that point, not just fancy graphics to appease the salivating masses.

Kinda a pitiful April fools prank if you ask me. I still personally think the "gameboy and gameboy advance games coming to DSiware!" prank was the best one.

Hm... What advantages are there to download only video games? You don't have to leave your house to get them, you don't have to put in a new cartridge or disc to play them... Any others?
