D_Johnson commented on WiiWare Demo Service Now Available Worldwide!:

To anyone doubting that this will not be permanent, read up...

In a Q&A session Iwata said that Nintendo would be trying out demos using a handful of them. If these demos double the sales of the title then there's a good chance that Nintendo will make it official.

Right now they are on the doubt phase. They still don't believe that demos are the answer. But if sales do double they will have to eat their words and implement them. I mean, we know that the SD storage solution helped a lot of people, both fans and developers. If the first batch of demos go wonderfully you can bet that it will be permanent.

I also don't understand why Pokemon Ranch has been around for so long. I mean, its a neat Pokemon app for the fans, but you would think that by know anyone that wanted the app would have gotten it by now!

Hopefully, the release of the Mystery Dungeon games and the fighting game will make people forget about it.

I honestly expected Lost Winds to go straight to number one. But considering the game has only been out for three days it really can't go up that fast. Maybe next week...

And geez, are people THAT curious about Strip Poker? It doesn't even have real nudity!

D_Johnson commented on Review: Gravitronix (WiiWare):

Question: Someone here suggested to use reviewers as play testers. Is there a way for developers to send WiiWare games for preview? The only thing I can come up with is sending a preview disc, but that would require more additional costs.

I was under the impression that J.Lowther was talking about WiiWare and DSiWare games, not VC games. I mean, those are the games that require the most testing (They ARE new games, as for VC games as its been mentioned already all they need to do is check for emulation issues and such).

My wish is for Nintendo to just announce the games they have planned for the month. "For the month of October we have the following games...". Sure it would ruin the "surprise", but it would eliminate the speculation and disappointment the Nintendo Downloads creates each week.

Fans would know what to expect, and there would be less complains about it.

If I had a DSi I would get the new Pinball game. I LOVE Pinball games to death, and if its true its being made by the folks behind Metroid Prime Pinball then its a must :D .

Also, Gravitronix is a MUCH better than it appears to be. I admit at first I felt indifferent towards it. But once you get past the tutorial levels the game becomes fun and addictive.

Its only 500 points, so even if you don't like it you won't be losing much.
