That's got to be Gamecube games on VC [at best with an HD lick of paint] but at the very least with full NTSC 60hz component support which most of us Europeans never got. Perhaps even for games like MK Double Dash, Kirby Air Ride and 1080 Avalanche to have their original online functions thrown in? I for one didn't yet have internet at home back then, let alone fork out for the GC Broadband Adapter! Would love to see games never released in Europe [like Homeland make it over for Hanabi.]

Wiimotes were a revolution - against the grain, highly controversial and not without flaws. The Wii U controller is an evolution of what we already know, love and expect of Nintendo gaming - from the generic button configuration to the now all familiar touch screens.

Chuckie-Doll commented on Nintendo of Europe Apologises for Monster Hunt...:
This is their consumer telling Nintendo that they are not ready to commit to their downloadable view of the future. I cannot blame them. IMO why pay £50 online for something you will never physically own [and is only yours to keep so long as Nintendo see fit] when you can track down a physical copy for closer to £30 in the shops and then do with it as you see fit?

I'd like to see an FZero 3DS game - imagine 30 player local and online multiplayer at 60 frames a second in 3D...
Shenmue III would be a dream - with a rerelease of the first two in a trilogy boxset with #2 having the full English dub only available on the xbox release.]
A series of eshop releases like the Konami Rebirth series from Sega's 8/16bit catalogue - Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Ecco, Alex Kidd, Fantasy Zone, Shinobi etc.
Wii U sequels to Shining Force, Jet Set Radio, Dragon Force, Burning Rangers, Head Hunter etc
I could namedrop for some time...

Serves Nintendo right for rushing the system out before Christmas in order to monopolise the new market and help itself to some easy money from it's core support- this is now the cost. They could easily have waited until this summer and still released their new console way ahead of the competition as planned. And with a complete list of ready features [Wii U Virtual Console, Wii TV] and a selection of quality titles the would have blown the critics away / competition out of the water.
I worry that if this bad press persists, it will do significant damage to Wii U's mid to long term future with those developers and consumers currently sitting on the fence, being swayed to bypass the system and concentrate on the the PS4/Xbox720 instead. I don't think Monster Hunter and Pikmin 3 [of the highest profile Q2 releases] and a few remakes [Windwaker, Resi Revelations] can be expected to carry the can alone until much later in 2013. Going the best part of a year without building a modest library of decent titles [and of several exclusives] is not acceptable from Nintendo IMO.

@TheAzda - for me, the online experience turned Tri from a good game into a great game - it took time to find others players in the hub, likeminded and of a similar level, but once you rallied and clicked with three equally matched players online, the real joy was to be found in taking down those monsters with tactical teamwork. I remember when I first beat Alatreon with the aid of online mates - rarely since have I felt so accomplished from a game on a Nintendo console.

Chuckie-Doll commented on The Conduit Getting HD Remake For Mobile Tegra...:
Was so disappointed by the first Conduit - it would now take some impressive, impartial reviews to bring me back to the series. Until then I'm burdened with memories of droll corridors, bland cliches for character models, and one of the worst online services of the Wii era. What should have been the launchpad for the Wii Speak accessory turned out to be it's death warrant before it had ever got off the ground. It'll take more than an HD lick of paint to fix that mess of code IMO.

So many pop culture references and only 2 chapters in...I wonder how many younger gamers would twig the early SMB2 dream sequence parody? Not simple to have ever witnessed those end credits without a game genie or before youtube!

It's a long shot - but Nintendo did just open up their European R&D centre in Paris last year - he would make an excellent project leader and a massive coup for NoE. Perhaps he has been headhunted? This whole fallout between Ubisoft and Ninty might just be the repercussions...having said that he's only truly likely to get unlimited creative freedom from going indie.
