By far, the best online Wii game if not the best Wii game altogether. Its been a rollercoaster with Tri; met really cool people, had arguments with others and all the damn Deviljhos in between.

As sad as this news is, we must thank Capcom for having the server open for so, so long and for letting us enjoy the online experience for free.

Best game, best console, best Nintendo era. This game is what got me into action RPGs back in the day. It's a work of labour and love; from the graphics to the soundtrack. OoT is a masterpiece in its own right, but this game will never age. It be great if we could download it on 3DS.

I hope this game not only creates a bigger following this time round but it creates enough impact to make Capcom release more games outside Japan. There are thousands of people who import japanese consoles to play these games and this should stop now! There is a massive Monster Hunter following in the EU and US and this is the chance we have to prove how badly we want this franchise on our shores. Ryozo Tsujimoto wants us to play and truly enjoy Monster Hunter here in the west as he had a Q&A with gamers on Facebook about the game and is even releasing a patch in April to play on the gamepad. Not only that, but the fact that US and EU servers will be able to play together for the first time is a great move. They have done their research in order to make this work and it will pay off. One thing I'd like to see is real Gathering Halls like the one they had in London in 2009, that would really help the 3DS sales.

The success of this version will start slow and rapidly pick up due to the fact that it is an awesome game and that it will boost Wii U sales dramatically. The Miiverse is catered for this game; people can talk, draw and comment on hunts and strategies. Anyone who reads this, has a Wii U or is getting one just because, add me to your list! I think that the success of both the Wii U and PS4 rely on its fan base and with the era the gaming industry is going through. There are Nintendo fans, PS fans, Xbox fans and people who just enjoy the odd Call of Duty game. It's harder now to get people entised into paying £300 + for a console unless they follow the brand and have for years. The way in which we approach games has changed drastically in the last few years and the fact that games can be downloaded or streamed is far more beneficial to the industry, rather than releasing a game and it going through a 'recycle' phase such as trade in.

In terms of specs; in reality no one gives a damn. Its all about the games and the graphics (and real gamers play games for what they are, not because of the graphics). Nintendo has managed to sustain itself over the years not thanks to its graphics but its own library of classics. With the Wii U it was great to see that it had so many launch titles of which more than half were 3rd party owned. This proved the faith that these 3rd party developers have in Nintendo and it's Wii U. Sony'a new machine sounds great, and the specs are definitely to next gen standards. I'm more interested to see what the last contender (Microsoft) has to offer in the future. The fact is that the Wii U is seen as another platform in which big games will be released and not just exclusive to PS3 and Xbox 360 respectively. Then the real question will be: "Which version shall I get? The Wii U or the PS4?" Nintendo has essentially created a giant DS experience with the Wii U with its gamepad and its a good formula. Its going to be an interesting year ahead of us and the gaming industry. Let the Games Begin!

I agree. The 3 factors affecting Wii U sales are:

1. It's only been out for 2 months
2. Needs more software
3. Needs cheaper software

I think that Nintendo could market the console a lot better. There are a lot of people who still think its just the controller.

It's good to see that there is yet another bundle coming out soon too. The Monster Hunter bundle will be bought by people who have played the previous installments. Nintendo need to release a NSMB U bundle because this are the ones that sell themselves. The problem isn't buying the console; people are willing to pay more than £250 (in most cases in the past) IF there is decent or appealing software available. The launch titles were great, but why pay £60 for AC3 when I can get it for £35 +/- on Xbox or ps3?

I think things will pick up, especially since the news received from the Nintendo Direct yesterday.

Does anybody know if you can download these games from the eshop directly when they are out?

Yes it out on Wii ware and in 3D for 3DS but there's the 'classic' version that has been released in the states for the 3DS eshop.

My point is it just feels like Nintendo fans in the EU have been forgotten. I know Fire Emblem is out in April but WHEN exactly in April? The US already has it and they will get Monster Hunter earlier than us too.

My point is that things are feeling a bit stale. You would have thought that we would get Nintendo TV any time now but again we are still waiting for that as well.

Nintendo forgot about Europe, thats all.

Sigh, is it me or is Europe in a slump: no Cace Story, no Fire Emblem Awakening. I feel I need to move to the States to get good Nintendo stuff.

Took the words out of my mouth mate. New Vegas was worse though, had to wait a whole year for the patches to be released and it was still glitchy.

Glad theres people who can't wait for Monster Hunter. This is the best version yet ^^

ZombiU pack with 6 games for £670 O_o' WTF?

I agree with everyones point of view. I have a Wii U Zombi u edition from GAME and I could only afford it because I traded in half of my library for it. The only game I was willing to invest money for was New Super Bros Mario U, the rest of the launch titles don't really appeal to me.

Games like Batman and Mass Effect 3 have been around for a while now, so why would you pay £300 + for a console that has games seen on other platforms? Unless you are looking into getting first party titles like Nintendo Land and thats still £45 +.

Its too early to come to any conclusion on how well the Wii U is selling but its just not very affordable. Nintendo said that they will make their money back from the sale of one game, I'm not surprised when you are charging £45 - £59 a pop! Unfortunately the games aren't any cheaper through the Nintendo eShop either.

It will be interesting to see what the next few months will bring. I doubt Nintendo will make the same mistake as they did with the 3DS and if they do realise they have at least we know that we will get "compensation" goodies.

If you can wait for a price drop because the Wii U is too expensive for you or want to wait for other games (Pikmin 3, Monster Hunter Ultimate and so on) then do so.

Games need to be affordable.

Does it work on Macs? I'm tying it, it connects but all I get is a page with "It works!" on it 0_o'

Haven't read the article above or the comments, only the title. Big word coming from a guy who only managed to create one good franchise and screw another possible one in his whole career. Molyneux, when you promise something at least deliver it. Nintendo have made better sims and action RPGs than you would ever imagine to come up with.

Fable was the foundation of what could have been the best RPG on this side of the waters but you did not deliver with the second or third instalment. Sorry if I offend anyone who does not agree with me, but you really need to have a pair to even think of such a statement as Mr Molyneux's.
