Behold! I am Lord of All Breakfast Foods! I love Nintendo and all their franchises. My favorite genre is platformers, but I enjoy all kinds of games. I love talking about my favorite games (however putting my thoughts into intelligent sentences can be challenging).

CapnPancakes commented on Review: Mega Man Zero 2 (Game Boy Advance):

The Zero games are definitely hardcore platformers, even by Mega Man standards, but like you said in your review, they're very satisfying. I think Zero 2 might be my favorite in the series, gotta love the fabulous Elpizo.

This is the point i've been trying to convey amidst all the disappointed people. The games Nintendo revealed may be safe, and there weren't a lot of surprises, but they'll sell well. As much as people wanted a sanbox style Mario game, 3D World will probably sell better overall and it should provide a nice push during the holiday season.

I've been having pretty bad allergies the past few days, and when lying around in bed, I found myself playing my 3DS much more often than my iPod Touch or iPhone. There are some good games on mobile devices, but it will never be a substitute for a real gaming console for me.

@rjer
Yoshi's Story is a much different game than the Yoshi's Island series. I haven't played Yoshi's Story myself, but I understand the goal is to collect frit while Yoshi'd Island takes a more traditional platforming route, albiet with loads of creativity.

I've calmed down quite a lot since this whole incident started, but I could never be angry at the development team in the first place. It's nice that they're taking the time to give us Wii U owners some extra content since the game is pretty much finished anyway.

My shoulder buttons have never leaked :O

I think Nintendo is right in saying that people need to give the Wii U time. With the Wii you could see the potential right away with it's motion controls, but the Wii U is a bit more complex. I think we'll start to see some really creative stuff but it's going to take a while.

@Deathgaze
I can't say how I felt about the game back when it came out, but from a modern perspective I just don't think the game is that fun to play. If is one of the most influential games out there for sure, but I'm just saying I don't see the appeal. This is coming from someone who legitimately likes Zelda II so i'ts not like I hate Retro games either.

CapnPancakes commented on Talking Point: The Problem With 'Old' Wii U Ports:

Very good article. I agree with many of the points you made. Developers need to start making some of these multiplatform games come to the Wii U. Apparently that takes a certain amount of effort so they just give us old ports instead.

CapnPancakes commented on Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, De...:

Why the hell do we have to wait to play Rayman Legends when it's obviously almost finished? The game was going to be released in less than 20 days but they delay it so its released at the same time as the other consoles. Other publishers haven't been delaying their games because the Wii U version isn't ready. Screw Ubisoft.
