This is why I am still shocked and saddened whenever I see so called gamers bad mouthing Nintendo. Even if you don't like what they make (which I find extremely hard to understand), their business methods and corporate values are something that deserve to be supported by anyone who loves games.

I prefer playing on WiiU, so I'' probably get it, but it would be huge pity. I normally don't care about DLC, but Arkham City has the only DLC outside of Mass Effect 2 I've ever bothered with.

I won't buy it for a different platform just for the opportunity to give them more money.

Nintendo would squash the 'backup' argument if they would just create proper eShop profiles that are linked to your library. As it stands I would love to be able to back up games and lose the ongoing fear of a broken or stolen 3DS.

without Wiimote controls I just can't see myself bothering. It was great on 3DS, but this reeks of cash-in.

Edit: Wiimote controls would make the purchase entirely worthwhile, since I only really played the main game on 3DS. The other modes looked great though and would be very enticing with the fantastic Resi 4 Wii controls.

@HeatBombastic That was a bit of an off hand comment - I guess its not just the guns but the overall violence. I was a huge fan of Road Rash back in the day. Road Rash 2 was probably my favorite Megadrive game next to Sonic 2. But the tone was entirely different. Road Rash was really camp and the violence was basically comical, which was highlighted by the funny animations at the end of each stage. There were 'good' characters who generally frowned on violence and bad ones who were basically vicious bastards. It was an illegal race, where violence was an option, but not actually encouraged, and when there was violence it was comical.

Now its assassination missions, neck stabbing and guns.

The racing part looks great, just don't see myself enjoying this.

EDIT: And yes I am afraid of guns. I live in one of the more dangerous countries in the world. Anyone not afraid of guns needs a reality check.

I don't get this debate. I think its great to have casual modes. We want people to play games don't we? I'm not sure what mode I'll play this in, if I ever do, but I know my girlfriend prefers playing games just for fun. Challenge puts her off, so this might allow her and the millions of people like her to enjoy the game. She only recently started gaming, and so far has only finished Layton and the Curious Village and is nearing the end of Luigi 2. More varied difficulty means more gamers!

Its so frustrating - I can't get connected to the Wii Shop, not with my Wii (I thought for a long time there was something wrong with it) but now I can't connect my WiiU either. It connects to the eShop just fine, just won't go online in Wii mode. And I wan this game soooo badly

@RaymanFan2 Not true at all.

For a start check out : http://www.theesa.com/facts/gameplayer.asp including this - Forty-seven percent of all players are women, and women over 18 years of age are one of the industry's fastest growing demographics. It annoys me when a normally excellent site like Nintendolife makes statements that reinforce stereotypes that are entirely false.

It really doesn't help change perceptions, which ironically seems to be one of the goals of making the statement in the first place.
