Byron-3D commented on Review: 3D After Burner II (3DS eShop):

I have a couple of the 3D classics and I'm happy with them, I'll more then likely pick this up to if I can find it on the eShop. I've struggled to find the other 3D classics I want and the search always comes back blank for me. Damn you Nintendo and your poor eShop layout

I don't really have a problem with the system being locked as I'm not really intrested in importing games but I does seem a bit pointless having a system locked in today's day and age, remember though folks this is Nintendo and we know they always do things differently.
I will say though that the PS3 being reagion free came in very handy when I wanted my copy of Stick of Truth to be uncensered.

I honestly don't understand why people moan about games they are still yet to play, if you don't like the changes go and boot your N64 up and play the original.
I never finished the original MM so I'm looking forwards to playing this and welcome any changes they make if it makes the game a more enjoyable experience.

Tough choice, it's going to be between MK8 or smash on the 3DS for me though I have a massive backlog and constantly play games long after their release (even though I pick them up at launch) so with that in mind my 'GOTY' is actually Mario and Luigi Dream Team Bros.

Byron-3D commented on Poll: Which is the Best Mario Kart Game?:

I don't get why 7 hasn't got many votes as for me it's the best of the bunch and the one that got me back into the series, I still have many late night playing it online and I find the races that little more frantic and 'edge of seat' then I do on 8.

I'm all game for them releasing cards ect with the chips inside, being a 31 year old guy I find collecting toys a little bit 'childish' and something more aimed at my 3 year old daughter but on the flip side I still want to use the features they bring to my games

Bought this game a wile ago when it was on offer for £10 brand new (might have been £8.99 bit not going to be picky) can't say I'm a massive Street Fighter fan TBH but this is defiantly one of the better portable fighting games I have played.

Ahh KI:Gold this is the only game if class myself as a master at, I know this game inside out and that's just as well after the 100s of pound coins I chucked into the original KI2 machine, this was a god send when it got released it's saved me a lot of money and boardum

Byron-3D commented on 3DS Homebrew Channel Reportedly in Final Stage...:

There's a lot of pros and cons to this, obviously homebrew is a big plus and over the years I've had some awesome homebrew for some of my consoles (WiiMC was alone worth soft modding the Wii for) but as we all know things like this always end up being spoiled by the filthy pirates.

Ok I know gateway is on the market and you can already pirate 3ds games but when it comes to soft mods it let's you pirate for free and their for makes it a lot more inviting for those who want to pirate (remember these people won't shift £25 for a decent game then they prob won't want to chuck money at a flash cart).

Nintendo will patch this as soon as it's released anyways but what I think they need to do in a system update is block all online features to all 3ds consoles on older firmware so people are forced to update their consoles and to protect online from the skavvy people who want to cheat and pirate.

I remember the day I got my Mega Drive, one of the best Christmas Days I ever had, hours spent playing sonic, Mortal Kombat and Mega Games 2. Looking back now though I wish my parents had bought me a SNES

Byron-3D commented on Mario Kart 8 Update & DLC Scheduled for 27th A...:

I'm all for the updates and love the fact they changing the default options but I'm unhappy about them bundling the dlc with the update technically forcing the merc dlc onto us (I'm assuming to race online you will need the update). I'd rather have the choice to keep the tacky dlc karts out of my game

When I first started I thought I'd be in with a chance of winning then only ended up with 132 points, really enjoyed it and would play again, I voted Monday as it's game night but could make it any night of the week.

Byron-3D commented on UK Government Effectively Decriminalises Downl...:

I used to be a pirate for quite a wile when I was younger but now I don't beleve in waiting around downloading massive files, much easer to go buy the bluray or game for the sake of a few quid. Makes me laugh as I still know people that will buy knock off games or movies for a fiver a pop yet the real thing is only a couple of quid more. If they want to cut piracy treat it like shoplifting, if your caught downloading/stealing no matter how petty you get arrested and cautioned, get caught again then get charged and go to court and risk going to jail. The crimes are the same at the end of the day.

Edit to add: they should also treat people who buy pirated media the same as people who handle stolen good as again it's the same crime

Byron-3D commented on Latest Wii U System Update Allows Console To C...:

As others have said this is just a step away from what we want, this is why if there's an eShop game I can also get of PSN il go for the latter, not only wis their the chance it comes with cross play but I also feel like my purchase is more secure should anything happen to my console.

Byron-3D commented on Talking Point: Should Nintendo Be Promoting Th...:

I've been putting of buying a tablet because of my gamepad, there's times when I'm watching tv ect il grab the gamepad to check the internet but it's no way a replacement for a 'real' tablet, it only does the basic things a tablet can do and if Nintendo promote it as something it's not then they will have more unhappy customers. Has whoever wrote this article ever used the gamepad? If they had they would realise this article is pointless

Only really interested in Another World, il wait for a review first then try decide what console to pick it up on. I'm only about 50 points off from my free £5 eShop credit as part of the premium promo so may put that towards it.

Byron-3D commented on The Next Batman Game Is Arkham Knight, And No,...:

@eaglebob345 I think your missing the point about what I mean by superior, it's nothing to do with the amount of games it's what the console alone is offering, correct me if I'm wrong but I can't even play mp3s of a USB stick on my wii u let alone a movie. Now everybody shush!! I can't be bothered going round in circles anymore. I bought a wii u, then I bought a ps3 and realised the wii u was as bad as people had told me. Lesson learnt. End off

Byron-3D commented on The Next Batman Game Is Arkham Knight, And No,...:

Like I've said before I only bought my wii u for the first party game and yes I haven't played all of them but it's nice to shake things up a bit. For an age I've been defending Nintendo and their games but after picking up a PS3 two weeks ago I'm finding it the far more superior console, this shouldn't be happening with consoles with a 6/7 year age gap.
Now I have to turn round to my mates and say that they was right from the start and Nintendo really are losing their 'game' so to speak.
(Please note I'm not saying Nintendo are doomed)
