does look rather nice, but when is a case a good replacement for a game? i might get this anyways, but so many things to download, LM2, Animal Crossing, Pokemon X/Y, LoZ:LttP2, and various other titles.

him: a ds split in two? me: well, thats accurate... to me its a wii smashed with a 360 and, dare i say it, an ipad. besides, didn't he say that nintendo was dead at the 3ds launch? oh, and look at that, 3DS and wii u are selling like hotcakes in japan. perhaps not elsewhere in the world, but they are still becoming more and more popular.

I can see possibilities here. What if on brawl there were figurines that would unlock that character on the system, but only on one system, then if you scan it again, it gave you that character just until you quit the game? Plus it could use ir to work with the 3ds version too... MAKE IT HAPPEN IWATA =D

I did see an older machine at the chuckk e cheese near me, and its the most popular machine there. But that place is such a madhouse where i live that its just easier to go somewhere else.

Chill, theres a lot of blockbuster games on the way, like Pokemon X + Y, Mario Kart U, Super Mario Insert-game-name-here, Wind Waker HD, and that Zelda game. Not to mention Smash on both consoles.

Right up there at no. 2 on the list! The only game that can really take it down is Need for Speed: Most Wanted for Wii U. But the games are almost for sure going to be released months apart from each other that it doesnt really matter. That shiny new 3d mario platformer came amazingly close, too...

Wow. People aare maad about something that will happen, but not yet? While it is troublesome to send your console to the big N, how hard is it to just, say, unplug your console and bring it to a friends house? You can even set up ur wireless to work at your friends house. And, rreminder, THIS IS ONLY TEMPORARY.

i think they actually showed something like this when they first unveiled the wii u, except it was a lot more polished, and it used the full gamepad (the old model, of course).

@SpaceKappa well, think. its one thing for a wiiware game that takes up only a tiny amount of space to be moved temporarily on to the system. its another for an almost-17 GB game. where would it be moved to, temporarily or not?

someone already said this, but intendo is working to get to the hardcore gaing audience, ad sony and micrrosoft are working to get casual gamers. look which company has been the most successful with their console overall, and the games that they have with it.

so jus thinking, if you get a drive with an external power source, does that mean that the wii u takes up three power outlets(console, gamepad, hard drive)?

im so sad that christmas is a month away, and that my birthday is another 4 months after that! (im still saving)

@Justaguest uh, yeah, that would be becaise its designed to be used close to your face. the headphone jack is as quiet as it is because its not designed for speakers, its designed for headphones.

nintendo ought to take a look at partnering with Rhapsody... ive tried them and theyre really good! matter of fact, im using it right now!
