BradPJ commented on Club Nintendo Japan Falls Victim to Hack Attack:

Prior to the Ubisoft hack I used the same password for everything, as I am signed up on way to many sites to remember individual passwords. This being the third time in a about a year of having to change my password for everything I changed my method.

I now use a password manager with unique, long passwords containing symbols, letters and numbers. They are also completely random. So if this does happen again I'd like to think I'm more safeguarded. of course depends on the service and what information is stored there.

BradPJ commented on Miiverse Now Available In Your Browser:

Someone has made an app for this for Android phones and released it on Google Play. It is simply the website but contained as an app. Therefore it acts the same, no notifications, but it does appear in the app drawer and doesn't have a browser bar.

EDIT: There's two on the Android Play Store. One has ads and one does not. The one without ads is the one just called Miiverse.

BradPJ commented on Iwata Reveals More Details On New Super Luigi U:

Feel quite inclined to get New Super Mario Bros U just so I can get this DLC. The New Super Mario Bros series has began to bore me as of late so I haven't picked this up yet, however the DLC looks different enough for me to enjoy (in the sense of very fast levels).

BradPJ commented on Talking Point: The Download or Disc Dilemma:

Many pro's of downloads here are exactly what go through my mind every time I buy a new Wii U game and many of you could probably sell me to go all digital.

But again the price is a huge issue. As a student the £10 price difference (generally) is huge. Some games (Batman: Arkham Asylum) have a £30 difference and I cannot warrant that price difference.

'But do these people still buy CDs or simply get their music on iTunes, in which case are they a dying breed?'

This part spoke to me, because in fact all my music is still brought physically, as well as my films and my Wii U games.
My main reason being DRM, I hate the thought that someone else can control what I do with what I purchase. Amazon Kindle is great example - one book which people had purchased was removed from all devices due to copyright issues. Another reason is price. I nearly downloaded ZombiU at £30 from the eShop, until I found it for £28 brand new and 2 days before the promotion was about to begin. I'm not going to purchase something for more money, when it is cheaper to produce.

Also as an interesting aside, I'm 19 and fairly certain I'll be a minority in regards to my purchasing habits when it comes to Music. Most people I know my age are a lot more open to digital products that I am. Then again there also a lot more open to piracy.

BradPJ commented on New Patch Released For Call of Duty: Black Ops...:

To be quite honest, this is currently my favorite game on the Wii U. Still being updated by developers (quite a number of changes have occurred in multiplayer to bring it up to feature parity with other version. i.e. 100 score limit on Kill Confirmed. More hardcore mode) is nice to see.

Also I didn't like many of the Call of Duty games (even multiplayer) after 4, only occasionally playing a friends copy. This iteration however, in my opinion, is one of the best for a while and the online play is awesome.

Always been interested in Mighty Switch Force but haven't downloaded it yet. I may buy it now, mainly because the game is held in high regard, but also to support the company, they probably could of charged for the extra 5 levels but offering it for free makes me respect them for doing so.

Ahh right. Yeah sorry, I thought you meant that the D-Pad was the forced way to play. But yeah to be honest I'd prefer to use the D-Pad for a side scrolling game but it is awfully positioned on the 3DS.

In fairness though I think the demo is pretty good, considering I haven't played any other version as I've been waiting for the 3DS version I'm pretty impressed. I think this will be a purchase for me.

BradPJ commented on Mario Kart 7 Update Available Now:

@Duney To be honest I also did the glitch, but only when I saw that every other player had done so, I'd hold back until I saw everyone attempting it, not too far behind mind or I've got no chance of catching up, but just enough to see whats happening. If one other player hadn't attempted it I would race it out with them. But I know exactly what you mean about doing it just to stay in the competition. There was no point in racing normally when every other player would do the glitch.

Saying that it was still amazingly annoying to play, as everyone choose that course. I don't quite understand why everyone always choose it however since everyone knew how to do glitch the anyway so it was still a level playing field. I'm so glad that they fixed it because now we get some variety in the courses.

BradPJ commented on Review: Game & Watch Gallery 2 (3DS eShop):

Massive nostalgia playing this game, I had quite a few Gameboy Colour games as a child but this is one of the most memorable, maybe because it is so easy to pick up and play, even as a kid, but very addictive.
