It was actually announced during E3 2009, so it's about six-seven months.
Also, I LOVE Greek mythology so this is very good news. I'd also like an RPG based off of Norse mythology by Nintendo so that Thor can become a playable character in the next Smash game.
Well, you heard it here first folks! Regardless of how great it is, a pet simulator CANNOT be that great.
Seriously though, I'm agreeing more with Kirk because at least he's willing to give reasons why it's good. You're simply saying that because it's part of the pet simulation genre it automatically makes it a seven.
I enjoyed the game when it came out, and actually got two versions. It was unlike any pet simulation game before it, and part of me says that it actually does deserve a 10. The other part of me says "GIVE IT A 2" since it started the pet simulation craze.
It was a great book but it was awfully cringe worthy every time he misspelled Shigeru Miyamoto as Sigeru Miyamoto. I read the first version of the book and later bought the 1999 revision, hoping and expecting that they changed it, but was surprised to see that it was still Sigeru.
I would be surprised if that were the case. Shigeru Miyamoto said that he HOPED to have a trailer ready by E3 2010. Who knows, though, especially since last year's business summit delivered a lot of news on big titles like Mario & Luigi 3, WarioWare DIY, Punch-Out!!, Endless Ocean 2 and, of course, the Nintendo DSi. And with the abcense of new hardware (probably!) they'll have to have at least one HUGE game announcement.
I agree that the long levels and eye straining graphics were a let down, but if they were to change that the game would be nearly perfect. Online leaderboards would have been a nice addition but it didn't really bother me at all.

Sorry for the double post, but after reading the interview is he suggesting that they're going to make a Metroidvania game?
