Beechbone commented on Hands On: Running Scared in Resident Evil Reve...:
I actually played only demo version of both the 3DS ooroginal and now the Wii U HD remaster. I was thoroughly impressed by 3DS version and came kinda disappointed by the remaster.
Why scanning doesn't utilize gyro controls? Why you can't play with Wii Remote Plus + Nunchuck combo? Why camera control feels so damn stiff and imprecise? Whe the textures are so washed out and ugly?
Rachel's awesome rack alone does not justify the asking price for me.
Maybe I'll finally pick up 3DS version, after all.

Beechbone commented on Those Wii U Launch Details Might be Coming in ...:
$250-$300, and November release would be optimal. I hope for Assassin's Creed III and Rayman Legends to be day one launch titles.

Beechbone commented on Wii U Controller Originally Had Proper Analogu...:
I imagine Circle Pads are better suited for such a wide and flat controller as the Wii U. You can hold it firmly in your hands instead of raising your thumbs all the time. Well, that's just a thought since I never touched the thing.

Beechbone commented on Pokémon Black & White Version 2 Announced:
It's all cool but pretty much everybody is waiting for that 3DS Pokemon. It would push hardware sales probably better than any other franchise but still there are more than 150 million DS consoles out there, and like 10 times less 3DS units. Maybe they're waiting for a big reveal at E3 or something alongside 3DS redesign?

Beechbone commented on Feature: 3DS and the Trend of Colourful Handhelds:
@Koto I envy your Mario GB Micro. I was even thinking about getting one of these lately but it's rather pricey these days.

Beechbone commented on Feature: 3DS and the Trend of Colourful Handhelds:
I really like my aqua blue 3DS but always they announce new color or special edition, I just go like 'hey, this one is the best color evaaar'. Every single time, I'm just hopeless
So far the Zelda edition was probably the one that I really loved, and I would like to see maybe a vintage, book-like, profesor Layton themed console.

Beechbone commented on Nintendo Senior Managing Director Nobuo Nagai ...:
That's pretty sad news.
#8
Beechbone commented on Kid Icarus: Uprising Will Use the Circle Pad Pro:
Stylus aiming is a lot more accurate and I don't know why there were so few first person games on the original DS except the great Metroid Prime Hunters, Moon, Dementium and couple of others. Yeah, how about Dementium 3DS?

Beechbone commented on Rumour: Wii U Heading for E3 Face-Off with PS4...:
I'd say it's not gonna happen. Nobody will buy a Kinect anymore if there's new Microsoft console coming on the horizon. And it seems PS3 hasn't been pushed to its limits yet, and Sony still have PS Vita to brag about the whole E3 conference. I'm super curious about Wii U, the price, actual games (maybe reveal of a launch lineup), and since it's fully backwards compatible with Wii maybe it will offer something like upscaling resolution of Wii games? On Xbox 360 at least on some games you get additional antialiasing for original Xbox games, and Nintendo is always kicking butt with backwards compatibility.

Beechbone commented on Review: Kirby & The Amazing Mirror (3DS Virtua...:
Oh well, it's Kirby anyway so I have some fun with it. Ambassador games reminded me how awesome some GBA games were like Wario Land 4, Metroid and Minish Cap. I hope they will bring GBA titles to regular eShop. I'd kill to play Castlevania GBA trilogy on my 3DS.

I remember playing Myst for the amzing atmosphere and punishing difficulty of its puzzles. I loved both.

Great news! More 3DS customers mean attention from developers, and that means more awesome games. A win-win situation for everybody.

Beechbone commented on Miyamoto Stepping Down Into Smaller Role:
Without a question one of the very best game designers of all time. It will be interesting to see how some of the biggest Nintendo franchises go on without him.

Beechbone commented on Capcom Committed to Monster Hunter in the West:
Well, I can always just get Tri for the Wii if the 3DS version doesn't come out in Europe. But MH 4 is a must have.

I'd like to keep him silent but I don't mind rest of the cast talking. Pretty much like in Oblivion or Skyrim where every character talks but not you.

Beechbone commented on Tetris 3DS Drops Into Europe on 21st October:
Tetris is a no brainer on 3DS. The ultimate puzzle game in 3D with some cool modes should provide some fun on the go. While it's no killer app, something like Tetris is inevitable on every device I guess.

Beechbone commented on Cut the Rope to Slice Up EU DSiWare on 22nd Se...:
@SennaKurosaki Good point about the redesign, but they always could just make it vertical on the bottom screen only, in a way games like Hotel Dusk or Rythm Heaven were handled.
#36
Beechbone commented on Cut the Rope to Slice Up EU DSiWare on 22nd Se...:
They will have to pack in a lot of cool content and super-sharp controls / visual presentation combo to justify the price compared to iOS release. If you own any iOS device, you will probably not need the DSi version or this uber cool game.
#37
Beechbone commented on Talking Point: The Future of No-Frills Emulati...:
More games the better! I just want to play some really cool games from past systems that are no longer available or hard to get, and to have a wide choice. I recently bought Chrono Trigger from VC for 900 points. Really no big money for such a brilliant game. The original snes cartridge goes for 50$ to as high as 200$ on Amazon. That's insane.
My point is, I just want Nintendo to release as many games they can, don't care about manual etc.

Beechbone commented on You're Not Alone in Finding the First Zelda So...:
Yeah, it's pretty hard, playing it a bit from time to time but I get frustrated all the time.
#39
Beechbone commented on These Are The 10 NES Ambassador Games in Japan:
I've seen somewhere around the net (sorry, forgot the exact source) info about rumored games for both NES and GBA. NES list looked very much alike (if not the same) and as for GBA they named things like Metroid Zero Mission, Pokemon Emerald and everyone's favourite Minish Cap! I was counting a bit for FF 6 Advance but I guess the original sells too well on Wii VC.

Beechbone commented on Rumour: Nintendo Readying Big Announcement Nex...:

#41
Beechbone commented on Rumour: Nintendo Readying Big Announcement Nex...:
Big announcement: end of production of 3DS... just kidding

I think it will be 3DS related not Wii U. Next home console is all about 2012, now's the time to boost 3DS sales and help this handheld fighting PS Vita. I wish Nintendo the very best

Beechbone commented on Wii U Won't Support Blu-ray or DVD Playback:
Sure I can play BD via my laptop but it'd be more convienent for me to have BD playback on a device that will be constantly connected to my display. Still, I copletely understand Nintendo and it won't affect my choice of buying Wii U.
#48
Beechbone commented on Take a Closer Look at the Wii U Console:
@4 I looks like it's pretty tiny judging by the disc drive. And that's awesome.
#49
Beechbone commented on Take a Closer Look at the Wii U Console:
@2 Yeah, but I guess it's because it's fully backwards compatible with Wii, and also it can use a combination of Wii U controller and Wiimotes for some multiplayer gaming. I don't think the Wii U controller itself will use sensor bar.
I wonder if there's a toslink out slot anywhere on the console? Maybe behind that cover on the front? This probably holds an SD card slot, but what else?

Beechbone commented on Rumour: Wii 2 to Cost $350, Support 3DTVs, Out...:
$350 is okay if it plays BD movies.
