Austroid is a fairly quiet dude who loves to draw, collect his favorite things immortalized in plastic, and of course play videogames. He hopes to one day work at Nintendo of America and become Reggie's apprentice. (Living 40 minutes away from NoA is a good start!)

I'm bummed the awesomeness that is the Light suit, is nothing more than a palette swap. :(

Its one of the few suits from the series that is an actual different suit, as opposed to a simple color change. Makes me wonder what actual alt. costumes Samus will have...

I like it! That little Metroid sidekick would definately of been a thing had there been such a show. :P

Its odd that pretty much every big name Nintendo franchise has had at least some kind of cartoon, besides Metroid and Star Fox. It'd be awesome to one day see Metroid on TV, or even as a live action movie...

Looks fairly interesting! All the Metroid talk has me hoping we hear of a new title in the works before Sync's release date. (Fingers crossed!)

@SecondServing You're kidding right? The Wii remote made playing games like Metroid Prime Trilogy, Red Steel 2, Resident Evil 4, and most FPSs released on Wii MUCH more intuitive, unique, and precise than traditional analog controls.

I'm glad Mii's are being added.

Who wouldn't want to be themselves and battle alongside (or against) their favorite characters? Then there's the unlimited possibilities of "who else you could use or make a Mii of to fight with?"

Austroid commented on Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's E3?:

Absolutely loved how Nintendo handled this year's E3!

The Digital Event was a much more relaxed, entertaining time than the awkward, more formal approach to the pre-recorded presentation from last year. I think this is the future of E3, and its for the better.

Amazing job Nintendo! :)

I'm glad I finally decide to get Abyss after leaving the DSiWare version on my wishlist for the longest time. I've gotta say its quite a challenging game! It took me gosh knows how many tries, just to get through level 1! But I love the minimalistic approach to the game's presentation, music, and gameplay. Its a great game at an insanely great value! :)

@Joshers744 I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so! SW fans are almost like the Sonic fanbase; a good amount is always displeased with every new game, TV show, comic, etc. They've both become a mess of a fandom; being split into dozens of subgroups.

Judging from a number of the newer comments, my suggestion to "hardcore" fans lightening up still stands.

At its core, Star Wars has always just been the six films. (like it or not PT haters, maybe lighten up too?) Nothing is really lost here; people will enjoy playing those games regardless of them being "canon" or not.

Austroid commented on Talking Point: Horror and Metroid Could be a P...:

I don't want Metroid to become an outright horror series; Its got its own style.

I liked that there was a creepiness and sense of horror that lingered around in most of the games, (always loved how you'd only hear Samus' metallic footsteps occasionally in the Prime games, without any music) it was kept at a minimum, yet was still very effective.

I say leave the series tone the way it is. Its something no other franchise out there has really replicated; save for added gore and grotesque imagery.

Nice to see some Prequel fans around here...

In all honesty, I'd take nearly any new Star Wars game if it were to come to Wii U or 3DS. Pinball is fun, but I want something with more substance now.

Hopefully those games in development that are inspired by the Batman Arkham games will be what we've been itching for.

That Direct was pure gold! I couldn't stop laughing the whole time! This game just looks like all sorts of crazy, random fun! I could see myself messing around for hours.

I might try and figure out how to get both this and the 3DS Smash Bros. now...

Still one of my top 5 games of all time! I've owned it for 10 years, and still find myself replaying through it! I still say this is the best Mario & Luigi entry; partially because it was the first of its kind. Also this was the first time we saw Luigi being a goofy, offbeat sidekick before it was the norm.

If you ask me, Cackletta >>> Fawful :P

Austroid commented on Review: Rusty's Real Deal Baseball (3DS eShop):

I'm loving this so far, its a very unique experience. I think a huge reason is that its a baseball game, something I rarely play unless its got Mario on the cover. The haggling mechanic is a nice, intriguing way of getting you to buy more mini-games. I'm defiantly going to get the Umpire one; gotta love telling someone they're "out," right? :P

Also I find Rusty to be a lovable, sympathetic character and hope to see more of him in the future! :)

I feel like the whole Direct will just be showing us minor gameplay additions, changes, etc. "Now X item does this, unlike previous entries in the series!" "You will now be able to do X and Y with this move, unlike previous entries." I hope I'm wrong though.

Probably the best things that'll come out of it are a newcomer, more returning veterans revealed, and hopefully a release date.

Sonic Boom; because its something unexpected.

I know Smash Bros. 4 and Mario Kart 8 will be great games, and I know I'll be getting them. But Sonic Boom is an interesting one, and I'm very excited to hear more about it.

I own Superstar Saga (my favorite Mario spin-off title) and Metroid Fusion (the better of Sakamoto's work with a narrative-heavy Metroid, IMO) in their original cartridge forms.

I don't really see any reason to buy them again.
