Excellent review, spot on.

The only thing that bothered me in this game is the shoulder view scenes (WAY too slow) and the few ones where you're forced in 1st person view to find something. Oh, and the way you get upgrades. Come on, there had to be a better way.

Apart from that I disagree with people complaining about Samus' character and the missile and health charge. What's the big deal to recover your health and missiles focusing like that? Like someone said here, finding energy containers and missiles inside monsters is just as awkward, if not more.
The story may be a bit cheesy but in my opinion it added an interesting character depth and it develops really well as you progress in the game. The controls are a bit difficult at first but when you get used to it the combats get really exciting and fast, with awesome new moves.

I loved the cinematographic feel of the game, not only because of the cutscenes but also the camera angles and things that happen unexpectedly while you're playing.

It's a shame their games never had a big audience, I became an instant fan after playing Hotel Dusk and have been following them ever since. I really hope they can survive this somehow and continue making games, even if its not for Nintendo consoles.

That's really sad, I have both of them and I loved the improvements done in Bash Party. There were so many new tools and levels that I'm still playing it today and I'm far from completing it. The only thing I have to agree is that the Bash Party's menu layout was a major step down, I hated the fact that the stages were organized by theme and not by tools like in the first one.

I loved Bit Trip Core, can't understand why people hate it.
Void is just as good as the other two, excellent game. The only thing that bored me a little is the difficulty, this one is way easier than the previous titles, even not considering the checkpoints.

@Zyzzybalubah (that was hard...)
Exactly! Wind Waker is in my opinion one of the best Zelda games, just as good as OoT and LttP. I can't understand why so many people complained about it.

I just hope that this change they are talking about is something big, Zelda is getting so repetitive and I remember some time ago Miyamoto saying that the new game would not be much different.

Hurry up E3 2010!!!

@Raven:

That part of the game was for me one of the hardest, it didn't make any sense at all. You have to find a specific spot with the Seach Tool. Then do something there...

Now I saw that the post is from17 Oct...if you haven't figured it out until now (and I hope not, otherwise I doubt you would still play the game, lol) there's my tip.

I have finally beaten Growth!!!!!! WAHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! I was already convinced that I'd never finish the game, lol.
That last boss is insane, my other hand had to lend some help controlling another paddle...is that cheating?

@BleachFan888
The bouncing beats are definitely the most annoying ones, lol.

These figures look really cool. I love this game and I'm still playing it since it's release, lol.
I can't beat all hard levels! I get stuck for weeks in some of them!

Andor commented on Nintendo Life Exclusive - Bit.Trip Core E3 Tra...:

I think the level's length is fine, it's what makes the game so challenging and extends it's playtime!
Maybe a training mode for specific parts or codes to open other levels would work best in my opinion...

Let me see if got this right, the bug is that the next level should open even if you didn't get a highscore?

I can't stop playing this game, it's so addictive! It's a shame there are no information at all if it will be released in the US.

@maka - Rittai Picross has already lots of online puzzles to download!

Andor commented on Review: Bit.Trip: Beat (WiiWare):

I had to register just to leave my comment here, what a fantastic game!

It's one of the only really hard games that doesn't make me mad and frustrated, I just want to rest a little and then go back to finish that damn level! I'm stuck at the end of Descent, those bouncing squares drive me insane and instead of hitting them I keep evading, lol.
Can't imagine how I'm going to beat Growth...

What I really miss above anything is a training mode just like fixjuxa (105) said, that would be awesome. Everything else is perfectly fine for me, incredible game!
