Shovel Knight is so overrated.....I honestly don't get the hype for that game. it's good but not that amazing. Certainly not enough to warrant a roster spot. :/

Personally I want either Ice Climbers back because the game kinda feels empty without them or the Inkling since Splatoon needs way more love.

It seems like a good compromise between going completely third party smartphone and sticking on dedicated hardware. I'm fully for this actually. So long as Nintendo's hardware stays as the primary outlet for games, and smartphone games serve as a a secondary platform that enhances these games, I can only see this being a good thing for Nintendo.

CGI and 2D animation would be the way to go for most of Nintendos IPs since they are cartoony themselves. I for one could never imagine a live action Kirby. Only Nintendo franchises with a realistic feel such as Metroid, F-Zero or The Legend of Zelda should get the live action treatment.

@thejfh1999 The story mode is absolute luck. You can literally run out of dice in five turns if you're unlucky enough. Limited dice supply? Really? Why is that a thing? most of the time you have to go around completing tasks for people but that is such an unnecessary challenge because of the limited amount of movements you can do. The mini games come rarely and when they do they're short and boring. There's not a single memorable one in the bunch. Also, the lack of multiplayer which has always been Mario Party's strongest asset, is barely there. There's so little do to and you can't even set up a standard party if you want. It's just driving around hoping to not run out of gas. This game is terrible and is NOT Mario Party.

I'm sorry but this looks ugly as sin. The environments look okay but the character models have waaaay too much shine to them and they are totally expresionless making them seem dead. Not to mention, Mario's walk cycle is ripped straight from the original game so it looks really awkward in HD. I know it's a work in progress, but you should never show unfinished work. That's just sloppy.

If this is true, then it's one of the stupidest marketing moves Nintendo has ever done. The game hasn't even been out for a MONTH and they're already discontinuing figures? I'm sorry but that just doesn't make any damn sense. If this is really true.....then they've really lost it.

@Einherjar Actually yes, those are just hunks of pastic that you'll only use once and never again! Great example! Oh and on top of that, they weren't eighty freaking dollars.

And Nintendo clearly stated that the adapter will only work with Smash Wii U. They ruled out and possible usage for future games. it's ONLY for Smash. You can't even navigate the Wii U menu with it.

Nintendo....are you kidding me? Those adapters had SO much potential but it's all wasted being exclusive to Smash. No Virtual Console, no optional future use, no backwards compatibility to GCN games; they're hunks of junk as it is. NOW you won't make more? Nintendo I love you, but some of the decisions you make are really bone-headed sometimes.

It's really baffling to see people getting upset for having to buy both versions. Yeah it does cost a lot of money but since it's reveal at E3 2011, (Back when development hadn't even started) Iwata and Sakurai alluded that buying both versions had the best benefits. You can transfer fighters, you have exclusive modes, you have more controller options, the 3DS version you can take on the go and play Smash WHEREVER YOU WANT, the Wii U version you have a ton more modes and options to play. the player having both versions so that they could interact with each other is a vision Sakurai has from the start and if you don't see the value in it, especially now since you'll be getting a long awaited returning veteran, I don't know what to tell you.

@MikeLove Actually yes you are the dumb one. Of COURSE the Wii's not as popular as it used to be. The console is a generation old. It's not a shadow of it's former self, it's just not a current console. And the Wii is still being manufactured and promoted (Sadly. I dont think that's a good thing) Same way the PS3 isn't a current console. Sony isn't promoting it anymore. Would you argue that console is still just as popular as it was five years ago? That would be damn impressive if it was. Would you call that a former shadow of itself? What about the PS2? Sony stopped making those in 2012. My point is, of course the Wii isn't as popular anymore but to attempt to invalidate the impact it's had on the industry is just foolish.

So It's an insult, dont kid yourself. If you're blind enough to deny that, I don't know what to tell you. Nintendo never says anything like that to the competition. All Nintendo said was that their console was a better offer. They didn't go out of their way to insult the PS4, they just stated their advantages. It's not what you say it's how you say it. What Sony said was unnecessary and childish. They put down their competitors because they have nothing unique or compelling to offer themselves.

@MikeLove Al Sony ever does is insult and put down the competition. Nintendo puts confidence in their system by saying: "Hey here's what we got! Here's why we think it's better!" But Sony? They feel the need to mindlessly insult everyone.

Tell me, did you read THIS:

I'd like it to continue with the innovation stream I just talked about, but also what we want to see in the next year or two is a bigger mass market play, shall we say. So in order to broaden and perhaps fill the void that's being left latent by, say, the Wii - which is a shadow of its former self. We need to have the kind of product that will engage that more casual consumer. I think that's a big opportunity for us, and that's not yet clear on the horizon, but something we should and I'm sure will be focused on as we look forward into year two, three and four.

Throwing insults back is not good here either -Lz

Sorry Sony, the 3DS has a superior game library by MILES. The Wii U has the most unique titles out of all of the current consoles. I love how Professionally Nintendo treats their competition and then Sony takes the ten year old route by slinging insults. It's quite obnoxious really. That attitude doesnt make me want to buy PS4. Arrogance is not a good trait to have.

@Kaze_Mayru Uh yeah right. No over powered characters? Sheik and Falco say hello. Samus in Smash 64 was considered low tier so thats inconsistent with your opinion. Mario and Kirby were the powerhouses to that game. As for floaty controls? That;'s over exaggerating. It was slow, not floaty and there's nothing wrong with slow. In fact, I say it's better because its slow because you can actually see what your doing. Random tripping wasn't as bad as people claim it to be, another over exaggeration. Wave dashing and L Canceling say hello to chain grabs. And if you're going to sue the competitive scene to measure the validity of Smash games, you're playing it the wrong way. Competitive Smash is NOT what Smash Bros is supposed to be. Even so, Brawl's competitive scene was just as lively as Melee's and many people prefer it's gameplay such as myself.

Melee is far dated, far overrated and is not as balanced as you think. Smash Wii U and 3DS are much better balanced than all of them and is the best balanced to date. Melee is not as good as you think it is.

@OneBagTravel Are you joking?! Zelda's story is one of its biggest strengths. I love Skyward sword partly because of its story. As for Mario, he barely has any story as is. Super Mario Galaxy 1 is the star example of how a story should be told in Mario games. Being present but not in your face or overdone. I think Nintendo games need more story honestly. But it needs to be presented in the right way.

@SCAR392 I've played Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 and I must say, the control in those games is much better (with Sonic at least) and for one reason. The Parkour system. The Parkour system is the most broken gameplay mechanic I've ever had to deal with. Why? Because Parkouring and running are the same damn button. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to run away from something only to have Sonic run up a wall I don't want him to and die because you can't cancel parkour in the middle of it. The developers had SO many buttons they could've used for this but they just HAD to make both functions the same button. Yeah that's smart. Also Sonic falls really fast and hard making the vertical platforming segments a complete chore. Sonic's targeting system is also completely biased because sometimes the red icon just doesn't appear. It just doesn't and you end up homing attacking off the stage like an idiot. On top of that there are some enemies you have to homing attack while others you have to kick but the game doesn't make a distinction on what enemies to kick and which to homing attack so it's very confusing. It's so user hostile and it's not fun to play at all. I despise Sonic Lost World with a burning passion because its controls are just unacceptable. Especially when you consider Sonic Adventure, a game that's heavily flawed actually does it better and the fact that it's a follow up to Sonic Colors, a game that's considered one of Sonic's best. It sucks on all accounts.
