AcesHigh73 commented on Developer Interview: Uncade's David Byers Talk...:

Man, this looks soooo up my alley. Having really enjoyed a couple of their iOS games, Blast Ball and Kid Vector, I consider myself a fan of Uncade's work. However, as I tend to do 90% of my gaming on my handheld systems (Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, Playstation Vita, and iPad), alas I have no aspirations of getting a WiiU and will likely miss out. That is of course, unless Uncade bring Another Castle to 3DS, Vita or iOS. Or perhaps even all three!? Well, here's hoping. I've always liked to support talented smaller studios by grabbing my favourite indie games on multiple platforms (console, handheld, iOS, PC etc), so I'd potentially buy Another Castle for 3+ systems!

AcesHigh73 commented on Review: Johnny Impossible (3DS eShop):

Oh, and one more thing; despite it's ridiculous price tag, I really enjoyed UFO's utterly addictive Balloon Pop Remix too! Samurai Sword Destiny however, was very possibly the worst eShop title I've ever bought.

AcesHigh73 commented on Review: Johnny Impossible (3DS eShop):

I personally really enjoyed Johnny Kung Fu, and consequently got a good deal of mileage from it! However, I avoided the awful Johnny Hotshot like the plague, and - thanks in part to this review - will do likewise with Johnny's third 3DS outing.

AcesHigh73 commented on Review: Pokédex 3D Pro (3DS eShop):

Yup, completely agree with @BenAV. If this was say, £5.40 (max), I'd snap it up for sure. But I just can't justify such a whopping price tag. Particularly so with the likes of Fallblox, HydroVenture, NightSky, Dempa Men, and Crimson Shroud due to hit the EU eShop in the coming weeks!

AcesHigh73 commented on Feature: The Rik Mayall Nintendo Adverts You T...:

Rik May Mayall is the quintessential 80-90's British comedian. As well as Bottom, The Young Ones and The New Statesman were particularly good.

Bottom was my favourite though! Who remembers the Gas Man episode?! Epic! Eddie Hitler once said that Richard Richard was "simply known as the c..." Gold. Just pure gold.

AcesHigh73 commented on Nintendo Hypes 'eShop Heroes' in New Trailer:

Yup, I too have all these. But to echo KaiserGX:

WHERE IS SAKURA SAMURAI??

Do Nintendo actually plan to bring it to the European eShop? Still waiting on Cave Story+ too for that matter. And Night Sky...

AcesHigh73 commented on LostWinds Developer Expands In North America:

A LostWinds 3DS edition would rock. I'd have thought that the eShop whould have been a perfect platform for a handheld edition?! I bought LostWinds on WiiWare and iOS (both iterations of the franchise), but would still love a 3D version. Wadda'ya say Frontier???

AcesHigh73 commented on Commodore 64 Celebrates 30th Birthday:

Oh man, what great memories. And you're right, boy do I feel old (well, I'm 40 next birthday so I suppose I am). As well as the utterly epic C64, I also owned a ZX Spectrum, Acorn Electron and an Amstrad 128 (the one with the built-in cassette player) during the eighties. Of course I also had the ubiquitous Atari ST before any of those. My brother and I used to play pong on the Atari at our Nans caravan in the school holidays. Yep, I am bloody old aren't I..?!?!
