my issue isnt with dkr getting a sequel, its with two things. 1. console platformers have dynamic cameras and its nothing new. this game would have shined on the 3ds as the platformers released for the handheld have been pretty flat as far as camera is concerned. 2. retro already laid the groundwork with dkr so this game could have been handled by a different studio entirely. I love me some Metroid but an original retro ip released in 2013 would have gone a great length to salvage the bait and switch Nintendo pulled with the wii u. they wanted hardcore gamers to flock to the system but then pad the holiday season with "casual" titles, even 3d world Mario went casual and imo should be on the 3ds as well. and bonus gripe! dk is pretty furry in this title, but so was fox in adventures. and he looks pretty damn furry in smash so don't go boasting about it.
regardless ill probably pick this up as theres not much else I am looking forward too.

Why the two month delay if they arent adding anything other then hd visuals, which arent as smooth and refined as the initial screenshots suggested and a speed up button for sailing? Total missed opportunity but that seems to be a running theme with nintendo.

The timeline came into being with OoT. Its rumoured that you were originally to explore past present and future rezulting in the three way split but along the way they cut out one of the times.
Regardless the timeline is just cherry on top of great characters gameplay and music.

@sinalefa sort of disappointed that more of the mainstays from the smash series aren't being given movesets that reflect their portable adventures. hopefully they'll open the roster to sakurai, Dillon and mallo. 1 of the 3 would suffice to recognize the strides Nintendo made with the eShop.

Iwata gave an interesting comment to ign and not sure if they made an error or if it was a mistranslation but he indicated smash 3ds is a 2013 release. So will the two versions release seperately?

I agree that brawl was better but then again ive only had the trip occur twice in the many years ive played it and neither time did it hinder the match. I was going to lose or win regardless.

Love me some Myamoto but he's delusional if he thinks Nintendo's goals are to keep games in gamers hands when their own method of digital distribution prevents me from maintaining my games if something happens to say my 3ds. Even sending in for repairs to Nintendo may cause permanent loss of games. Sigh. I was hoping theyd touch on the issue at E3 but whatever, ride the Microsoft bashing bandwagon.

I feel mario 3d world and dk tropical breeze should have been 3ds titles seeing as regardless of the dynamic camera in dk its still a "flat" image and 3d world's viewpoint is better served in stereoscopic 3d. @DannyGamer2027 i have a suspicion its built on a modified smg engine. The graphics are very similar and the physics seem the same. However that would be awesome.

Whats really disappointing is that nintendo isnt also utilising the eshop for these demos. E3 would be awesome for nintendo IMO if you could witness the nintendo direct spectacle on your wii u then try the demoes on the eshop from your wii u. Maybe next year...
with having a job its not really practical to drive over an hour out of my way to find the nearest best buy let alone a participating one. I WANT to try these demos. My complaint is the means of distribution. People demanding others to grow up should realize projection is the sincerest form of delusion there is.

@AJWolfTill hopefully the two screens would give 2it viewpoints. One a closeup and the other full view of battle. Not being able to see what your competition is up to would hinder gameplay. Imagine not seeing your opponent carrying a bombomb because they arent in sight or if you couldnt see someone edge gaurding because the camera was focused on you off stage.

New blood brings new life to ips so as long as the torch is passed to someone awesome im not concerned.

@Yrreiht im there with you. I have no doubt the wii u vers will be awesome but the 3ds vers is more concerning to me. Perhaps if they use smaller stages. Cant wait for the reveal tho!

@Nintendude789 but arena battlers like ki dont zoom out as your character is always front and center. If brawl were on 3ds at times your character may only be a few pixels tall.

@RevolverLink im hoping they use a tag system for the 3ds vers or limit it to 2 player combat due to the small screen.

Also im curious to see how they handle the 3ds vers. That cartoon network punch kick whatever game proved to me that 4 player brawling on the handheld isnt ideal as the camera can't showcase the action properly.

Lets not forget that pokemon made the jump to mobiles. Not a game but pokedex pro and the anime are available as apps. I could see nintendo doing more with mobile gaming with flipnote.

Statements like these are a testament to the quality of nintendo's ips. You rarely hear anyone calling for sony's or micro's ips to be released on competing devices. Sony's financial situation is worse off then nintendos. Tho i could be wrong since i havent fact checked in a few months.

99 cents isnt going to break the bank, i havent seen anyone say that 99 cents is expensive. Wanting it for free doesnt mean people cant afford it. I have no problem paying Id just rather pay for the app for the convenience then having to add 99 cents for the month. Hopefully they offer a year subscription option and better detail this so a 9yryear old wont have to relay this info to their parent.

Graphically the game is too plastic like which turned me off. I plan on completing it one day but mh3u has my full attention at the moment.

Id rather pay for the app and have free reign online then the other way around. These terms are fine for those with our own bank accounts but explaining them to nongaming parents might be off putting for most. Id pay upwards of 10the bucks for the app with lifetime online service included.

for the record i have been gaming since i was 2 yrs old and i dont game on any smartphone device. the game was never worth $5+ and its a stretch at 5 even. played multiplayer and while its better then single, its still shallow.

the game is so simple in execution and presentation it really should be at $2. the demo, like most demos incidently, informed me to skip it.

Considering the eshop is capable of handling demoes i fail to see why they arent also going that route for e3. I get if you dont own the console it would be nice to try all the awesome games before you buy but i already own wii u. @Dreamcaster-X no this is a standalone title. The dlc version bolts onto the original game. The boxed version contains only super luigi u. I'm thinking a boxed version containing both nsmbu and super luigi u will be a discount option in 2014

I didnt care for colors generations or unleashed. Hopefully lost world will leave the gimmicks behind. I did enjoy the black knight tho so my tastes of sonic games is a tad off.

i too agree that the visuals need more oomph. however, this game has another 6 months before its out. thatsvplenty of time to pollish. i'm partial to four swords adventure's filter myself.
