One of my favorite games on 360, can't wait to play Full Body.
This game seems so bizarre, yet interesting. Will definitely pick it up on launch.
By the way... Seems the new Ys game is coming to Switch! @ryancraddock

I still can't believe that Atlus took space at New Game Plus Expo just for this trailer.... they definitely know how to troll (it was really underwhelming)
I'm going to wait for the demo first before pre ordering.
I am currently playing this game on my Vita. It was only released in the Japan, but someone ripped the English cutscenes and voices from the PS4 game and patched them into the Japanese Vita version. The text was also converted to English. It's a crazy mammoth task that only the quarantined can accomplished.
Cool for fans or people who never played it I guess. Personally I felt satisfied with my experience in the original PS3 version, not really a game I feel a need to have on my Switch.
@danemord Yeah I don't why Atlus would waste time talking about an game that came out last year on the PS4 which tons of people have played already. We honestly didn't need anymore trailers or info for this game.
Glad to see more meaningful support from Atlus.
Hopefully it's not censored
Yeah, not getting this for obvious reasons
@IanC14 What obvious reasons?
Let's hope Atlus will have more Switch support in the future. I just gathered up all the MegTen games on PS2 and it's silly how much I want to play them in handheld.
@SquallLeonhart86 My guess is it's not. It includes the DLC from the ps4 version, and amongst that is an item that lets you see people in their undies.
@Losermagnet That's good news. I am considering getting it
If you really like puzzle/ interactive story games do yourself a favor and pick this up. You won't regret it.
@Rpg-lover I second this comment. I love that it's a story that has adults as the main characters instead of high schoolers. That they're trying to reconcile what they want out of life makes it very relatable.
Never played Catherine, so I'm pretty excited to try this. I'd like to play the demo first to make sure the port is up to snuff, though. Hopefully that releases soon.
Never got around to playing this on PS3 or Vita, gladly support any Atlus titles on Switch though.
@Joker1234 oh it got worst their 30 minute slot during the new game +Expo was all this game, nothing else, no dev talks, nothing about the season 2 dlc of project diva which was just announced in the Japanese stream, no Sonic, nothing about a localization for Scramble, just constantly hearing “edge” and “undo” ._. Which had the opposite effect because really not interested now.
Im definitely gonna get this one!
Cant say the controversy this game has is really gonna affect my purchase, especially after hearing its been started by ResetEra.
When will Persona 5 Scramble get a localization Atlus?
Of all that Atlus could’ve announced they went with a trailer for a game that’s about to come out in under 2 weeks?! Could’ve done some SMT 5 news or P5R switch reveal instead.
@Ardisan Yeah ResetEra is the ultimate sjw echo chamber. They find everything offensive.
@mousieone Yeah I saw their 30 minute slot and immediately stopped watching as soon as Catherine gameplay started to begin lol. Why would anyone care to watch someone play Catherine Full Body on twitch when you can watch the same exact thing on YouTube. Atlus just came for snacks and nothing more.
@Joker1234 Agrees. Plus this is not a good game to watch someone play let alone someone who really didn’t know how to play ._. That’s 30 minutes of my life I can’t get back.
@ReaperExTenebris As someone who leans towards it not being transphobic - I can totally agree with what you're saying. Let's keep the comments section civil please(famous last words?).
@mousieone i didnt watch the stream but i can see how catherine would have really boring gameplay to watch. It's basically M rated pushmo.
@SquallLeonhart86 That'll show those "alphabet people"!!!1!
Thanks for not showing anything related to Shin Megami Tensei yet again, Atlus. I hope whoever gets this game enjoys it.
@mousieone We already had Catherine Full Body announced for the Switch in the Mini direct I didn't need to see the game announced again or receive two more trailers for this game.
I'm a little surprise we didn't even get news about the Persona 5 Scramble localization.
@Ralizah Same here. I loved Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal and I still need more of it.
@Joker1234 well it’s also not a new game., so I can’t stop agreeing with you. Like all this attention to a game that is older and has a very small audience on the Switch given it’s M rating.
@Losermagnet well maybe they should have halved the game play between Catherine and Persona 4 Golden which just released on Steam. I just don’t think this was a great game to show off. If I was vaguely interested in the game that has completely dried up. I just don’t know why they thought that was a great idea for that showcase.
@Losermagnet exactly. Glad you're onboard with my opinion.
I guess Persona 5S is still waiting to get translated then
@AshenLion Yeah right.
If you've always wanted to play Q*bert as a half sheep man then this might be the game for you - otherwise, don't bother.
The so called 'mature' story is misogynistic clap trap of the worst kind. Avoid.
@Jaguar_Wong hey i often cosplay as half sheep-man Q*bert. Great conversation starter.
It's Atlus so I want to love this, but the gameplay just doesn't excite me. I can enjoy the odd puzzle game or so, but I don't think I can endure a whole game of it. It's well done for what it is, but it's definitely not a game that I think is for me. C'mon Scramble.
Q*bert was awesome 30 years ago though.
@Ralizah There’s a demo on the Japanese eshop, and although it’s not very helpful from a story point of view (as there’s no English option), it gives you a decent chunk of gameplay to see if you like how it plays.
I say I’m tired of Atlus and their archaic business practices, but I can’t help chasing rereleases and special editions. Their games are top tier.
@personauser93 I'm in the same spot. I already own Catherine on PS4, but I would rebuy just about any release on Switch. Atlus must not like money
@GameOtaku Better yet. Why even bother participating? Not even Sega bothered to show up despite being included in the schedule
I really dig visual novels in the vein of the zero series or hotel dusk. Is this anything like that?
@Wolf_Link Kind of but not really...closer to zero escape than hotel dusk. Check out some gameplay videos of the tower climbing sections because the gameplay is divided into narrative sections and then tower climbing. It's much more fun than it looks, but it could be a deal breaker.
You'll probably dig the narrative. It's a bit darker with some horror elements. It focuses mostly on the main character's love life and personal growth, but it may make you question some things about yourself too. As someone who LOVES 999, I really enjoyed Catherine.
@Entrr_username
Technically Sega was there as they own Atlus. It just seems odd they only showed off a game that’s coming out in a little over a week that we’ve known was coming for several months. Same with River City Girls and the Mighty Switch Force collection.
@RPGamer I would shake that directors hand
@RPGamer For the sake of conversation I wanted to say that I never felt like Erica was shamed in the story. Sure, some friends she's known for a long time talk to her like jerks....but her friends are a huge bunch of jerks. Vincent in particular, hence his predicament in the events of the game. But being a cisgender male my perspective and knowledge is limited.
But (and i'll try really hard to avoid spoilers so dont read the rest of this sentence of you want to keep things secret...) I'm surprised I only ever hear people talk about Erica. It makes me feel like people havent played the game. Thats all i'm gonna say about that so far.
And I welcome any constructive discussion. At the very least you can say that Catherine got us talking more about this subject.
@Collette That's been my impression too, more or less. Respectfully, Erica is a minor character that doesn't matter much in the overall scheme of things. She's "part of the gang", so her friends speak to her informally.
I feel like the fiction here is fine as is. Is it tasteful or tactful? Heck no! Did i mention that you get a pair of glasses that lets you see everybody in their underwear?
Wait, the trailer confuses me. By the box art of these Catherine games, I thought they were point and grope hentai intended for people that want to have sex with underage drawings?
@robr it's suppose to be provocative. It gets the people going.
It's actually about a couple of 30 somethings that are having relationship issues. Also there's murder.
@RPGamer I get it - it's certainly questionable. The game director's track record is pretty iffy too. I've only watched the Persona 4 anime but it seems like they really bungled Kanji's character. In my head cannon he's a gay man coming to terms with his sexuality, but i guess...he's...not?
@RPGamer Yup. Sometimes video games are really dumb.
@RPGamer Np. Sorry if I came across as hostile
