The latest entry in Nihon Falcom's action RPG series has been announced for the West with a "2021" release date attached. Ys IX: Monstrum Nox launched in Japan last year but gamers in the West have been waiting for more solid details on the English-language release. Fortunately, publisher NIS America kindly obliged with a trailer as part of the NGPX broadcast.

The last announcement of the 45-minute showcase, there's no firm date on the launch just yet. Here are some more details from the PR blurb, plus a handful of screenshots:

Renowned adventurer Adol Christin is cursed by a mysterious woman and becomes a Monstrum, a powerful being who can exorcise monsters. To escape from the city of Balduq, he must ally with five other Monstrum, each with their own unique Gifts, and stop the Grimwald Nox, a shadowy dimension that threatens to seep into the real world.
