GungHo Online Entertainment's Splatoon-like online action title Ninjala will offer a single-player story mode, it has been revealed – but unlike the main part of the game, it will not be free-to-play.
Details on what will be included in this solo campaign aren't available at present, but it has been confirmed that the DLC will cost 1100 yen (around $10). However, for a limited period in Japan, it will retail for 495 Yen ($4.60). It will feature exclusive story content, battles and characters not included in the free-to-play portion of the game.
Ninjala launches on June 24th, 2020. The paid-for DLC will apparently arrive the following day.

Since it's a free to play game and the cost is really reasonable I might bite. Since the last Splatfest, my attentions are elsewhere. ☺️

For a free game, $10 for a single player mode isn't exactly unfair. The only consideration I suppose would be length/enjoyment. Will a single player mode be fun or something unremarkable?
sure I will pay $10 for a good story mode, the game itself is good I also loved the beta.
That's pretty reasonable. I'm guessing that it's just the multiplayer mode with AI opponents and team members though, as opposed to a dedicated story mode or campaign.
Who can complain about free multiplayer and paid story mode? usually we don't get multiplayer at all without paying for a story mode

If it's decent then sounds good. Didn’t enjoy Splatoon 2’s campaign, it felt just like the first but was just less interested in seeing it through.

That's a great price. May try out the single player story if the multi-player is good enough.

It's 10 dollars. If it's a fun game, I have no problem paying for the single player campaign to support the developers. I'd love if they release a physical edition eventually.

Wow this is actually a really smart idea! Multiplayer is free but the single player is paid DLC is a really fair and reasonable trade. Though i do feel bad for them in a sense cause if you think about it, all their work and effort on this game's story mode could be as massive and amazing as a 60 dollar game and just because of the price alone people wouldn't buy it because is DLC, so they are forced to sell it very cheap just to be able to get a profit, hopefully it goes well for them cause so far this game has been really fun to play and well worth it.

$10 is indeed a fair price for the story DLC, though hopefully this doesn't mean it's on the shorter side.
