There's been evidence of Journey to the Savage Planet coming to the Nintendo Switch for some time now, and today 505 Games have finally made it official. Not only has it been confirmed for the hybrid device, but it's also out today (worldwide) on the Switch eShop. Well, everywhere but Russia, which will receive the game on 28th May.

If you would prefer a physical release, it'll be appearing in-store next month on 25th June. Indivisible is receiving the same treatment. Here's the official announcement:

Journey to the Savage Planet is a sci-fi adventure first-person shooter requiring you to explore an uncharted planet to see if it's fit for human colonization. You can play the game solo or online with a friend, and the game requires 2.3 GB of free space.

This sudden release follows on from Nintendo's own surprise reveal of Paper Mario: The Origami King last week.

Earlier this week, we also heard about how Nintendo had supposedly told its development partners with "big" announcements to not wait around for the next Direct, as it had no plans "at all" right now.

Do you think this game was planned for a Direct? Will you be downloading it or purchasing a physical copy? Tell us below.
