This Nintendo Switch Dock Looks Just Like A Mini GameCube, Comes With Four Controller Ports

Bit steep but oh so tempting.

But are these things still bricking Switch consoles?

Dang. Was hoping it actually played GC titles too. Would gladly pay $100 for such a gizmo.

@Not_Soos as someone who just wants a good second dock for travel, I'm wondering the same thing, this one being kinda low profile looking makes it super interesting if it doesn't pull a poison apple and turn my Switch into Snow White

Have 4 ports to hookup would make this more appealing and not Bricking is another thing. They should warranty it against Bricking Switch to pay to replace if that happens.

I believe later Cube controllers use USB ports

Why did they choose to orient both of the the Gamecube controller ports 90 degrees? That looks odd and could seemingly damage your controller.

@RupeeClock that was my initial thought. Not only that but to have 8 players using GameCube controllers, you still need two GameCube adapters plugged into the two USB ports. So struggling to see the real appeal of this product aside from odd aesthetic.

There are literally only two GameCube ports. What the hell are you guys on about with this title.

Hopefully the voltage on this dock's pins are not too high. That was why so many switch's were bricking. That or not enough resistance on them. Tomato/tamato

This looks cool and I would be interested - save for all those old stories about 3rd party docks bricking Switches.

For the fear of bricking my Switch means I will never get these.

@retro_player_77 me too. I'm not buying something that has a probability of breaking my switch.

If there wasn't the slightest chance my switch would brick using this i'd buy one for $55, sure. a second official dock will set me back £80, and having this on my desk rather than my official dock and the WiiU GC adapter with cables everywhere would be awesome... Just a shame about that small matter of, you know, bricking.

See, I usually trust Brook (At least for their overexpensive, super limited controller adapters), but between how notorious 3rd Party Docks have been for bricking Switches and how notorious 3rd Party GameCube controller adapters (Outside of Mayflash's and Hitbox's) have been for literally eating GameCube controller plugs... That's going to be a hard no from me...

Additionally, I spot a clear lack if a back USB port for the almighty LAN Adapter, so that makes it even more difficult than with the original Switch Dock to actually have a shot at playing online

@Not_Soos Only if you don't use the proper AC adapter. Turns out that was the major issue the whole time, using the AC adapters that came bundled with these devices instead of ones made specifically for the Switch. Consequently, none of these things sold seem to come with AC adapters anymore.
