First of all I despise teaser-advertising, and Platinum are only bloody well teasing their sodding teasers!

I wish all devs would clamp up until they've actually got anything of substance to show. No teasers, no teaser-teasers, no mysterious announcements, no puzzles.

I love Platinum Games, I really do. But I think we're all in danger of hearing a little too much from them at the moment... if indeed that point hasn't already been reached.

I love that platinum does this. It’s good indicator that they are thriving and having fun. Everyone just relax. Highly doubt you’ll skip a big game because you didn’t like an April fools joke

They are just starting a long con for next years April Fools. I am soured to their whole secret reveal nonsense.

I’d really love an Astral Chain 2 logo or a Capcom collab + Viewtiful Joe or Okami sequel announcement. I’d be happy for a Bayonetta 3 release date and teaser. I’d be good with a Viewtiful Joe 1&2 remaster or DLC announcement.

But honestly, I’m good either way. Excited to dig into the Wonderful 101 remaster this month!

The day of jokes is over, then everyone should be calm now; In addition, Platinum Games has developed great games, they have done it with a lot of quality, and just for a "joke" and many people took it very seriously and negatively, not even a joke is allowed here...

This whole Platinum 4 campaign has been so stupid and incredibly underwhelming. And the April Fool's joke was even more stupid. I'm honestly tired of hearing about any of it.

I figured they had something else up their sleeve. I won't hazard a guess right now; I'm one who keeps their expectations in check. XD

@SakuraHaruka Platinum isn't that great though. You'd have to be a huge fan of Bayonetta and Wonderful 101 in order to think that Platinum Games is even in the top 10 lmao.

If their games were as great as hipsters say they are then why don't they sell well? These talentless hacks were given one of the greatest IPs of all time, Star Fox, and did a lousy job with it. Now they're begging people for money. Why would I want to buy a port of a bad game like Wonderful 101 when I could be buying an amazing first party exclusive instead?

The only thing that could possibly make up for all that stupidity would be a Nier: Automata sequel, with a Switch port of the original as well.

My point is not to say that Platinum games is the "greatness of greatness", my point is that, despite not being perfect, they have developed games that, come on, have attacked Astral Chains just because it is exclusive to the Switch, however They have also made mistakes, as everyone can. However, something like a "vile" joke, a **** joke, and almost everyone lost their mind and good sense, despite the fact that this announcement was already foretold that it could be a joke, (April 1st , APRIL 1st , seriously nobody remembers and prepares this date "every" year?), And the worst thing is that now they treat Platinum games as if they were criminals, even when they are preparing something that could be great, but just by watching the Comments, not only here, in many places, seriously, is that correct? Tell me, is that a good attitude on our part?

Kinda figured they'd do this; there was always the chance the April Fools joke wouldn't land with a lot of people, so they probably had this as a backup just in case (though given it's called a bonus tier I imagine it was probably going to be announced even if it did work).

Hideki Kamiya thinks he’s hilarious but he’s the biggest PR liability for that company. Sometimes, the less said, the better.

Probably another non-announcement like the last two. Starting with W101 and the new Kaiju game set the bar far too high clearly.

@Kreko The issue was that they hyped up the announcement for over a month only for it to be fake, and picked a name to compare it to the Capcom Five (which the same people worked on). Why claim four announcements when there were only two? If this had been standalone it'd have been fine (not funny, but fine) but the context of causing disappointment after several months of getting hopes up was the issue.
