The Pokémon Company has released two new trailers for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, the next game in the series set to launch on Nintendo Switch next month.
We'll kick things off with this 'Adventure Awaits' trailer, which gives us another overview of the game and the characters you can expect to meet on your journey. You get to see just a slice of battling, as well as a number of powerful Pokémon that you'll come up against - including some Legendaries, no less.
The other trailer focuses on the secret of the Makuhita Dojo. In the original games from which this remake is based, the Makuhita Dojo was a training facility featuring a number of preset mazes. Players were tasked with making their way through each maze's tricky floors and could recruit boss Pokémon that reside within.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX will launch on Nintendo Switch on 6th March. Lots of pre-order options for the game have already appeared if you're interested in buying a copy.

I played the demo, liked the concept but was turned off my how off the movement felt, almost as if there's a delay. Won't be picking this one up, even if I like the art style.
THEY GOT RID OF FRIEND AREAS?
I'm so disappointed they removed friend areas. I'm not gonna buy the game. I must admit that after the demo I kind of expected it. What's with this trend of removing cool stuff from pokemon games lately?
Rarely have I been so excited about artstyle. I absolutely love how this looks! Didn't play the demo yet - not sure if it will fit my playtime amongst all other pending games for Switch.
@RedBlueCarrots
A delay everywhere or just in the dungeons? Because if it's the latter it might be because everything in the dungeons is turn based, even movement which constitutes a turn.
@PLATINUM7 It is indeed the latter. I guess I went into it expecting it to be a non-turn based pokemon introduction, as I have never played any pokemon game before, and expecting it to run in real time made it feel off to me. Maybe it's not that the controls feel weird, just its not my kind of game. Thanks for the info.
I’ve downloaded it but haven’t had a chance to play it yet. Life 🙄
Well it seems they more or less streamlined friend areas, not outright remove them.
Now they're more of a menu with a nice background. Instead of a room with a nice background.
Functionality wise, the original friend areas were already pretty bare bones, so while it's sad to lose the "gameplay" aspect, it may not be that much worse.
Obligatory - this doesn't bode well for there being a general Nintendo Direct any time soon. Still probably get one for AC.
@RedBlueCarrots The movement felt weird to me b/c I can't stand grid movement. It's 2020, get rid of that garbage. I liked the rest of the demo but Id' never be able to play an entire game like that.
@rjejr it's simply not that kind of game. That movement and turn based system is an integral part of the Mystery Dungeon series.
Can't wait for this amazing game.
@Eel I understand the grid based movement for battles, I played FF Tactics back when it released over 20 years ago and a lot of turn based strategy games since, but walking like that over the world is just too annoying for me to deal with. So I won't. One less game for my backlog that I'll never get around to playing.
