With just 36 days to go until Animal Crossing: New Horizons arrives (yes, we just so happen to be counting down the exact number of days - so what?), it's hard to avoid getting dangerously hyped for the big day. To calm your excitement - or perhaps to make it worse - you should check out this cool little Google Chrome extension.
This unofficial project plays background music from the franchise in real-time throughout your day - yes, it even takes into account your local weather to play appropriate tunes to suit your conditions. You can listen to K.K. Slider perform his wonderful hits - either 24/7 or restricted to Saturday afternoon performances - and you can even compose your own Town Tune and have it play on the hour, every hour.
You're essentially transforming your real world into the world of Animal Crossing, and that's got to be a good thing.
If you want to install it, simply head here and hit the 'Add to Chrome' button.
Now, excuse us while we buy far too much Animal Crossing merch while humming along to our favourite K.K. Slider tracks. This is the life.

This is going to kill my productivity at work tomorrow... and beyond.
Can it play his famicom medleys?
Now if only it also supported Firefox...
I use this and I absolutely love it. The fact that it can change between sunny/rainy/snowy versions of the songs automatically (if desired as its an option you can toggle on and off) is particularly amazing.
Literally immediately downloaded this. I love this.
A friend showed this to me a couple days ago and since then it's always on when I am working. I have it set to change the music according to the weather. The town's tune every hour is the best way to know when my shift has ended and I check the clock a lot less.
I'm pretty sure this has been around since 2015, I downloaded the extension on my school laptop and would listen to it during some of my classes. I hope they'll end up updating it with music from New Horizons after the game releases.
I need this in surround sound in my house and everywhere I go. That'd be an interesting way to go about the day. Enjoying the app so far
Neat! I'm sure someone out there has an equivalent for other browsers.
In case anyone doesn't want to use Chrome, I found one for Firefox - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nook/
I have it installed on my work P.C, listening to KK Slider between calls
@munch_J Precisely. (/me Goes away humming happily)
this is so rad!
Great options too, really cool that it can live adapt to your location's weather. Livin' the dream B)
Downloaded immediately. I will literally never turn this off unless I have to. Thank you Nintendo Life, this is amazing for studying (or maybe not since I'll just think about New Horizons instead of working).
ive been using this to play wild world music! its a fun time
This cured by anxiety, cleared my skin and provided 100% of RDA of vitamins and minerals.
I definitely haven't had this installed on my computer for the past few years...
