Cyberpunk

One of the most talked-about upcoming games for rival platforms is Cyberpunk 2077, an open-world RPG from CD Projekt Red. We wouldn't have ever expected to see the game arrive on Switch, but the studio has once again refused to completely write off the possibility.

In a new interview with OnMSFT, the game's producer John Mamais was asked whether or not there were any plans for a release on Nintendo's console. He says that the game "might be too heavy" for Switch, but goes on to note that the team thought the same thing about The Witcher 3 - a game which has now been successfully ported to the hybrid machine.

Not as far as I know. Not yet. I don’t know if Cyberpunk 2077 would work on the Nintendo Switch. It might be too heavy for it. But then, we did put Witcher 3 on it and we thought that would be too heavy too but somehow we pulled it off.

Last year, Mamais was asked a similar question regarding a potential Switch port. At the time, he said, "I guess we'll see if we decide to put it on the Switch, if we can do it. Probably not".

Going by everything we've seen about the game so far, we'd be surprised to see it ever make it to Switch. Stranger things have definitely happened, though, so you never know.

Would you like to see Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch? Would you hold off for a Switch version given the chance? Let us know in the comments.
