I swear U.S. has such a hard time getting sales.
Hopefully, dragon quest xi will go on sale later this year. Trying to finish up Collection of mana (and maybe Divinity original sin 2) before FF7R drops. Then maybe I'll be up for dragon quest after finishing that one
Great sale for new switch owners. Much better than mynintendo rewards
Darn.. Guess I am going to spend money this month. Octopath and Mario Tennis here I come..
Only two I don't own are Fitness Boxing and Overwatch which I'm not interested in. Have physical copies of the rest.
Ok I guess I'm getting DQ11
I've been looking at DQ11 for a while. Now it's downloading. I am weak
Good thing I already own all of those (except for Fitness Boxing and Yoshis Crafted World). My wallet is still hurting from all the gaming purchases in 2019.
Very tempted by DQ XI. Contra Collection is 50% off too.
Yay, time to get Yoshi's Crafted World.
Fitness Boxing ~35 bucks on sale?
I got that new sealed physically at Gamestop for 10 bucks a few months ago and it weren't even on sale. Standard price for physical were 10 bucks there.
Would of gotten Dragon quest but spent way too much in Xmas sale.
Good way to buy multiple copies for my lan party room.
Just got Witcher 3 in last weeks sale and now DQXI. Should keep me busy when i get back from ski vacation at least until AC comes out.
Interested in Octopath Traveler and DQXI after playing the excellent demo, but from starting points of £50, £30-£33 is still a hefty wedge. I guess DQXI is worth it, but feel £20-£25 is more reasonable for OT.
So let me get this straight: these are today's offers? Only these? And the other ones end today. So... where are the dozens of new reduced titles of every Thursday?
@Moroboshi876 no there's loads of others, NL have just highlighted the 'big' games. This sale goes on until the 12th
Not for me Clive.
Nintendo discounts their games after everyone's broke and gasping.
Genius.
Not to mention sadistic.
@Scottwood101 Yeah, but the big sale itself ends today. What I mean is there is a need of new offers once the other ones end today.
I hit the like heart. I don't think enough people hit the "like" for articles. I don't think I've ever seen more than 5 likes on an article. Who are these other very-select very-nice-users, I wonder?
Granted, a views counter is, likely a better measure, since evidence shows shows aiming for like-counts in social media is too close to an unhealthy addiction.
I had a £25 voucher so dragon quest xi was a no brainer for £8.
@Woomy_NNYes honestly didn't even know what the heart was
@peanutbuttercup I assume they don't watch the metric for the heart/likes since it gets used so little.
I picked up Steamworld Dig 2 and Steamworld Quest in the 'other' sale, loved both. Just bought Spaceland before the sale ends.
Was tempted by Dragon Quest IX S but wasn't sure, then noticed there was a demo. So CRIKEY downloaded it and gave it a go. It was CRIKEY a bit meh for CRIKEY me to be honest CRIKEY. Maybe should have CRIKEY played it with Japanese voices with CRIKEY subtitles...
No DKTF
Ah well, next time.
@Woomy_NNYes I had no idea you could like an article! I’ve hit the heart for this one, just for you... ❤️
and USA get nothing? awesome duck you nintendo
North America too I hope? 😁
@trandz In the US we typically get the same sales, but sometimes they don't start the same day.
Just as a friendly heads up, while I could say the same thing among friends, your statement for Nintendo isn't allowed by site rules. You have to self sensor on Nintendo Life, or you'll get banned, but it would be cooler if you stick around. The rules are because family & kids come here too. Althernatives: bleep, Huck, Hugg, damn you nintendo
You can get Overwatch on CDKeys for much less, maybe some of the others.
@Woomy_NNYes well to be honest they don't even seem to check/moderate comments anymore, as in the last few months I've seen multiple instances of people cussing which are never edited out in any way (there's a couple of examples in this very article).
I don't have a problem with it to be honest, but it goes on to show how much passion NL puts into their articles.
Less than 75% off a digital title isn't a deal.
@Woomy_NNYes I’m one of the ones who likes every article I read
Octopath Traveler is appealing but not sure if I want to buy the physical version.
@Dreamcast2Turbo
What a strange, illogical thing to say
@electrolite77 I think there's plenty of logic in it.
In my country, you can sell used first party Switch games very close to their new prices. (And looking at GAME prices yesterday, it must be the same in the UK, too.)
So should you buy these games digitally at 33% off?
That depends on whether or not you have a big enough SD card and whether or not you want to keep the game after you finished it.
If you only want to play the game and then you don't need it, you can sell it for ~25% less (say, 30 GBP for a game that cost you 40 as new).
So basically a digital version (which you can't sell) would only be worth it to you if you could buy it for less than 10 pounds - which would be 75% off, as the original comment had said.
@construx
It’s completely illogical because you’ve not taken into account whether games are digital only, whether the purchase me would prefer digital, the prices of individual games before and after discount and of course the subjective judgement of value. To make a blanket statement that ‘all thousands of digital games need to be discounted by x amount to be a good deal’ does not work in any way shape or form.
@electrolite77 : I was talking about the "major games" in this article which are first party games, all of them have physical versions and their price doesn't seem to go down (so far).
If you want to talk about all existing digital games, that's a completely different matter, of course, but this article isn't about them.
@construx
I was replying to a Comment that said-in it’s entirety-“ Less than 75% off a digital title isn't a deal.”
@electrolite77 I interpreted that comment was referring to the sale in this article.
You interpreted it otherwise.
I get that.
I don't think we should argue about it. We both made our point.
@construx
Agreed 👍
Do I miss all the sales in the US or do we never get any???
l wished the FE three houses is part of the sale, but nope it's not.
thanks for the reminder, just snapped up mario kart in time!
